We’ve stayed at Alcazaba Lagoon several times now since it opened, it’s brilliant for families with kids. We had a car which enabled us to visit Estepona and surrounding areas that we like. Without a car you would be pretty remote with no shops close by. The cleaners hadn’t been by the time we arrived to check in at 4pm (we arrived at 4.30pm). However they arrived about 5pm and we used the facilities whilst they cleaned the apartment. We were able to check out slightly later though due to the inconvenience. The apartment was perfectly situated close to the lagoon and two of the 3 pools on site, very spacious for our family of 4 and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay

great apartment, close to the lagoon. However, it is a bit lazy due to construction work of a new complex nearby. Unfortunately the pools were closed due to the drought , but the lagoon more than made up for this.

When we needed to get in touch with the host, he responded quickly. We got late check out which helped us immensely. Great place to stay for family with pets.

Very nice facilities and environment. A quiet area. Disappointment with cleaning. We found some old sportsmen among the duvets above were not folded. A muffin paper under the bed. The dirty utensils. A mop and bayeta that disgust wasted. A single roll of toilet paper, as well as a towel(for 8 days??)the unmade beds leave the countertop folded for you to make the bed on top of a smaller size than the bed. If it wasn't for the cleanliness, the apartment is very nice and in a fantastic place. We had a good time. I hope they treat it with the cleaners

The apartment is set in a peaceful, private development. There are beautiful gardens surrounding the properties. There is a great swimming pool and the the lagoon area is an added bonus - a perfect place to relax or be with children. Both are for residents. There boats available for free at the lagoon which is also fun. The apartment is a good size for 4 people and fairly well equipped. You definitely need a car as the beach and shops are about 15 minute drive although there is a bar and restaurant at the lagoon.

The place was good but given the price we paid, communication was not so clear. We couldn’t get into the place as we were stopped by security and it took a long time to contact the host. The guards were not informed beforehand and given that we did not speak Spanish, it was difficult to communicate with them. Otherwise the place was very clean and as advertised but there was no toilet paper, no communication regarding trash etc. The batteries on the parking device were faulty and so was the remote. So these things could be checked and improved in future visits.
