We booked to stay a month from mid Feb. On the positive side 1) flat was decent 2) great level of sun coming through 3) close to Carvajal station. Kevin (not the main host) was brilliant - attentive and helpful when faced with minor issues. On the negative side 1) communication ahead of arrivals was slow vs other hosts 2) walking up to the flat can be a real challenge as it’s quite high up 3) not many big grocery stores that are walking distance 4) gym is available but not the saunas. On the terrible side, after check out, Sofia asked us to pay an additional fee to get all their outdoor sofa cushions cleaned, claiming it was our responsibility to bring them all inside during our stay. How can they expect us to move all 16 sofa cushions indoors every day when they were dusty to begin with? Also, why place cushions that are not weatherproof from the start, to then try and leave us with the cleaning fee? We thought it was uncalled for and hence the 2 stars.

Very spacious apartment with a beautiful view of the sea, properly equipped. Very close to shops, restaurants, the beach or the train station, from which you can get to both the center of Malaga and the airport. The only downside for some can be a fairly high approach, which you have to overcome to get to the apartment. Recommended Host 🙂

Our stay at Frank's place is overall pretty good. However, there was a lot of inconvenience. Let's start with the amenities of the apartment: the apartment is equipped but at a minimum, to cook for 5 or 6 people it remains complicated. No microwave, no toaster as normally indicated The garden furniture is really uncomfortable. You can't spend the evening in the garden furniture because it's way too uncomfortable. Then the pool: only 5 umbrellas and 10 deckchairs for everyone, so the pool is full as soon as you open at 10am. Spend this time more space until almost 6pm closes. A second pool is available but much smaller so very fast full too and it was mostly closed for 3 days. The work just behind the building: indeed throughout our stay we were awakened at 7: 30am typing by the work machines (continuous horn noise) and it lasts all morning. Then last point: on site, the Costa Rental company manages the apartment. This for us has generated poor organization for checkout. Indeed, we have one information on Airbnb and then another by email via Costa Rental so there are necessarily some misunderstandings that are created. In our case, the problem was quite poorly managed. Indeed, Nikki, whom I had on Airbnb, was absolutely not convenient and professional, but this was half made up by his colleague intervened on site. Finally, to end on a nice note, the apartment still remains ideally located, a lot can be done on foot, but don't be too afraid of stairs and slopes.

Nice new apartment with good location and 2 very nice pool areas. Also elaking distance to Carvajal train station, beach and restaurants. Areas of improvements: more glasses, plates etc. so you can invite friends for dinner. Toaster and a microwave would also be nice. Also the casual furnitures on the terrace was so poor we did not use them at all. Also we had some trouble with the air conditioning. We had a really good time
