Tidy accommodation located in a good position. Michelle, the host was fantastic and managed to accommodate us at the last minute after we were let down by another host. Excellent comms and a clear check in process at a late hour on a Saturday night we're really appreciated! It's a lovely place to stay. Finding parking nearby was a challenge but that is to be expected.

The place was good overall. However they said to have WIFI but it didn’t work. The people we called told us they can’t do much and we managed to connect it kept disconnecting and not working that we just had to pay more and use our own data, which was a bit difficult considering we were there for holidays. When asked for compensation they had said is not their fault the internet was working before we came, and nothing was done about it.

Great place to stay right in the heart of Brighton and easily accessible to get in to town. Lovely quiet apartment and really quiet in the evening! WOULD STAY AGAIN!

Very friendly hosts, flexible check in and the place was great. Really clean so it’s nice to know the cleaning fee went to good use, and overall a nice apartment in an amazing location. Comfortably fits 4 and we had a great stay.

As a whole; this place was a really good place to stay if you want convenience , central location . The communication from the host was very good and instructions were clear. A couple of maintenance things should be looked at, the mirror in the first bedroom was not properly stuck to the wall and was held on by some old tape which did not hold the mirror for long, also the sofa bed is very small, i wouldn’t say it would be suitable for Two people, perhaps a slightly bigger bed here would be good. However everything was great, it was clean, easy to find. We would stay again given that a couple of things were to be updated. Many thanks 🙏🏼

The apartment itself was nice and had a lovely view from the living area. Unfortunately there’s a few bad points about our experience. Firstly, the day before check-in I received a text message asking for a ‘damages deposit’. But you only get a 3 hour window to do it which could have been an issue because there were moments during the day I didn’t have my phone. We were disappointed to see the check- out instructions requested all plates, cups etc were to be cleaned and rubbish was to be taken outside the property to some bins, even though we had already paid what I thought was an expensive £70 cleaning fee. The main door of the building that leads on to the high street isn’t very secure, it definitely needs repairing. There was also an ironing board but no iron? All of the windows are fiddly to open (could be due to internal locks are worn/old).

The host was easy to communicate with. The listing was accurate but one of the sofa beds was very thin and uncomfortable. The stairs up to the apartment should perhaps also be mentioned as they were quite steep.

Great host great place. It’s near the ocean and you can see a bit of it too. The view is really good with 2 really big windows. The bathroom is very clean. Tons of kitchenware to use in the kitchen. Very responsive host. Flexible and helpful check in arrangement. Next time when I come to Brighton in the summer I’ll definitely come back!

Great stay and host. Very good Comms and as described. The apartment is in a great location and very easy to access. It can get warm in the summer, but that’s to be expected during a heatwave! A fan is provided.

Fantastic place and location, the decor was really cool, the beds were comfortable, the view was amazing and the communication from the host was perfect. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be staying with My Getaways when In Brighton next time.

Felt right at home, that’s how easy the check-in was with the help of the My Getaways app. Location is super central with plenty of coffee shops and restaurants at your doorstep. Overall safe and great value.

We did not have hot water for the majority of our stay. Although the issue was addressed quickly, it was only a temporary fix as later on that evening we once again had no hot water. For the money we paid we don’t think this is acceptable at all and we should be offered a deduction of the overall cost.

The positives: I was able to book this apartment at short notice, check-in was relatively straight-forward, and getting in contact with the owner was easy. The apartment was also exactly as it looked in the photos - reasonably spacious, airy, clean, and nicely decorated. The negatives: Before booking, I explicitly got in touch with the owner to confirm that the bedroom could be made up as a double, as I was visiting with my young child and 8-months pregnant wife, and we had had to leave the hotel we were originally booked in due to cleanliness issues. Stephanie agreed to this, yet when we arrived there were two single beds as shown in the photos. When I contacted Stephanie to report this, she informed me that they would need 7 days notice to be able to accommodate this. Why was I not told this just a few hours prior, BEFORE confirming my booking? This seems a very dishonest way to do business. Secondly, the water in the shower only had two temperatures - slightly warm and freezing cold. On both mornings, we got 5 minutes of the former before the latter kicked in. I called Stephanie on the first morning to report this, and was assured a maintenance team would be visiting to fix the issue. We were out all day, so have no idea whether or not they did actually visit, but the next morning we encountered exactly the same problem again. When I contacted Stephanie to complain, she insisted the issue had been fixed, and wasn't sure why the hot water still wasn't working. This could have been a very pleasant stay if not for both of these issues. I can accept things going wrong or not being perfect, especially in the current climate we're in, but what I can't accept is being given information that the bearer knows not to be correct.
