We had a gorgeous time at this Airbnb, but I do feel slightly let down by the hot tub and the view. If you had tunnel vision the harbour view was as described but we didn’t and the mess to the left of the property was a lot. The hot tub as clearly stated wasn’t full and we had to fill it ourselves. By the time we checked in at 4 and started to fill the hot tub it was only warm the next day. Took 10/12 hours to heat meaning we didn’t use it the first day and night which I felt let this property down. Would be great if it could be filled prior to your visit so that you could make the most out of that facility. Great location though and the host was exceptional with his communication.

A lovely, well furnished, modern apartment that had everything we needed. The apartment is excellently located in the town centre, only a few metres from restaurants, bars and the marina. However, and as other reviewers have noted, this does mean that the apartment is affected by noise. We were visiting Saturday to Wednesday so we weren't too badly affected as it was really only Saturday that the noise levels were excessive. WIFI was also intermittent which was annoying (including being down for an entire evening) but when speaking to the management we were informed that this was a local issue affecting Vodaphone. Despite these issues we had a great time, and for the price was excellent value.

We were met by a very helpful lady on arrival who let us in 30 mins early. The apartment and furniture / bedding was stunning and spotless. Had everything we needed except no oven gloves or scissors. Beds were very comfortable and lots of storage. Not many hangers though. We only got to use the hot tub for 5 of the 7 days as our hot tub wasn't working, but the owner kindly let us use the hot tub for another apartment whilst there were no guests staying. Ours got fixed on the last day of our stay. The owners didn't respond Straight away but someone always responded within a few hours and they were very apologetic about the hot tub not working, and did try to rectify the problem. Some lovely restaurants and bars on either side of the apartment, but we didn't get disturbed by any noise. Parking is expensive, but the lady who greeted us told us about some free parking 10 mins walk away. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay again. Thankyou.

Excellent host with great communication throughout our stay. The place was just as described - super modern and clean - and a stones throw from all the local amenities which was just what we wanted. Given the proximity to restaurants and bars, the apartment was surprisingly quiet - only on the Friday night did we hear some noise in the evening, but not enough to keep us awake.

This was such a lovely property, really clean and comfortable, the host was amazing and checked if we intended to use the hot tub and filled it for us. The layout of the property was great, not sharing a bathroom was nice. The location is second to none!

Great apartment on the harbour. Perfect location to get around, very clean and comfortable. Easy check in and instructions to fill hot tub and to get in. The noise wasn’t too bad in the evenings considering how close it is to the bars and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay and will look to book again!

Had an absolutely amazing weekend with the girls in Torquay! Apartment was absolutely stunning.. it had everything we wanted and needed.. the hot tub was beautiful over looking the harbour side! Location was right in the middle of everything we wanted.. beautiful restaurants very very close to it! We will 100% be staying here again! Thankyou so much Simon! Amazing hosting!

Great apartment and location. Apartment is very modern. Hot tub takes 12 hours to warm up which is really annoying, missing a whole nights soak. The cleaning charge is too high for the sizing of the place, only issue would be the cob webs/dust on the inside of the kitchen window. Otherwise Loved our stay

LONG BUT HONEST REVIEW We paid £850 for three nights in this flat so we were expecting a certain level of professionalism and luxury as it were. When we arrived we had to fill up the hot tub ourselves (this is stated in the booking but feel like it would make more sense for the cleaners to do it during their earlier clean, as this meant to hot tub wasn’t utilisable on day one.) In the flat, there were only two toilet rolls and a kitchen towel; no soap, no bin bags. For the money we paid we were expecting a little more.. The flat itself is in a great location, but through no fault of its own, it’s in a very noisy location; weekends in torquay are quite rowdy until early hours and bottles are being thrown into bins in the early hours so we didn’t have the best sleep. Upon the day of check out, the cleaners arrived at 730, announcing their presence by exclaiming “wakey wakey” and swinging the metal gate open hard enough for it to make a loud bang. The cleaners then proceeded to turn up the radio volume on the downstairs flat to a level that disturbed us greatly. At 745, a male cleaning attendant started emptying our hot tub (we should have had access to it until 10am) and looked through our windows twice to then shout “yeah there are girls still in there”. We felt like this was a massive invasion of privacy and quite intimidating, especially after contacting the host to tell him we would be there until 10am (late check out request denied understandably due to another booking.) When we questioned the owner on why the cleaners were so early, we were responded to in a patronising and hostile manner, implying we were lying as we hadn’t taken photos of a stranger emptying our tub and looking through our windows.. it is a shame that the holiday had ended in this way as the flat is well presented and incredibly modern and in a great location but we do not feel that the price we paid was justified, having two days without hot tub access and no “little extras” like body soap, milk etc included as we would normally do in luxury, expensive airbnbs. Not a particularly intimate and involved host but run more as a direct business.

