A beautiful, clean, well equipped apartment. Very light and in a great position to access shops, restaurants and ferry terminals. There was a slight delay in getting the keys but fortunately there was an undercover seated area at the front of the property where we were able to wait. Our parking space was always available. We all enjoyed our stay.

An attractive and well presented apartment close to the harbour,. I found communication with the properties’ management company to be good . However, the WiFi connection in the property was poor making T. V and internet use difficult.

Lovely apartment, surprisingly light for a basement flat! Well equipped kitchen and the whole place was lovely and clean. Easy walk down to Torquay harbour and a lovely beach called Beacon Cove just down the road. Towns like Brixham, Paignton, Dartmouth and Kingswear are all within a 30 min drive and all worth a visit. Thank you for a great stay!

The house was well decorated with a selective and unique theme. They provided all the stuff for our kids needed at any home. The suite room was very nicely designed which gives a fresh look in whitish and greenish colour theme. Private parking was bit tight for a 4 by 4 car. Some neighbours were friendly and cooperative and some were not when you try to access the property from the back door. Everything about the property was well described and was available on the coffee table in the sitting room in the form of document. You can also read the comments from previous people who lived before from the comments book given in the sitting room. Property was well secured with multiple layers of the looks. Front view is the main thing about this property when you are standing on the road, you can see the entire coastline. We’ll definitely recommend to our friends and would like to visit again.

This was by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in. You have absolutely everything you need once inside even down to a garlic press. The flat itself is modern and well-kitted out. You need to be aware of the 2 flights of steps to the car park in case you have mobility issues, but overall all this place was amazing. Only a few minutes walk to the restaurants and the harbour front.

Unquestionably the nicest place we stayed in our nearly 4 weeks in the UK. Roomy with comfortable furniture and two very generously sized bathrooms. Wish we could have stayed longer! The only problem we had was in locating the right flat when we arrived. There are 2 different "Sovereign House" flats with a number of 1 and the direction implied that the one we should access was the first one encountered on the street. I had to call for after-hours support (and thank heavens they were there!) and the instructions the operator read to me were completely different than the ones I received. But that turned out to be a minor hiccup. Great place and, while hardly inexpensive, absolutely worth the price.

Great apartment on one level although entrance steps may not be suitable for elderly guests. Excellent location that was the main reason for our choice having stayed in a different Sovereign House apartment before. I would rate it a 5 Star, it was a fantastic stay in an excellent well presented and well equipped apartment, we would definitely stay here again on future visits to the area and would recommend it very highly.

Loved this flat - very light and airy even as a basement flat. Really well equipped kitchen. Clean and well laid out, excellent use of the space. Very comfortable all round. Great location near the seafront and loads of excellent restaurants in short walking distance.

I’ m very happy with the property. It was so clean and beautiful. Lot of space and comfortable beds and sofas. We had all the instruction beforehand to find it and it was easy to check in, thanks to the pictures on the instructions email. The property is situated in the basement and there are steep steps to access it but a lift is available from the front entrance, if it’s to steep for you Thank you as well for the biscuits and all the leaflets to help us with what to do around Torquay, it was a nice touch❤️ I will definitely recommend to anyone and will book myself in again if we go back to Torquay☺️

The place itself is very nice and well maintained if you are aware that you live in the basement without a view. Spacious, clean, everything has been thought of, really nice the place. Now to fresh escape: that is unfortunately not possible! There are messages with a link to the actual message and in which again a link to the check in info, which can't be opened, and the message doesn't come until 24 hours before arrival. So answered right away, help, no check in details (so where to find the key, etc.) , no response, again urged 12 hours before, no answer again, so drove to the accommodation in the hope, we can also get this done (the code for the key box we had, just no info, where we can find it), this turns out to be a labyrinth and almost as an escape game. So emergency number of fresh escape called: but they have no idea . Thank goodness they finally made us the actual landlady

The flat is excellent and well furnished. Surprisingly bright for a basement flat because of the light wells. Also bigger than it looks from the photos. Check in via the Fresh escapes website was not simple… the timing of this was not clear so the website didn’t work as expected. The usual threats from the management company- this is becoming common for managed properties these days. But a great flat- very comfortable.

Very nicely appointed basement apartment. This was our 3rd time on holiday in Torquay so we knew exactly where we were, surrounding restaurants, bars etc. We didn't need to use the lift in the building but anyone with mobility issues would struggle with the steps front and rear. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Wonderful stay in a great location! Harbour close enough to walk too and not too hilly!! Apartment was a great size and made for a wonderful stay, hot water didn’t last long in the morning with 4 showering but nothing to complain about.

Very lovely week in Devon the place was good but had mouldy vegetables in the cupboard and it was a basement apartment which is something they don’t say when booking it but would definitely stay in an Airbnb again as it was my first time so thank you for a lovely week
