The apartment is stylishly furnished, in a clever mix of original Tuscan furniture and contemporary bohemian decor.
You can experience the authentic flavor of a traditional Florentine house, given by the wooden ceilings, brick arches, and typical architectural details. The living area is large, with an articulated space, high ceiling and open kitchen.
The space
It has three double bedrooms, one with a beautiful view of San Lorenzo and a small terrace on the roofs, and a bedroom with two single beds on the mezzanine in the living area, and three bathrooms, to comfortably accommodate 8 people. Perfect for groups or large families, it is also very quiet.This apartment is literally a stone's throw from the Duomo, less than an 8-minute walk from the station. Perfect location to visit the city. The building is located on a characteristic pedestrian street, with fashion shops, restaurants and bars with tables outside, always very lively, but without car traffic.
Around the corner is also the church of San Lorenzo, with the library designed by Michelangelo, which can be seen from the windows of the apartment.
The building is a typical Florentine palazzo in the historic center, built in medieval times and then remodeled many times to date.
The decor is a clever mix of modern and traditional with a bohemian flavor, which goes well with the very authentic atmosphere and antique details.

Other things to note
The apartment is on the second (and a half) floor without an elevator, 5 flights, 62 steps. The best way to get there is on foot from the main station (about 8 minutes), or by taxi.It is located on a pedestrian street, not accessible to cars, so if you arrive by taxi, you will not be left exactly in front of the door. Beautiful clean upper level apartment in the heart of Florence. This place was exactly as pictured. Even though it was in the heart of all the Florence action , it was extremely quiet. Air conditioning was a must with my family of 8 and this apartment was sooo comfortable and cool after long hot days exploring the area. Very walkable to all tours and attractions as well as 10 quick minutes to the train station. The host was very responsive with any questions I had. The only downside was the 3 flights of stairs to reach the apartment but we managed. Would definitely recommend this beautiful upper level Airbnb to anyone wanting to stay in Florence!

EXCEPTIONAL location with a really great, large layout. Literally walk outside and you are in the most desired part of the whole city, we never took a taxi once. The fact that this place had 3 bathrooms was also quite nice. Every room had an ac unit which is very necessary in the summer months. My only frustration, like most guests, is the multi floor walk up which is not to be taken lightly. Luckily, we were a young group and managed well enough but it's definitely something to consider if you're coming with a lot of luggage and don't have help. that being said, you really cant expect to find anywhere that central with an elevator and that much charm so accept this as the tradeoff and you're good.
