It is a good place to spend a few days on vacation, incredible views, beautiful beaches in the surroundings, although the water is fresh, good restaurants, and the villages of Torrox, and Nerja, are very close. The development has a good swimming pool, and is quiet. Yes, the car is necessary, as there are some important to walk to;), otherwise it is a fantastic place.
