Lovely peaceful accommodation in the hills. Fantastic views from the balcony which we enjoyed having our breakfast on. Really clean and had everything we needed. Antenara a bit quiet at this time of year but Tejeda within easy drive away with more restaurants. Good communication from Juan.

Perfect place to disconnect! The location is beautiful (keep in mind that it is far from the big towns and you need a car). The treatment with the whole team (both for check-in and check-out and during the stay) was very good. They always respond to messages super fast. If you're looking for a secluded place with good views and quiet, this is the ideal place!

We had a wonderful experience in Artenara! The apartment is perfect for a quiet holiday with spectacular views over the mountains. The Living Artenara team is attentive to details, making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Nestled on the mountainside, Artenara offers spectacular views and a quiet hard to find in other places. From February 5-10, the weather was pleasant, with temperatures between 12°C and 18°C. Although the evenings were cool, the apartment would heat up easily with a portable heater. Take note of the guidebook with recommendations, which you will receive upon arrival. In February, 3 of the 4 restaurants will close at 5pm. It may even be an asset to have dinner early, and then enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. :) Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality, we highly recommend!

Friendly welcome, good communication. We didn't miss TV because the wifi is fast enough for video transmission. Even at 6-10 degrees outside temperature, you can keep the apartment pleasantly warm with the heater. The entire apartment is clean and furnished for a pleasant stay. The view is magnificent!!!

We had a wonderful stay! Communication with the host was excellent, and the apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures - beautifully furnished and very well-equipped. Artenara is a charming small town with breathtaking views, especially from the terrace, where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset. We highly recommend this place and would love to visit again!

The place was immaculately clean and well equipped for a long stay, it was very secure and comfortable with magnificent views of the mountains the team was very quick with responses to any queries I had the internet was fast and perfect for my needs if I had to pick faults I would say it was unfortunate there was nowhere to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine as the balcony / walkway was completely in the shade plus the single beds are not very wide and not at all the fault of Las Canteras but there is a storm drain on the road outside that makes a considerable noise when cars drive over it which quite annoying very early in the morning and woke me on several occasions I would like to thank the team at Las Canteras for a very enjoyable stay and would certainly consider staying again

I had an amazing stay at this place, perfect for both enjoying nature and getting some work done. I’ll definitely be back for future vacations. The Living Artenara team was very helpful, providing clear instructions and great local recommendations. The apartment looked exactly like the pictures, and they even had a snack waiting in the kitchen when I arrived, which was a really nice touch. If you plan to explore beyond Artenara, I highly recommend renting a car. It made visiting Tejeda, the next town over, much easier. Also, don't miss a trip to Pico de las Nieves – it's well worth it! A quick note: the local shops close at almost 9 PM, and restaurants tend to close early on weekdays.

Amazing spot with perfect views for Barranco de Tejeda. Peaceful surroundings even there is a construction in front of the house (the Casas Cuevas museum is improving their spot, it will finish before this summer). Totally recommend to stay here and enjoy the nature and the local vibe. Juan and his team has curated an amazing spot in the mountains and the attention to detail, service and communication is perfect. You will enjoy so much your stay, totally recommend it!

I stayed at this awesome rustic cave house by Juan for a week, located in Artenara, which is the highest village in Gran Canaria. The views were absolutely gorgeous, especially the sunset view. Just wow! The place was perfect for remote working with an adjustable standing desk, and high-speed internet. There are a couple of high-rated restaurants around, such as Bar Restaurante La Majada and Biocrepería RiscoCaido (require booking!) The property is surrounded by walking trails, which was perfect for hiking. Highly recommend it if you're looking to disconnect (from urban areas) and get closer to nature!

Property was in a stunning location and despite our spending a week hiking in the region, there few views throughout the hikes that were better than the view from the balcony. We visited during a cold February, so the area was very quiet and parking was easy. On the downside, some restaurants were not fully open and it did get cold at night, though adequate heaters were provided in the apartment. The apartment was adequately equipped for basic self catering. Because of the time of year, we did not spend long on the balcony. However, it is quite narrow (about 80cm) and also serves as the walkway to serve the adjacent apartment, so probably would have felt a bit cramped if spending time outside in warmer months. That said, the view was amazing...

It was worth every penny:) location amazingly beautiful, flat it self was cozy little place. Hosts were quick to respond if we had any questions. On arrival we were greeted with some food that was left by host and was just on time because after a long flight and drive we were starving but in all the rush didn’t buy any food with us. For that very big thank you to host:) Overall we really enjoyed our stay and definitely will be coming back.

