Set in a private garden surrounded by rolling hills, it blends rustic charm with contemporary comforts for couples, families or friends.
The space
This lovingly converted barn is a sanctuary of low timber beams, exposed stonework, artisan furniture and warm, nature-inspired interiors. Each space is crafted to soothe—think sheepskin rugs, curated earth-tone décor and soft lighting that invites slow mornings and cosy evenings.In winter, curl up by the open fire with a glass of red as the Rayburn warms the heart of the home. In summer, throw open the doors, wander through the private garden and gather seasonal fruit—apples, berries and gooseberries—straight from the trees and bushes.
A Kitchen for Slow Living & Good Food
The classic Rayburn keeps the kitchen warm and welcoming through cooler months, while a separate hob and oven ensure a modern cooking experience. With views of the garden and countryside beyond, it’s an idyllic place to prepare breakfast, cook long lunches or share relaxed family meals.
The barn also benefits from a reverse-osmosis water system, providing exceptionally pure drinking water throughout your stay.

Head upstairs to discover two beautifully styled bedrooms:
- Master Bedroom
A romantic retreat featuring a custom-made cast-iron king-size bed (with its own steps!), vaulted ceiling, original beams and peaceful countryside views. Drift into a deep sleep surrounded by history and gentle rural quiet.
- Second Bedroom
A spacious and flexible room with zip-and-link beds, allowing setup as a super-king or two singles. This bedroom includes its own private en-suite shower room, ideal for families or friends travelling together.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We felt like we were in the middle of the peaceful countryside but we were just minutes away from the lovely town of Totnes, fabulous cafes and restaurants, lovely riverside walks and a large Morrisons. The house was stunning and the kitchen is very well equipped. The bedrooms are very big and the furniture is excellent quality. Super comfy beds and nice fluffy towels!! We were 4 adults and took all 4 of our dogs and a toddler and there was plenty of room for all of us and a surprisingly large garden too. Lots to do and see in the local area, nice walks and countryside. We enjoyed staying in and playing the board games that were provided too, the house is very cosy and warm in the evenings. We loved it!! Thankyou!

A very spacious barn conversion with two spacious bedrooms which was exactly what we were looking for space wise. . Our only comments would be that the overall feeling was that it was tired and in need of a refresh. We struggled to find two plates that were not chipped, the springs in two of the sofas seemed unsupportive so one sunk almost the floor and the many pots outside that should have provided a colourful and green welcome to the entrance were all full of dead plants. Also the noise from the hot/cold water pipe work in the second bedroom was unpleasantly noisy whenever a tap was turned on in the barn. This is meant more as helpful feedback rather than criticism. We enjoyed our stay.

Noise & Neighbour Consideration Please respect our neighbours and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially between 1030 PM – 8 AM No loud music inside, parties, or disruptive behaviour. No music to be played outside. 3. Smoking, Pets & Candles No smoking or vaping inside the property. A designated smoking area is available [if applicable]. For properties that accept pets, please clean up after them and keep them off furniture. No open flames, including candles or incense. 4. Cleanliness & Waste Disposal Please keep the property tidy and leave it as you found it. Dispose of waste in the designated bins. Recycling instructions can be found [location]. Report any spills or damages immediately to help us address them quickly. 5. Kitchen Use Feel free to use the kitchen, but please clean up after yourself. Ensure all appliances are turned off after use. Do not leave food out to avoid attracting pests. Clean all dishes and pots before putting in dishwasher 6. Damage & Breakages Accidents happen! Please inform us of any damages or breakages so we can address them. Guests may be responsible for the cost of significant damages beyond normal wear and tear. 7. Security Always lock doors and windows when leaving the property. Do not share entry codes or keys with anyone outside your group. 8. Amenities & Utilities Use water and electricity responsibly. Do not tamper with heating, air conditioning, or electrical equipment.
