The apartment was good in itself. But in and around the apartment was no cell reach. The built-in Wi-Fi in the apartment did not work and so we were not available. The TV didn't work either. Furthermore, the frames were dirty and moldy and the toilet seat was broken. The beds were small and the you were pricked by the springs. Just before entering the apartment we suddenly got a message that we had to make 30 euros deposit... very crazy

Great little pad. I booked this place as I was going to be recovering from surgery and needed somewhere in the area to stay for the week. My partner and dog came, too. Great location, everything you need.

Worst experience with this apartment. Completely uninhabitable with mould on soft furnishings and in the fridge. Kitchen was poorly cleaned. Bedding and towels didn’t smell clean because the apartment was so damp which wasn’t helped by barely being able to open the windows to get some air in. Stripped the bedding to discover huge stains on the mattresses. Immediately left without even bringing our bags in. On top of that, the host has rudely refused to return our accidental damage cover fee even though we didn’t stay there.

Another great property from mygetaways team. Please note the additional fees which are not listed within the price but are in their notes (my partner missed this and we paid an extra £30 for non-refundable deposit and £95 for the dog) - you pay this through a link they send you outside of air bnb. Then the check in details are sent to you, which are clear and concise. Thank you.

The place looks exactly like the photos and the location is nice but the host is extremely difficult to work with. A few things to consider before booking: 1. The host expects you to make a deposit payment outside the platform, which I wasn’t comfortable doing. Airbnb ended up having to mediate as the host was refusing to request the deposit thru the Airbnb platform. 2. The address is misleading and the flat is hard to find. 3. There are no toiletries provided, so don’t forget to pack body wash and other essentials.

This is a lovely little flat, just as described. Hosts are very responsive to emails - I made them aware of the slow draining sinks and I received a reassuring reply almost straight away. We stayed in Aug so it was warm and it would have been nice to have been able to open the window wider. It only opens about an inch due to the way the blind has been installed. Deposit was returned in full after two days. Thanks for a great stay! We are frequent visitors so we may come again next time.

Booked through Air BnB, but you will then need to download the 'My Getaways' app. There is a mandatory £300 deposit taken by pre-authorisation, or a £30 fee to 'waive' this. As long you aren't planning on doing anything silly, just take the pre-auth as this is released just after staying (albeit not ideal, and fairly certain it wasn't mentioned on the listing on Air BnB). NOTE: Location is by Edward Street and not the St James's side as it was marked on the map, about 120 yards away. Very basic accommodation to be honest. Had most of the essentials such as plates, cutlery, etc. but lacked light, windows wouldn't really open, shower door doesn't shut, limited toilet roll, no shower gels or other. Location was good and it was fairly quiet at night.

Location of the house is great. The flat was not clean. I think it should be control after cleaning, the sink was clogged, all equipment should be control to sure all is working. Finally it’s okay to short stay. Thanks

Holcombe House was a great flat - walking distance from so many restaurants, food shops, Brighton Pavillion, the pier, North Lane and more. It was on a quiet residential street that led to peaceful evenings. A great location to see a fun and vibrant part of Brighton!

Brilliant location for Kemptown with it's many cafes and restaurants and quirky shops. Just a few mins walk to the beach and about 10 mins to the North Laines. Property itself was beautifully presented, clean and highly functional, with full kitchen, great shower, even a washing machine. Perfect for one or two for a few days or longer.

The location was great for being close to restaurants, the Pavilion, university. The apartment was great inside but the ground floor was quite noisy with other guests coming and going at all hours, and late night food deliveries. We even had some one randomly knocking at the window and ringing the bell late at night. Might be better suited for someone who’s keeping similar late hours or planning on spending evenings out. The place was acceptably clean and recently finished with new modern fixtures. Some small issues like a dripping kitchen faucet could use some attention.

Perfect little studio for a weekend away! The flat was clean and well equipped in a central location very close to the beach. As it is so central and on the ground floor, there was some noise from neighbours and people on the street at night. Overall though it’s definitely worth staying here!

Good value for money and exactly like the photos. Lots of shops at the end of the road and near supermarkets. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach which was great. However, the room was hot all the time, and the windows are very thin so a lot of noise can be heard from outside. The tv didn’t work. There was only one toilet roll and for 4 days didn’t last us, the dishes and cutlery were dirty from the people before us and the sheets were stained. Be prepared for the pillows to be basically nothing. It was easy to check in and out and great communication however check out is 11am which was kind of annoying as we didn’t have a train home until 6pm and could have done with a later check out time so we didn’t have to rush!

