The moorings apartment is in a great location right on the harbour with good bars and restaurants less than a minute away. The two en-suite bedrooms and lovely living space made it ideal for 2 couples to share. The hot top on the outside deck was a real treat and added nicely to our stay. The apartment was perfectly clean and absolutely ideal for our 3-night long weekend stay. I would happily recommend to anyone wishing to visit Torquay as this is a great location

Fantastic accommodation. Pristine condition, super comfortable, had everything needed for a week away and the apartment was beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone. Hot tub was also great and a nice addition. Extremely close to all amenities and a beautiful harbour with plenty of places to eat. We will definitely be staying here again

Absolute rubbish and poncy owners - accepted the booking then decided to cancel it after we had already set off to the destination , because check in was going to be past 10 o’clock . And also because it was a last minute booking and we was 2 males travelling from Birmingham ( it’s not worth the risk for us ) - what risk ? I do wish them a very unsuccessful business .

Steep cleaning fee of £150 was talk of topic. Although the place was beautiful. Also the hot tub wasnt ready for when we arrived witch took some time to get it to its level to use.

Great apartment, spacious, clean, well equipped, well furnished. All amenities as described except the Wi-Fi was not working. The host tried to resolve but was unable to during our short two night stay. But apartment highly recommended if your preference is to be close to the marina and marina-side restaurants - despite proximity to restaurants there was no noise or food smell in the apartment.

A lovely property with a few issues for getting in. However it is a spacious property with good amenities and an excellent location. Very loud on the Saturday night with people having fun in the bars around but quieter on the Sunday night.

Amazing accommodation . Spotlessly clean and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Really easy to chill on the fabulous settee. Host was always quick to reply and very patient in getting us around the closed roads around the accommodation.. The only thing we found but did not affect us was WI FI was quite patchy. But to be fair we did not raise this because it did not affect us for this particular visit. Would definitely stay again . Thankyou

Great location, overlooking the harbour from the hot tub / dining balcony. Modern, recently renovated. Clean. All mod cons. Hot tub pictures don’t do it justice. Host very responsive. Lovely bars and restaurants right by the apartment. Would return. If you have a car make sure you know that you need to park in the local car park. Can unload 15 seconds from the apartment entrance though. Great stay. Thanks

Simon the host was great, had to contact him as not full instructions from fresh escapes but he got back straight away... fantastic place and location although I thought 150 pounds for cleaning was a bit steep but it is the summer... will prob stay there again in near future 👍

A great apartment in a fab location right on the docks. Just a few seconds walk away there are bars, restaurants, and more with some picturesque views. The hot tub is a fab addition too and the space offered in the apartment itself is more than ample. Overall we had a really great stay (with our dog too), but in season I expect could be quite noisy, especially in the bedrooms which back onto a back ally for restaurants etc. below.

Amazing location with great view of the harbour from the balcony and hot tub. Set back enough from the main quay road. Private entrance with easy access to property. Hot tub was easy to use and quick to set up. Everything you need at the property for a comfortable and home from home stay.

We loved our stay here! Everything we needed was within walking distance. The apartment is beautiful and was so clean. As others have said, it can get a bit loud if you're staying on a weekend night but most likely if you're staying here you'll be going out anyway! 100% would stsy again.

Great stay here! Came for a lovely bank holiday weekend away with my partner and his parents as well our both of our dogs! Great places for all. Fab location, really easy to access and even though you’re just behind restaurants / bars we had no issues with noise at all at night and the hot tub was still perfectly private. Would stay again and recommend! Our only issue was that the flat was pretty warm and given it was a pretty grey weekend in May I can imagine the flat gets even hotter during summer.

Our stay was great! The place was better than advertised and right on the Torquay marina. Simon was very responsive and he reached out before and after our check in. He was quick to reply whenever we had questions. Would recommend!

This apartment really isn’t suitable for anyone that wants a peaceful and relaxing break due to the extremely noisy bars and restaurants below the apartment. Music from the 21 Bar is turned up on both Fri and Saturday nights at about 10pm and blares out until 1.30am which means you cannot open any windows making the apartment really hot and sticky to sleep in. The noise starts up again at 8am every morning as staff from the kitchen sit outside in the alleyway right underneath the bedroom windows talking very loudly having breaks / smoking cigarettes. The apartment is very modern and clean but lacks any natural daylight with opaque windows in both bedrooms and tiny windows in the living room and kitchen. The location is great for reaching amenities by foot but perhaps not at the expense of the noise unless you plan to party the night away each evening. There isn’t any privacy on the terrace but it was recommended to us to put the cover of the hot tub sideways along the glass wall facing the street so passers by can’t see you in the hot tub. It also takes 8-12 hours to heat the hot tub and it’s not filled on arrival so suggest you get that going as soon as you arrive especially if you’re only staying a few nights. There were issues on arrival like a broken blind in the bedroom, a bedroom door that wouldn’t close and faulty lamps but these were fixed very quickly by the owner Simon who also helped us to fill up the hot tub. Parking is less than a 5 min walk away in the Beacon car park and is either £9 a day or £25 for a 4 day pass enabling you to park in any Torbay Council car park which is quite a good deal. There are also a Tesco Express and co-op for food / essentials about a 10 min walk away.

