With high ceilings and classical tall windows, you can really get a sense of the grandeur and history of Chamonix in this building, which was originally a small hotel, welcoming guests for many years. A slice of history awaits. This is a rare find and available to you throughout the year - experience the different seasons in comfort and style.
INSIDE : Enjoy spending time in the elegant interiors of this renovated apartment with its: compact but fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, full sized oven and microwave); bathroom with full sized bath and shower overhead, equipped with a washing machine/tumble dryer; separate Wc; bedroom with double bed, plenty of storage and a small desk to work at; and In the lounge, a sofa opens out to a 160mm wide bed with a real mattress inside.
OUTSIDE : Located at the foot of Mont Blanc, tall, ancient trees and a green space gives an abundant feel to the outside space. A couple of minutes away is the popular and lively ChamSud pedestrian area, with practical shops during the day and busy nightlife later on.
GREAT Location : You couldn’t be anymore central, with easy access to everything Chamonix has to offer - great for taking advantage of some of the local bars and après ski. Just a stone’s throw away are plenty of local shops including ski hire, supermarkets, bakers, restaurants & clubs. If you’re planning a ski day, then it’s an easy walk to the bus stops.
GETTING Around : The main bus stops are a minute away from the residence with services up and down the valley, and the Aiguille du Midi train station is a few minutes away providing trains from Saint Gervais le Fayet to Vallorcine and Switzerland. Chamonix Holidays will provide your group with tourist cards/Carte d’hotes which give you free use of the trains in the valley, plus discounts at the pool and entry to museums. A night bus also runs from Argentiere to Les Houches and costs 4€ per person.
USEFUL Bits : A small lift takes you up to the 2nd floor and then there is a small flight of stairs to reach the apartment. Fibre WiFi is provided by Orange. The kitchen is fully equipped and should have everything that you need for your stay, including a filter coffee machine. You have a washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom. You can store skis in your private ski locker opposite the entrance to the apartment, ready for the following morning.
YOUR Arrival : Arrive any time after 16h and with our self-check-in process, you do not need to worry about being a little earlier or later than planned. You will need to collect keys from the key box outside the ChamServe office, which is just a few minutes’ walk from the residence.
PARKING : You will be the envy of many with access to private external parking in front and behind the building or internal, underground parking just outside the building. A huge plus in Chamonix. You will receive details of where to park with your arrival details.

Good things: - Lovely apartment in a great location close to bus station, supermarket, restaurants/bars, shops etc. - Very comfortable bed and lots of storage space. - Having the ski locker right outside the door of the apartment is super convenient. - Really quiet, especially for Chamonix Sud which can be quite rowdy at times. On the downside: - Kitchen arrangement is a bit inconvenient with most useful things on the opposite side of the island to the kitchen workspace, but it's easy enough to move things around once you're there. - It would be good to have tables/shelves beside the bed and a coffee table or similar by the sofa to put drinks, phones, books etc. on The only other comment I'd make is that if you're very short (as I am!) some things are rather high up to use comfortably/reach! - the kitchen and the bathroom basin in particular.
