Great spot! Marla was lovely. Weather was less than ideal but the hot tub and fireplace more than made up for it. A quick drive in to Westport for ice cream and dinner made it extra fun. Also lots of canoes and kayaks for use on the lake which made it easy to keep busy. Be sure to request a full tour of the grounds so you don’t miss any of the good spots!

Views of lake creates an atmosphere of cottage living. The bedroom & hot tub views are beautiful. A suggestion: to cut shrubby around birch bark tree opening clearer view. A non-slip mat needed for the hot tub deck. An outdoor drying rack for towels useful. Ideal if two decks connected. The 2 Lake House rentals are situate very close. During 5 night stay our neighbours, deck/hot tub at Lake House had no privacy. Our unit came with a pull out privacy screen but does little to offer privacy. Boating opportunities include peddle boats, canoes, stand up paddle boats at door step. The beach is shared! Boat launch area should be relocated as distraction. Pets are permitted. Rules request dogs on leash however renters/staff let dogs wander. One would expect a honeymoon cottage with items of romance - his & her robes etc but missing. When removing bedding, no mattress/pillow protectors. Good hygiene suggestion during busy rental season. Overall lovely cottage which wish to return.

Our experience at the honeymoon house was amazing! The cabin is clean and beautiful, the lakefront view is breathtaking plus there’s so much to do on the property (canoes, kayaks, badminton, boat rentals, tiki bar and more!) Marla and Larry were excellent hosts, very friendly and responsive. They are continuously improving their property to ensure the guests enjoys their stay and have an amazing and unique experience which is truly wonderful. Thank you Marla and Larry. We loved our stay and we will certainly be back! :)

The cabin was absolutely amazing. Romantic, cozy, clean and has every amenity you could ever want. The staff on the property are friendly and helpful and we will absolutely be back. The only advice I’d give is to make sure you have all the check in info before you head on the road because you quickly lose cell service as you get closer to the property and that made accessing check in info tricky. But other than that it was a DELIGHT. One of my new faves ❤️

The Little Cottage was just as advertised: charming, steps from the lake, perfect for a visit of a few days. The on-site team was extraordinary, very responsive, super friendly and helpful. Look forward to a return visit.

This was an absolutely dream vacation. Exactly as advertised and more. The kitchen felt like it was tailor made for us, air fryer, ice cream maker and fully stocked utensils and tools meant we were able to cook whatever we wanted. The views in the living room, bedroom and from the hot tub were gorgeous. We rented kayaks and loved being able to just walk out of the place to the beach and hop in to paddle away. All the staff was lovely and offered us lots of suggestions about what to do and where to go on the water. This was the most relaxing time my husband and I have had in a long time. We will 100% be returning.

Thanks Marla for having us at your property Aug. 2-6th. My husband and I had the opportunity to get away just the two for the first time in 10 years. We really enjoyed the cottage itself - so well appointed. Loved all the details and found the bed very comfortable. We brought our two small pups and REALLY enjoyed the dog friendliness of the property. The only challenge we had was were sandwiched between three families who had rented the cottage on either side of us. The families had multiple kids and we did not feel as though the 'shared' waterfront was useable for us. The pictures of the cottage did not show the proximity to the cottage directly beside us. Privacy was a bit of an issue. Overall we did really enjoy our stay and would definitely consider renting a more private cottage on your lovely property.

We had a great stay at The Little House! Location-wise, it can’t be beat. We wanted a quiet spot where we had access to a lake for swimming and where we could stay put for a few days. Marla’s spot was perfect for that! While there are a few cottages/rentals on the property, we felt like we had plenty of privacy throughout our stay.

The cottage is picture perfect. We liked the fresh flowers and comfy bed. We had a double kayak for the duration of our stay and you can take it towards the right to the end of the lake and there are tons of water lillies. We saw lots of critters and birds and there weren’t too many bugs. We had the whole grounds to ourselves when we booked mid-week, which was great.

This little cottage was the perfect getaway for me and my fiancé. It was incredible to wake up to the view of the lake every morning. The cottage was exactly as pictured in the photos, maybe even better. We really enjoyed using the canoe, kayaks, and pedal boats at the cottage. Sherri and Martha were super nice, welcoming, and helpful. I would highly recommend this cottage to all others and I look forward to returning in the future.

This is a unforgettable trip, the people there are particularly friendly, the scenery is very beautiful, everything is the most natural and pure appearance. It perfectly combines natural scenery and human living art. Because, with three dogs, we will hear the sound of wild animals when walking out at night, so if you can, you don’t have to go out after dark. Our dogs also enjoy their time very much, and get along well with the dogs of the management. It is a very beautiful hideaway.

This is my second time back at the bobs lake cottages! The weather was a little chilly but we enjoyed the beautiful fireplace they had inside the little house. The communication was precise and on time. The amenities are complete so you basically need to bring your food and you’re set! Nothing beats the view from these cottages! Would come back here any day! Thank you for a great time.

This little cottage sits only steps from the edge of the lake and is really perfect for two people. Our host Marla was really wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. She went out of her way to make sure the accommodations were right for us (she has other cottages on the property that rent to larger groups as well). We enjoyed exploring this beautiful lake in a canoe and on SUPs. We would definitely come back.

My family of 13 and I had a fantastic time staying at Marla’s! Everyone who works at the property was beyond welcoming and did everything in their ability to help make us right at home, answer all our questions and quickly resolve any issue that we had. The boat rental on site made it extra convenient and my parents loved taking it out for a spin. The lake was warm and beautiful and we definitely cannot wait to return - we’re already thinking about coming back next year!

We stayed with Marla for 5 days in the summer. The lake is beautiful and calm, we felt like we were on a private lake. The cottage was great and had amazing views. We arrived, settled in right away and were able to begin relaxing immediately. The cottage lived up to the photos and listing. We loved waking up in the morning and having coffees out on the beach, heading out for a swim and enjoying the lake. We also rented a boat from Marla so that we could go fishing and travel around the lake. We really loved our stay and definitely plan on coming back. Marla was also super helpful with different things and was easy to get a hold of throughout our stay.
