INSIDE
Spacious living area with gas fireplace and AC. Cuddle up and watch a movie on the Smart TV or enjoy the lake views with wall to wall windows.
Big beautiful kitchen with lots of prep space - no dishwasher but everyone loves to help in this kitchen! The view is enjoyed by all who share family meals at the large dining table including extra seating at the island.
The separate sunroom is perfect for a quiet book or girl gab time.
NOTE: Playpen/Highchair available upon request
OUTSIDE
Your family will enjoy the large yard perfect for games and having fun on the swing. There's even a hammock for your afternoon nap.
Grill up some steaks to share in the outdoor dining space.
Take approx. 80 stairs down your private access to the lake. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Even if it's stoney...it's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.
At night, all will gather round the firepit for smore's and ghost stories.
NOTE: This year 2026 there is a little bit of beach but there are public accesses all along this street where there might be more

Wander downtown and find your new favorite cafe, and be sure to save a day to explore Bayfield's wineries and breweries! Just a few minutes away, you can enjoy an amazing wine tasting experience at Hessenland Inn & Schatz Winery.
With wooded trails, scenic country vistas, and stunning Lake Huron, Bayfield is a beautiful place to explore no matter the season. Bring your hiking boots and plan a trip during leaf-peeping season for a display of color, or come enjoy the quiet of winter and crunch through the snow in evergreen forests.

I'm Jennifer, I started CottageStays to share my own home with like-minded travelers who appreciate escaping to life at a slower pace. I've never forgotten how lucky I am to call Lake Huron home. Now more than ever, everyone is in need of the kind of peace and quiet that escaping to the lake can bring. It's my absolute privilege to be the one to provide families and friends a special place to gather and create memories while exploring an area so near and dear to me.
We keep our cleaning fees low by giving you the option to bring your own linens—or, for $20+hst/person. you can rent ours! This includes sheets, pillowcases, bathroom towels, and more, all freshly laundered and ready for you. (Just remember to bring your own beach towels!)
You are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement and provide government issued photo id. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. Primary renter must be over 25 photo id is required. Only those occupants listed on the Rental Agreement, are allowed to occupy the property. A separate security deposit of $500 is required. Parties and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited.
Max occupancy at all times is 6, violation will result in removal without refund. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (including noise, temp & wifi connections & may have camera's outside at the entrance)
Max 2 dogs are allowed but must sign separate pet addendum - violation will result in removal without refund.

Great getaway for a few nights! Amazing sunsets, great views, private and cool nights. Cottage was exactly what was shown online and even cuter in person. Jennifer was fantastic to deal with and always quick to respond to any inquiries that we had. House was spotless and had everything that our family needed for our stay. Perfect location, right between Grand Bend and Bayfield for shopping and all kinds of day, water activities. Beach was definitely rocky so bring your water shoes, but my son enjoyed swimming in it every night. Would definitely recommend this place to others!

My husband and I, our three grown children and their partners had a fabulous time at the cottage. The views are incredible. The sunsets are magnificent and sitting out at night looking at the stars is truly breathtaking. The cottage is just as it looks in the photos. Very comfortable. Lots of room and what was really nice was that there was a separate room for anyone that wanted to play a game while others were watching TV , or work remotely for a few hours quietly. It's appointed very well. We had everything we needed to create delicious meals and barbecue, there was ample fridge and pantry space. Also, the grounds are quite vast and so there was lots of room for us to play some outdoor games. It's close to both Grand Bend and Bayfield as well as a beautiful golf course. We spent several evenings sitting out by the outdoor fire pit roasting marshmallows and chatting. I would highly recommend this cottage for a fun and relaxing family getaway.
