I absolutely loved the stay at the cave house in Artenara! The view from the balcony was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. I booked it mostly for the view and it did not disappoint. The house itself had everything that I needed. Very modern and clean bathroom too. I visited in November and the restaurants closed at 17:00 which was a little disappointing but understandable since its not very busy. Overall had an amazing time exploring the island and very happy to have such a beautiful spot to come back to at the end of my day!

Fabulous place. Fully loaded apartment. Kitchen, bathroomt had everything we needed and even more. Very comfortable beds. Magnificent view. You have to see it with your own eyes. Morning coffee has never tasted so good. Quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Lots to see. The host, Juan, was very friendly and helpful, although we didn't need anything. Everything was perfect. Big thanks to the entire Living Artenara team. Highly recommended. Gran Canaria is amazing

Beautiful cave apartment in the pretty village of Artenara. Unobstructed view, quiet, very well equipped, very comfortable bedding. Next to the very interesting ethnographic museum and a very good interpretation centre in the village. Perfect for those who love peace, mountains and hiking. Very good communication with Living Artenara.

Such a beautiful stay, the most perfect place. The view from the property is incredible, did not feel real it was so amazing, had many amazing evenings watching the sunset & stars & quiet morning coffees on the balcony. Such a peaceful relaxing home & friendly chilled neighbourhood. The house has everything you’d need and more, super clean, lots of towels/spare pillows etc, beds comfortable, great kitchen facilities, bathroom/shower is lovely. The Living Artenara team are incredible helpful and friendly, a very useful guide on all the property details as well as a very helpful guide of Gran Canaria with great recommendations of area & hikes. Very easy check in/out process & Living Artenara team were very responsive & helpful via email/phone if we needed. Local shops very short walk away, also interesting cave museum right next door as well. Very close drive to Tejeda another great town and many great hiking routes on your doorstep. Such a dream place, thank you so much :)

Beautiful cellar house in a beautiful environment! The road to Artenara is very winding but the setting is really exceptional. The place was very clean and nice, as described and Juan was very nice and responsive. A successful stay very exotic!

A dream. We wanted peace and quiet and a great view. We got it. It’s a magical space. Our cave had everything we needed including a warm blanket that we used whilst star gazing. You know when your host has thought of everything you could need, it makes you feel welcome and at home.

The apartment is perfect for exploring the mountains! It’s just like the pictures and is slightly cosier than it looks at night. The day times are amazing in Artenara, you can hike out directly from the apartment, or a small drive takes you to some spectacular walks. Only downside for me was the evenings, the local town is closed and it’s too dangerous on the roads at night. If you’re game for beautiful hikes in the day, then reading in the evening it’s perfect. Can recommend this apartment and would definitely consider coming back :)

Artenara is so beautiful and peaceful and you’re really out the way in the mountains at this place! We loved the view from our balcony and couldn’t quite believe how beautiful it was. It was also the most wonderful accommodation and everything was as it said it would be - and bonus that the shower pressure was so good! We feel so lucky we got to stay here.

Artenara is a peaceful historic village in the hills of central Gran Canaria. The views from the accommodation are amazing, the village is peaceful & scenic, you really feel you’re in the heart of a Gran Canaria rural community. Accommodation as described- clean and comfortable-we had everything we needed for our short stay. Host excellent great communication & responsive. If you want breathtaking views and a rural retreat in the hills this is the place for you!

Exceptional 😍 The most beautiful view of Gran Canaria, we don't get tired of spending our evenings in front of the sunset show on Roque Nublo and Bentayga I can only recommend that you experience a few nights in a cave, with everything... comfort, amenities and cleanliness. Artenara is a beautiful village and has all the useful little shops.... and Tejeda 15 minutes by car. Many hikes in the area... in short, you can book without a second thought

Honest review. We absolutely loved it. The view from balcony to the surrounding mountains was something that you have to experience for yourself. Every morning drinking coffee and watching landscape was something special. Night stars were so bright that you can see milky way so clearly. Very beautiful and peaceful. Bed was very comfy. Kitchen good enough with good size fridge. They even have washing machine which you can use twice a week. I guess the only down side was ant infection in the kitchen. But to be honest it didn't bother us that much. You just needed to be extra careful not to leave anything in the kitchen over night. In the end it was worth every penny. Would definitely recommend 100%

This is the place if you want to get away from the usual tourist cities and just have peace and serenity. Enjoy nature at its most magnificent. The home is absolutely stunning and designed to give us guests a great experience. Everything is thought out down to the last detail. And imagine a bathroom with a view of mountains and valleys. The host is also absolutely unbeatable and to get ahold of 24/7. There are plenty of things to do in the area. Both viewpoints, restaurants, and the opportunity for wonderful walks in nature. Las Palmas city is not far away if you have rented a car. Just be careful.: have you first been there once, then you will definitely want to go back again.

