Group of 4 enjoyed our stay in historic York. Apartment had everything we needed with small but workable kitchen, comfortable beds, and great location to access local sites and transit stations. We liked getting fresh bread at the bakery across the street and groceries at convenient Tesco express next door. Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby as well. Host provides clear instructions for code entry to the apartment, good for flexible arrival times. We did not use the additional single bed that's available upon request for an extra fee. The apartment has a few steps in it to account for the house settling at different levels, and street noise/conversations can be heard clearly through closed windows, so may not be the best choice for individuals with mobility concerns or very light sleepers. But the apartment worked well for our needs and was also a great home base for excursions to Knaresborough and Harrogate, Thirsk, Howardian Hills, North York Moors, and Whitby. Would return.

We had a great stay in York! The location was amazing, however, possibly due to it being Easter, it was very loud on Friday night, but the other nights were fine. The location is brilliant, we found the flat clean and in great condition. Toys for our son - these were a hit! During the stay I had a question about the hob and they were so quick and helpful which was amazing.

We usually stay in the Grand Hotel whenever we are York, However we decided to stay in airbnb this time as we travelled this time to York with family and a toddler. I’m delighted to have booked Ben and Katie’s home. It is indeed one of the best airbnb i have stayed at. It is spotless, walkable to train, shambles, york minster, you name it. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby on top of that a tesco and savers feet away. There are plenty of toys, all TV’s in bedrooms and lounge have netflix!! It felt like staying in a 5 star hotel but better! If you are looking for a place in york, this is your sign to book it! Surely you’ll want to stay longer. Lots of instructions to follow on how to use this and that. A book with manuals and recommendations. A responsive host. What else can you ask for? Our stay is as wonderful as the host. Thanks again Katie and Ben. x

Property Manager Terms

  • For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
  • For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 7 full days before the listing's local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email), otherwise no refund will be given. If only 50% of the reservation has been paid, no refund will be issued and the remaining 50% will simply not be charged.
  • If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
  • Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
  • Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
  • A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
