Overall a clean and tidy property. Some lovely Furniture- the main bedroom bed was gorgeous. It felt pretty spacious for the most part and location whilst quite some way from Brighton beach was quiet and relaxed. Some areas of the home need a little TLC and it could use some more homely touches. Bathroom window doesn’t open so it condensates quite heavily. The garden windows and door could have used curtains for privacy if necessary. We were out for a majority of the time so none of these things were a huge issue and I would l probably still recommend people stay there. Only other downside for us was that even when talking at a reasonable volume the upstairs neighbour came to knock and was pretty aggressive in his approach. We’d never purposely make too much noise but he also just doesn’t seem to be happy with the fact that the place is used as a short term rental. We were visiting for pride weekend and although we did drink we weren’t obnoxious and only had one before heading out.

Very good, spacious house. I just didn't like the 2nd day, we were in the living room with the TV on, talking normally, and someone went to the hallway window and knocked very hard and left. I think he was bothered by noise, but we weren't making noise. Just talking. It wasn't 10:00 pm yet. I got scared. I felt coerced. Can't I talk and leave the TV on at night? But outside this was all right. Very good and clean house.

Really nice apartment and perfect for what we wanted. Lovely outdoor space for summer and lots of room inside.

although the description was fairly accurate, the place is unloved, the floorboards were noisy, 1 bedroom door didn't latch closed and the decking out the back was dangerously uneven and slippery due to age, no double glazing to help with road noises and unfortunately a car alarm was going off all night. we found a slig in the bathroom and a woodlouse in the back bedroom, both a sign of damp. couldn't find a fire extinguisher or instructions of fire safety etc. admittedly, we didn't convey this during our stay as we didn't seem it necessary but needs looking into

Lovely stay. Location was fantastic and easily walkable, including a bike rental dock just 4 minutes away. Close to a street with many food and cafe options, as well as a Sainsburys and post office. Easy 10 min drive/15 minute bike into Brighton. House had basic amenities (soap, toilet room, dish cloths, cutlery, dishware, etc) readily available in the kitchen and bathroom. Check in instructions were accurate and easy. Communication was always timely. Very few downsides but it wasn’t clear from listing that this is the downstairs apartment of a 2 floor townhome. Not an issue as there was still privacy but would’ve been nice to know ahead of time as it was very easy to hear every movement from upstairs.

The flat itself is lovely. The booking process wasn't very easy though and be warned, you will need to pay a refundable deposit (ours was £300) before you are able to access the flat and the contract says there is noise monitoring equipment installed and you will have to pay a fine if noise levels are breached (but doesn't tell you what these levels are).

The My Getaways hosts were always easy to contact and very responsive to me in helping me to deal with problems with the gas boiler heating system, so that we were able to maintain a reasonable level of heating in the flat. The rest of the facilities of the flat met the standard for a comfortable stay in a very convenient and peaceful location. I would recommend My Getaways as attentive hosts.

Getaway's provided an excellent service and were always there to support. The house is so peaceful, a getaway from all the busy Brighton and Hove streets to return to this calm spot.

The place was missing a few essentials: - Bathroom window not openable and lack of a ventilation or suction system; - Outdoor space at the back of the house degraded and dirty with a marcescent wood area that had holes and breaks even dangerous for children; - Poor and incomplete dishes