Everything was as described, for me it was a dream to be here. i have nothing to fault it. Unfortunately, a stone blow in the designated parking lot has destroyed my windscreen, but you are just powerless against nature. However, it does not affect my absolutely positive impression of this accommodation, great keep it up!!!

The tranquility and views are unbeatable. The house was well appointed and clean; to enjoy a tourism experience following the local tradition, it was very special to me. The village also has free museums that you can visit. It's close to attractions like Roque Nublo or Tamadaba's natural park for hiking. Just keep in mind that the roads are difficult to access soon, the roads are difficult to access and the restaurants are only open for the day.

Everything has been great! It's a very nice place, surrounded by nature and with a lot of peace. Perfect for a remote worker like me, the internet connection went very well, stable and hassle-free. The apartment has everything you need and the views are spectacular! Highly recommend walks in the woods in the mountains! Juan has been a very friendly host, always attentive and giving very good recommendations.

If you love peace and quiet, this location is the perfect choice. I was here in December, and after sunset (18:10) the village got empty, restaurants about to close. But no worries, the cave house is a nicely decorated shelter, surprisingly good temperature in winter even without heating. I’m a night owl, but I found it very easy here to adjust myself to the rhythm of the early bird. As you wake up, on time for the sunrise, you can shower with a view on the mountains, sip your coffee on the private terras overlooking the valley, see the clouds trying to force their way in, or dissipate as they move trough the dale. There are lots of hiking routes around, never crowded, at least not this time of year. I walked hours meeting no one, not counting the shepherd and his flock of sheep on the other side of the valley. I stayed here only four days, I could have stayed four weeks….

That was something else. We really enjoyed our stay. We found peace and some calming days in the mountains. We could easily spent the whole day in the apartment and just enjoy the amazing view. Lot‘s of great hiking trails are close to the apartment. We feel recharged and already miss the mountains.

Beautiful location - couldn’t ask for a better place to stay & the view from the balcony is truly unbeatable. The apartment was very well equipped and had everything that we could need. The only downside was the hot water in the bathroom - boiling hot from the sink and the shower would sometimes turn freezing cold very quickly. Juan, the host, was very helpful, frequently in contact and was able to help with any issues. I can definitely recommend staying here!

Very scenic and great quiet place to stay even for a long time. We spend enjoyable weeks living in Nature and Silence apartments and would definitely return next time for calm and silent atmosphere. There are almost every kitchen utensils needed in the kitchen, average-size fridge, a good bathroom, great table to work at etc in room. There were some minor problems with access to the laundry room, but it totally compensated by the rest of the service. I also would like one more time say thanks to the Owner, Juan, and the team for giving us a chance to experience that kind of service, and for helping us in this not easy times! I hope one day we shall return again!

A beautiful accommodation with probably the best view of the mountains in Gran Canaria. We enjoyed our stay here very much and found it wonderful to watch the starry sky at night directly from the terrace. We would come again at any time.

A great place to stay with a sensational view from the terrace. If you are looking for something extraordinary and peace, you will find it there. Juan the host is super friendly and has lots of tips about Artenara and the area. Many great viewpoints can be reached by car in this uniquely beautiful landscape. But also on foot you can explore the country and people on foot via many hiking trails.

My only quibble is that the accommodation is called when it’s cold outside. There is a little heater but it is not enough, at least not for my taste. However, when the weather is better it’s not so cold this is simply a brilliant accommodation absolutely 5* or better still. It is incredibly beautiful located with wonderful views and the host is super responsive and helpful.