Great place to stay great location awesome time in the hot tub highly recommend! If you prefer a harder pillow I’d suggest bringing your own as it’s allow feathers which for me was great but my partner loves a hard pillow so struggled! The dog loved the apartment was safe and secure

What a lovely long weekend we had at the Moorings. The apartment is as it is described. As others have noted, there can be noise at night, but this is the trade off for the location and to me, it was well worth the trade off. Walking straight out onto the main Parade each morning was amazing. We took our puppy and being 10 steps from the harbour was amazing for puppy walks each morning and each evening. The walks available in the immediate area are stunning. The Coastal walk is just 4 minutes walk away and has the most stunning views out across the ocean. In the other direction is the harbour and beach promonade. The hot tub was clean and a great way to relax in the afternoons or evenings after an active day. I'd return, for sure.

This is a gorgeous home in an ideal location- a walk away from the beach and restaurants and a small drive away from the Zoo, or crazy golf in the next town across. The house is spacious, more so than I thought from the pictures and there is actually 2 rooms as opposed to what I thought - 1. The key in the safe is ideal and easy, and allows you to arrive and your leisure and the next door neighbours allow for making new holiday friendships! :) The hot tub is NOT prepared when you arrive but very easy to fill up, you need to allow it 12 hours to heat up so not having it to jump into when you arrive does dampen the mood. At the same time if you are staying for a few days it won’t be an issue and it’s nice to not be covered in chlorine also. I would recommend that the hosts fill the soap dispensers in the bathroom with liquid soap and add little milk pots in the bowl for those that do want a tea/coffee upon arrival. Finally, I would recommend leaving a bottle of wine for guests as shown in one of the photos. I know it’s self lodging but it would go along way and something that other air bnb hosts have provided. Aside from adding these touches (which I think would make the whole experience nicer), it is a beautiful place in a great location and we would 100% recommend and return in the future! This is a nice and brilliantly located property that is great for a group of friends that want to go out to Torquay for a good time, as well as couples without children. Likely not ideal for couples with children. We stayed here in the summer and so some of these points apply to moderate and warm weather, but in the end, we had to leave a day early. Pros: - The location is brilliant. Very central and surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and local amusements - It's only a stones-throw away from the central tourist attractions and also just a short walk away from the ferry to Paignton - Considering the location, we were worried that the noise from the marina, but it's very well insulated and you can't actually hear any of it - everything is very clean and finished to a high standard with great amenities - it's located only a short walk away from 2 small supermarkets - the beds are very comfortable - there's water great pressure on the showers - the communications are great from start to finish - there is a highchair and a travel cot available for those with babies or small kiddies Cons: - although none of the noise from the marina & front of the building filters up, the 2 bedrooms sit directly above the back of a restaurant and if you have the windows open overnight, it is incredibly noisy until well after midnight and at weekends, longer - there is also an air conditioning unit right below both bedroom windows that comes on and off all night and is very smelly, noisy and disruptive at night - unfortunately, the central heating is set remotely to 20C and blasts 24/7, which makes the bedrooms really stuffy, so it's impossible to keep the windows shut, which then means it's very noisy at night (see above) - the bathroom and hallway lights are movement triggered and cannot be turned off, so if anyone needs the loo at night, all the lights come on and don't turn off for around 15mins - although the appliances are great in the kitchen, it is completely bare and there are no dishwasher tabs, coffee pods for the coffee maker, spare loo rolls, etc.

Fabulous location, view of the harbour, pubs and restaurants are a stone throw away. We parked the car in the nearest car park for the duration of our stay costing £8.50 for 24hrs. The apartment was beautifully furnished, very clean and plenty of room for 4 adults but definitely big enough for a family too. We’ll definitely be booking again the future.

We stayed here for 5 days during the May half term, during which we were really lucky with the weather.... Two adults, an eleven year old and a small dog. The property was brand new and was exactly as described, very well appointed and decorated throughout. To give you an idea the contents all appear to come from John Lewis. The terrace area was a really good size relative to the property and caught the sun in the evening with a view through to the harbour. For dogs, easy access to some grass the other size of the road. Security - a key coded maglock gate prevents unwanted wanderers from coming into the private area which is perfect and easy to use. Location - right in the hard of the party strip, but nicely set back. The sound proofing of the property meant there was limited noise (just from open windows) and we were nicely away from the action but close enough to enjoy the atmosphere. There is a nightclub three doors down that was closed, so not sure how much difference that will make. The restaurants and cafes locally where fantastic... many local businesses with high quality food available. Things to do - this is now beyond the property but a great base for coastal walks, boat/ferry trips from the marina, arcades and shops... Overally - great base for a fun break through to family time!
