This would suit a family or group of professionals visiting with friends and family members, looking for a longer-term rental for the winter season in the Chamonix Valley. It is ideal as a Winter retreat that can be used for Christmas and New Year and Half term and anywhere in between.
This beautifully appointed chalet is set up as two fully independent adjoining apartments and is available to rent together for the whole winter season. The minimum rental period is for 45 days, but can be rented any amount of time above that between the 1st of December 2025 and the 12th April 2026. All prices can be seen when putting your date options in and it is bookable there and then! The longer you stay - the cheaper it gets.
The Building:
Le Mont Farm is an old farm building with foundations dating back to the 1700’s, up on the hills overlooking Servoz. It has been painstakingly restored by its owners, retaining many original features such as stone walls and solid wooden doors. The years of work has resulted in a beautiful, warm and sophisticated, personal style and yet it is somewhat playful in its design. You will find modern and classic furniture with a mixture of subdued colours, old and new wood and stone walls.
Inside The Building:
The building is divided into two separate apartments, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
The ground floor apartment sleeps 4 people.
It is 60sqm and offers a good size open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. The lounge has a large comfortable L-shaped sofa and a door that opens up onto a private deck and garden area at the front of the house, looking out to the Mont-Blanc mountain range. There is a modern shower room which also houses a washing machine. There are 2 bedrooms, a double bedroom and a single bedroom (the single bedroom has a pull out mattress which can be pulled out to extend the single bed to make a double bed).
The first floor apartment is 105sqm and sleeps 4 to 6 people.
Turning up the modern staircase, you arrive to a stunning wooden and glass chalet style apartment. There is a great size modern, kitchen with everything you could ever need to create wonderful dishes (the owners love cooking themselves and I don't think they have missed anything). Along with all the cooking equipment, you have a large 5 gas ring, falcon stove and oven, large fridge freezer and separate wine fridge. (There is a separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer.) You have a large central island in the kitchen, as well as a breakfast bar with picture window looking out to the mountains, and a dining table that seats 8 people. This open plan space has large glass windows and doors opening up onto the balcony and offering the most tremendous views of the mountains - you really do feel on top of the world. The space is kept cosy by a central wood burner.
There are 2 large double bedrooms and 2 shower rooms (one en-suite). If you want to sleep a couple more, there is space to sleep 2 extra people on a mezzanine level. Access to this space is up a ladder and it has quite open edges so it is not suitable for younger children, and with the lower ceiling height we would recommend it is only used for visitors and not long term sleepers.
Off the central landing is access to a back garden with trees and grass behind. There are a small number of neighbouring houses but the area is very quiet and rural.
Along with the wood burner, heating is provided by an energy efficient granule boiler with an underfloor hydraulic system.
Fibre Wifi is provided and one of the double bedrooms on the first floor has a desk and printer available.
Parking for 2 cars are provided (1 covered).
Outside The Building:
Le Mont Farm is located in the pretty hamlet of Le Mont, south facing, overlooking the village of Servoz and Mont-Blanc.
Servoz is the first village you approach as you leave the autoroute Blanch for the Chamonix Valley. It is just 20 minutes’ drive from the centre of Chamonix.
It is perfectly situated for skiing both in Les Houches and Chamonix as well as Saint Gervais, Megeve, and les Contamines
There is a small supermarket and butchers plus patisserie in Servoz village.
There is also a bistro/petite restauration "La Table du Lieutenant" open most of the year 2 minutes’ walk from the farmhouse.
A bus service offers travel from Servoz into Chamonix a few times a day and also the local train from down on the valley floor travels between Saint Gervais/Le Fayet and Vallorcine into Switzerland.
