We got into this air BnB with belongings from a previous guest spread across the living room floor suggesting the flat hadn’t been cleaned at all. To add to the dissatisfaction we were woken up by the air BnB owner in our bedroom at 11am with police as the neighbours told us they’ve been having problems with squatters. Legitimately the worst experience I’ve had on air BnB ever

Sorry to say we were massively disappointed, the property was very dirty on arrival and was not cleaned, mould on walls, damp smell. Towels had marks on them, bed sheets were damp, I could go on… We complained to MyGetaways who only offered to send back cleaners but we were checking out the next day by 11am so was a pointless exercise. We paid a cleaning fee on our booking and the property should have been clean for us on arrival! I had to go around and clean up so we could stay for 2 nights over the weekend. Airbnb on the other hand were supported us well.

The apartment location is near to everything such as convenient shops, restaurants/takeaway and 15 to 20 minutes walk down the beach. They also have parking space which was really great as it saved us looking for park lit and cost. The location is very convenient for us. It had all the amenities it stated on their information section. However, the front door and hallway leading to the apartment’s main door was off putting. The inside of the apartment is looking a bit knackered, visible dirt stains on the sofa, some parts of the walls had dirt marks and chipped paint. Other than that, had a great stay.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on business with a colleague. Convenient, cheap, cheerful. Few minutes walk from station, and a short walk from city centre and waterfront where our conference was being held. Check in straightforward and all questions I had were answered quickly including some requests after checking out. There are two main rooms for sleeping, one at the back of the property, with the bunk beds and en suite and one at the front with the three single beds. Both are ground floor with shared entrance to property for upper floor apartments. Parking at front for one vehicle. I feel it important to note that the ground floor location on a busy main road is very noticeable in the front room. There is noise most of the day and night, so be conscious of this if you are a light sleeper or need absolute quiet to fall asleep. I was fine, but found it difficult the first night. Only one set of keys provided, so be aware of this if staying with those who have different schedules

We really want you to enjoy your stay with us and in order to make sure that you do and for the sake of other residents, we ask you to respect the house rules: No smoking inside the property, If you wish to smoke, please use the patio and clean up any debris that is caused by smoking. Any additional cleaning charges caused by smoking in the property will be deducted from your deposit. Noise - In consideration of our neighbours, noise MUST be kept to a minimum between 22:00 and 08:00. This includes no loud music or parties. We are not the anti-fun police but we want you to have a great trip and our neighbours to have a good night's sleep. No pets (unless agreed in advance) Please note check out is by 11am. We do ask that you respect the check-out time as it affects our ability to prepare theproperty for the next set of guests. You agree to be charged a late check-out fee of £50 per hour or part thereof if you are not vacated by this time unless agreed in advance. When you are ready to vacate the property please wash up, bag and bin your rubbish and take it with you for disposal. This property should only be booked by a lead guest who is over the age of 21, we do not accept bookings from groups of people under this age. If in doubt please contact us before booking. Failure to adhere to any of these house rules will result in deductions being made from your deposit to cover any additional costs for cleaning and damage caused. - Gather used towels
