The space

Nestled along the quiet roads of Simon’s Town, this charming coastal home, offers an idyllic escape for those seeking a mature, calming, laid-back atmosphere. With sweeping views of False Bay from multiple vantage points, including a private balcony, upper deck, and even your bed, this home is perfect for unwinding while immersed in nature.

The property boasts two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms (not ensuite), making it ideal for couples or families looking for a quiet escape. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area invites natural light and an airy ambiance, creating a welcoming space for relaxed mornings or cozy evenings. Just off the kitchen, a sheltered back “stoep” offers the perfect spot for a braai, with seating that shields from the ocean breeze.

Outdoors, the indigenous garden and upper deck create a haven for relaxation, whether it’s yoga at sunrise, a leisurely walk through the flora, or an afternoon with a glass of wine while taking in the activity on the bay.

Conveniently located just a 10-minute stroll from Longbeach, guests can enjoy a refreshing morning swim followed by coffee and a light bite from local cafes, adding the perfect touch to each day spent in this coastal gem.

There are baboons that visit the area and thus windows and doors cannot be left open when unattended in the rooms. There is a great baboon monitoring team.

Please note the following:
the area is a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by nature and as such we have to request that you please respect the neighbours. No loud music and shouting after 10pm on weekends and 8pm in the week would be greatly appreciated.

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole property except the garage which is used for the owners personal belongings as well as a Wendy house at the top / back of the property that is used by the owner and her friend. They share a side entrance only. Every other part of the house is yours to use.

Other things to note

- off Street parking in a driveway (open) but there is a 24/7 monitored security system and active neighbourhood watch.

- There are baboons in the area and some of the windows are covered with baboon proof bars. Please note that you need to keep the doors and windows closed when you are not in the house or near vicinity. Baboons are sneaky and they will get in.

- Please note that there is a small "Wendy house" located at the top back of the property and barely visible unless you wonder through the gardens. This Wendy is used by the owner and a friend from time to time. They will use the main entrance gate but then proceed up the side of the house and to the back of the property into the Wendy. they are very discreet.

- there is a gardener that comes through twice a month to take care of the indigenous garden. We will let you know when he is coming in

- there is a lady that comes in weekly to fill the bird baths for our beautiful birds that frequent the property. We will let you know when she is coming in.

- a weekly clean and linen change is included for stays of over 7 nights

- Enough electricity is provided for stays of up to 14 days, after which you will be required to please top up. Instructions will be left for you.