This is wonderful place. Surrounding area is just a picture come alive. Many hiking paths to walk around, if you decided to check that the view from your kitchen’s window is real enough. I have a work in a laptop with me and had to work despite the around beauties, and have got everything for my work: comfy chair, additional monitor, adjustable table, high speed internet. If you want to explore the island, better rent a car, additionally it helps to get to shopping malls or bigger grocery shops once or twice a weak, they almost all are downhill away in a coast area. The whole experience definitely worth it!

We had a really great time and can absolutely recommend the apartment. The view is just incredible and you are gonna miss it badly afterwards. Before we arrived we thought it is one of many great views on the island, but when exploring Gran Canaria you very fast recognize, that this is actually quite "the view" everyone wants to travel to. So besides the view the location is the best argument for this Airbnb - located directly in Artenara it is the perfect spot for everyone who visits Gran Canaria for nature and hiking - but use a rental car. Also you dont have to drive to every hiking area by car, just around the area are some great trails (recommendation: hike to Cruz de Tejeda directly from the apartment). For the rooms, they have everything you need and are perfectly clean, but make sure to bring some warm clothes, since in the mountains it can get pretty cold at night and you are basically living in a cavehouse. Also dont forget, that the warm water comes from a boiler and so you have to wait at least 20 minutes in between when two people want to shower after one another. We loved that there are chairs and a table that you can put in front of the apartment and use the way to the apartment as a balcony, enjoying the view from there is just perfect. Juan is a great host, who took care of everything and we had great communication. We stayed for 11 nights and on one day there was a technical issue with the water, but Juan managed to had it fixed on the same day, giving us updates on everything. Artenara is a beautiful small mountain village that most tourists just visit on a daytrip, which makes it perfect for you, if you want to really experience Gran Canaria and have some rest - all without that mass tourism that you can expect at most of the towns on the coasts. You will see some tourists come in groups for a viewpoint to have the same view that you actually have from your bedroom. Still there are some great restaurants and cafes just nearby and the grocery store in town has everything you need. So thanks to Juan for a great time, that we are already beginning to miss. We can recommend this airbnb by 100%. Some more tips for the ones who want to hike. Here are our favorite hikes: 1. From Llanos de la Pez to Pico de los Nieves and back (9,78km) - stunning nature, but steep on some parts. 2. From Tasartico to Playa Güigüi and back (9,17km) - not the easiest hike but the beach is worth the effort. 3. From this apartment to Cruz de Tejeda and back (14,2km) - easy hike with great views and you can have lunch at Cruz... 4. Roque Nublo - but not the direct way to the top (totally crowded), better go around it first (4,97km) so you dont miss out on the nature (and trails without tourists).

The most obvious attraction of the apartment is its location near Artenara, which offers spectacular views. We have probably never been in an apartment with such a beautiful view. You can sit outside on the walkway in front of the apartment, using it as a sort of balcony. This option somewhat compensates for the fact that the apartment itself is not very large, as can be seen from the published measurements. The photos on the Airbnb site give an accurate impression of the apartment, with the exception of the one on the main page, which apparently uses some sophisticated photographic technique to make the apartment look much brighter inside than it actually is. The apartment is still fine, but don't expect it to look exactly as in that one photo. For hikers, there is a wide range of possible hikes that you can take right from the apartment, each with its own memorable landscapes and views. Unless you're in especially good shape and have strong knees, you may need to rest between hikes, since there's a lot of uphill and downhill hiking. You can get to Artenara by bus, and then you won't need a car if you just want to enjoy hiking. There's a good grocery store in the town. We also enjoyed a couple of good concerts there. The manager, Juan, responded quickly and helpfully via email or WhatsApp whenever we had a question. Overall, we will look back with pleasure to our unique 2-week hiking vacation in Artenara.

It was pleasure to stay there. We really enjoyed the place. View was amazing and Artenara too. There are also tons of opportunities to hike. Unfortunately GPS coordinates did not work, luckily we found the house thanks to pictures provided.

A great authentic place with an amazing view over the mountains. Nearby the centre of Artenara, where you can enjoy nice food and drinks. We really enjoyed our stay here. Please bear in mind that it's a cave house in the mountains, so it's probably a bit colder than other places in Gran Canaria, so it's wise to bring some warm clothing. The apartment was very clean, had a great internet connection and got all the appliances we required!

Apartment has the minimum necessary (be careful no oven or microwave). We slept very well and the view is beautiful, we had several aperitifs at sunset, it was exotic. We recommend this listing that can be suitable for a couple with 2 children.

I stayed in the apartment for a week and completely fell in love with the place. I could live here! The view is amazing and the place is right around the corner from the main square in Artenara with all the facilities you need. Close to trails as well. Can not recommend it enough.