Location is good from a noise perspective and has good access to buses. The Kemptown area is more of a place that people live so you get to escape the bustle, noise, and tourist-trap-ness of the city centre while being a short walk or a regular & cheap bus away from it. Notably the Pier and Aquarium are very close but you can walk down quiet residential streets to get to them. The kitchen is fully kitted out with decent crockery and utensils and there are multiple choices for supermarkets and grocers nearby so ideal if you want to self-cater. Equally though, St James's street is flush with take-aways and restaurants. The apartment itself is clearly relatively-recent decorated and/or has been very well looked after. It isn't so pristine it would make you uncomfortable though and thankfully nothing breakable or delicate to worry about. Beds were comfortable - on the softer side. Two differently deep pillows are provided for each bed so you can find one/a combo that works for you. I configured the blue lights on the router to turn off overnight (you're welcome ;) ) but I had to put a bag over the intercom thing lest I have Blue icons glowing at me all night from the wall opposite the bed. Bathroom is good. Shower cubicle is spacious. Toilet is strangely high. Shower temperature range is good, pressure is adequate. Would totally consider staying in the apartment again or others managed by MyGetaways. We came for a gig (Howling Bells at Patterns) but enjoyed the Aquarium as well and I even managed to do a bit of leisure cycling thanks to the BTN BikeShare scheme (very affordable - worth using). This was our first time being in Brighton for more than a day and we'd like to return as there's so much more to see and do.

The apartment had everything you needed however it was on a very dingy street and the bathroom drains etc were poor. Water lay in sink and shower for a good 20 minutes or so after using. The single beds were very uncomfortable and almost like children’s beds. Would have been ok if maybe staying just the one night but after 3 nights I am desperate to get home to bed. The room was VERY warm and could have benefited from an air conditioning unit rather than a tiny fan. On the plus side it was only a 10 minutes walk to the beach.

Had a lovely stay, great location, super comfy beds and everything you need for a few days away was there. If staying over a weekend I would advise bringing ear plugs, as it was very noisy due to people coming in and out of the block throughout the night. Would definitely stay again!

The apartment is in a great location, only 5-10 mins walk from the pier and the lanes. It matched the description and was well-presented, would love to stay there again! There’s no free parking so if you’re driving expect to park 10-20 mins away and pay separately.

Really great, quick turnaround comms from the My team, for our very short notice booking. The studio is well equipped and clean. The location is within walking distance of everywhere you'd want to go and while the studio is on the ground floor, it was quieter than we were expecting on first sight. The street isn't the prettiest and some might feel it intimidating at night, but we encountered no problems at all.

Well situated and well equipped for a couple of nights in Brighton. We had a problem with the third (fold-way) bed on our first night but owners sorted it out as soon as we mentioned it the next morning, so no complaints!

Good location, well furnished. There's little to justify the £200/daily price tag, especially as it didn't even have some extras like soap powder for the washing machine, or some tea, or salt/sugar. The 3rd bed is just an unfolded futon, which is extremely uncomfortable. Can be pretty noisy as it's on the ground floor, but there's no fan or AC, and it's way too hot inside to keep the windows shut (we were at low 20s temperature). None of these alone are dealbreakers, but considering the price, I expected more.

Great location and the place was sparkling clean and easy to find. Couple of downsides were there is no ventilation in the room so can get very hot and stuffy. Also there was 3 of us so one had to use the put you up which wasmt comfy at all.

Genuinely the best location in Brighton, less than 20 mins walk from the majority of the business of Brighton. Easy self check-in. We found the the apartment did get warm due to time of visiting but the apartment had a fan that we used that really helped! Honestly loved the decor and this its perfect for the area it is in. Make sure you sort parking if you are driving, we learnt this from our previous time in the City. We had a issue with the radiator and they were quick to respond! I really recommend them!

3/5, great location however avoid if you’re driving here as both car parks near the property are closed down even though the ad still advertises it. Parking on the road is MAX stay 2 hours. Mediocre with cleanliness and cannot get sleep as mattress had a big dent in it and loud bangs from flat entrance which is right next to the room which slams every time someone else comes in or goes out. Won’t be coming back here. Plus points is the location and facilities provided.

It's a nice all in one room, with the whole kitchen stuff and a smoke ventilator. TV and wifi goes well, and he electric heater is warm enough. By the way, perhaps for safety reasons on the ground floor, the windows could not be opened.

We contacted the host immediately and they responded really quickly to our questions. Overall we loved our stay and would reccomened.

Thank you for having us. The decor is perfect, the available space is just right. Not the location I thought it was although it is only a 10 minute walk to The Palace Pier. But unfortunately there was no meet and greet from the host. I tried to call a number of times, even left a voicemail. No return call. The floors were grubby, a little bit of dust on the sides. The tv is useless. And I’m pretty sure the smoke alarm shouldn’t be covered in plastic? Can I suggest you have a few board games in there and maybe a few up to date magazines and newspapers.