A great hidden Gem of an apartment, realistically you’d never find it if it wasn’t for Air BnB. The location within the harbour is beautiful. The apartment itself is Clean and tidy. Modern and comfortable. And the interior was really impressive. The furnishings as pictured and really fit with the design. Nice little touches like sliding doors and sensor lights were a nice touch. Plenty of space for a family or two couples as there’s two en-suites. Externally be warned there are a lot of steps and can be quite difficult to navigate with luggage. Fresh Escapes were on hand to communicate with and answered our questions efficiently. Brilliant in the sense that FE replied and we were able to check in earlier than the 1600 allocated time. Negatives: The niggle was the fact the hot tub was empty and off , it was expected of us to fill and heat and this was quite disappointing - trying to explain this to a 3 year old and making them wait until the following morning wasn’t ideal, we would have expected that to be done considering we signed the waiver. Therefore having it for use of 2 nights not 3 is unfair. Noise - Friday and Saturday night were incredibly noisy, until about 03:30/04:00 and then the clean up starting at 0600 wasn’t the best. Bar sounds but to be expected as you’re smack back between two but given the location you can’t complain. Drains - there was a slight smell of drains so we kept the windows open but that of course added to the noise in the night. Overall an amazing stay and would recommend the apartment to anyone, just don’t expect to use the hot tub immediately. You’ll enjoy your stay and the location is brilliant and the design internally is great! Would recommend it and thanks to the hosts

While this location was great and the flat has nice finishes, there were some things I would have liked to know prior to booking which may have made me reconsider: 1. The hot tub is not filled upon arrival and you’ll fill it yourself and add the chemicals. The tub takes up to 12 hours to warm up to the right temp. While this isn’t overly complex, it is something I wish I had known prior to booking because I expected to use the hot tub right away when we arrived. 2. The bathrooms have motion detecting lights that you cannot turn off and the doors are sliding doors so the light shines through pretty brightly (something to note if you or your partner need to use the loo in the night) 3. For some reason there was an alarm set for 4:30 am on the retro clock in the room. This is not a decoration as I first assumed and woke up quite abruptly at 4:30 am. 4. This is a fully “self service” apartment, and in our case they didn’t leave us any hand soap in the bathrooms or kitchen. We ended up buying our own after not hearing back for nearly a full day. The management did finally respond and dropped by some soap, but I think this should be expected as a standard even in self service apartments. 5. We had to troubleshoot some wifi issues as it wasn’t working when we arrived, we needed to adjust the antennas in order for it to work (and it was hidden in a cupboard). Overall the place was nice and as advertised. The location and hot tub were great. But it felt a little bit like the attention to detail was slightly overlooked.

What a great location. We enjoyed a week here as a family with our dog. On arrival the apartment was spotless and welcoming. The lounge area and bedrooms were very comfortable and everything had been thought of and it was the little touches such as candles that really made a real difference. This is in a great location and central for bars, restaurants, shopping boat trips and the harbour. What a fantastic place

My friends and I stayed here in July 2021. The apartment is central, new and accurately described. I would flag a few points to anyone looking to book: Given the central location, live music can be heard inside the apartment until about 3am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. There are sliding doors but no locks on the bathrooms - make sure you know your room-mates well! Check-in is from 4pm to allow for cleaning. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 4pm the apartment had not been cleaned (beds half stripped, towels across the floor direly cutlery on the side etc). Fresh Escapes were very prompt in their responses to us, though, which was really appreciated. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. There is also a hairdryer in the cupboard, but no soap/shampoo etc.

Very central location with 2 equally sized en-suite rooms, well furnished. The balcony is great for overlooking the harbour on an evening. Worth keeping in mind,being just behind the harbour restaurants and bars it can be noisy with bottles being emptied and people at the bars.

A fantastic apartment in a brilliant location. Ideally placed to explore the bars and restaurants in Torquay and refurbished to an incredibly high standard. Nice touches included the inbuilt media system that you can bluetooth your phone to and the Nespresso coffee maker. One last thing was the linen and the showers. The pillows and duvets were natural material and lovely to sleep in and the showers were fantastic. These are both areas that Airbnb locations often skimp on.

Really great place in the middle of Torquay perfect for exploring near and surrounding areas. The place was really well done out, nicely decorated to a good standard and a high spec. Bedding and pillows were really luxurious to so we all had good nights sleep. I would definitely recommend.

Great location, fantastic apartment with amazing tech features. Absolutely spotless. Great communication before, during and after our stay. Do visit the Lighthouse restaurant. They love dogs and welcome them with treats, blankets, beds and water bowls. Would definitely return.