Really unique place to stay, and experience the traditional cave housing in Artenara! The location is perfect - a fantastic view when the sun is out, and protected from the winds coming from the north. The apartment is a short walk to the extensive trail network on the island, and there are cafes and small grocery stores within a few min walk. We enjoyed the fast wifi for remote work and relaxing on the sunny terrace. As a quick note, there is no heat here and when weather is nice this is no problem. I’d recommend bringing some warmer clothes for lounging, as it does get quite cold up here in Artenara. Overall a lovely stay, we’d visit again!

What a fantastic spot to spend a holiday! We absolutely loved our stay at the Cave House - it's even nicer than what you see in the photos and we really didn't want to leave. As other reviews have said, the view from the terrace is absolutely stunning - we loved watching the sun setting in an evening, and eating breakfast al fresco in the morning sunshine. Artenara is a lovely little village with some excellent walks right from the doorstep (the walking leaflets in the apartment were really useful). Juan was a great host - he sent detailed info about check-in before arrival and also was on hand to answer any questions during our stay. The welcome wine and cheese was delicious - thank you! We would highly recommend this unique accommodation to anyone and can't wait to return in the future.

We had a lovely time in Cave House 2...everything was as advertised and shown in photos...though the views were even better...they are amazing. The apartment was clean, cosy and well equipped. A nice welcome gift of wine much appreciated. We managed to do a fair amount of walking..lots of up and downs! The area is very peaceful as is the town... rather quiet..but it is January..our only quibble would be the restaurants don't stay open into the evening... If you stay here ..maybe buy your supplies before you start your journey... there are a couple of mini markets in town ... but don't have quite the same selection of food as the bigger stores.

If you’re thinking about booking this, I strongly recommend you to do it. I stayed for 1 week working remotely and it was truly amazing. The view is really amazing, much better in real life than the picture. Especially in the evening when the sun is going down. Juan as the host provided exceptional communication as well. 10/10!

Best view out of an apartment we ever had (and we had much)! The cave is very cozy and clean and besides spices very well equipped. The communication with the host was great as well. The apartment and the surroundings are quiet. We definitely enjoyed all the hikes around Artenara. Actually you don't even need a car, it's all nearby. Even arriving not with a car, but by bus (line 220 from Las Palmas) is possible.

If you think about booking this place - don't hesitate. This has been one of the greatest place we have been stayed at. The view is breathtaking, and you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the beautiful terrace as the sun is always there. It is a great place for hiking, as Artenara and the surrounding offers great hiking tours. However, it is better to have a car to reach the place. The apartment is very cute and equipped with everything you need. The communication with the host was perfect, as he was always reachable for us. We warmly can recommend this place and would love to come back ourselves.

A wonderful and well-equipped place to stay. Little touches like cling film, kitchen foil, sharp kitchen knives (we've not come across sharp ones before, which usually makes chopping veg a challenge!), spare pillows and more made it a home away from home. Great communication with Juan, who made life super-easy for us. Oh, and that view. It was out of this world!

We had a great stay at the cave house! The view from the terrace is really one of the most stunning views in Gran Canaria. We also enjoyed watching the stars at night on the terrace. It is a great base for hiking in Tamadaba. It was a joy coming home to the warm and cosy cave house after a long hike. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a proper meal. Great beds and shower. The cave house was sparkling clean. Communication with Juan, the property manager went very smoothly. There are 2 small supermarkets, just a few minutes walking from the property. We totally recommend this place!

Very beautiful accomodation with an astonishing view. Perfect temperature inside the cave house. Well equipped kitchen. Fast wifi. Excellent hosts who are always available and provide assistance. Juan was so nice to allow us to use the laundry room despite our short stay and even offered a late check out without us asking for it. Keep in mind that the location is up in the mountains and driving to other parts on the island might take a while, when planning your stay. Nevertheless, the scenic roads make up for it!

The cave house is beautifully located overlooking the mountains, which is simply breathtaking. Located in the heart of the island, it was a good starting point for tours all over the island. However, you have to expect longer trips because of the serpentines. Recommended: car with automatic.

we had a really lovely time at the cave house. Everything was clean and so much more spacious than pictured. The patio with the mountain view was definitely the highlight. Most of the day/night was spent sitting outside watching the fog roll in and the goat/cow bells ring. The perfect getaway!

The cave is situated in a beautiful surrounding and you’ll enjoy awesome views over the mountains, especially during sunrise and sunset! A perfect base for hiking activities, there are dozens of possible tracks in the area.. Communication was friendly and easy. We would definitely come back!
