Wonderful stay at this place - it was so relaxing and has everyone you need for a cosy stay, with the log burner, sky box, good WiFi, hot tub and well stocked kitchen. The host was really responsive whenever we had questions. Gorgeous area with amazing walks across Dartmoor national park so was the perfect base for us.

This was a lovely stay for me and my partner. The space was lovely and the location was amazing! The pool on the property was lovely after some long days of walking, and the space was warm and cozy. The hot tub was a little bit tricky as have to maintain the fire frequently, but was lovely once it was warm. We very much enjoyed our weekend.

This place is absolutely stunning! Added bonus of a hot tune and swimming pool! The area is beautiful, the beach and Caninteign Falls were lovely. I wished we were able to extend our stay!

I stayed here for the weekend and it was perfect! So peaceful and private. The pool is shared however we were the only ones in it. The place is so clean and homely (most comfortable bed and sofa). Our hot tub heated up fast and was easy to set up. The hosts were lovely and so helpful after our car broke down. Beaches are all around may be a 15-30 min drive depending where you are going. Couldn’t fault anything, it was perfect and we will definitely be back again (most likely in the winter) Amazing! Thank you x

Really lovely place to stay, would definitely stay here again! Only thing to be aware of is the hot tub takes a very long time to heat up (4+ hours) so just be mindful of that if you want to use it. Pool and sauna were lovely and had them to ourselves the time we used it which was great. Overall a very clean and tidy place would definitely recommend!

A beautiful space out in the countryside, with excellent links to the motor way to travel all round Devon with ease. Check in details were a bit confusing, make sure you follow to a tee! Will defiantly re visit!

There were two apartments attached to the owners property and we had the upstairs one (Swift's Return) on the level with the swimming pool. The apartment was immaculate with a large TV in the lounge and a smaller one in the bedroom. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and the bathroom spotlessly clean Immediately outside was the hot tub (wood fired, so be prepared to fill and heat up well in advance of when you intend to use it) and the indoor heated swimming pool was about a 20 seconds walk from the front door. We loved our stay, very relaxing. The owners were on hand and very helpful if needed but otherwise just left us to our own devices. I highly recommend this property and would love to go back

What a lovely experience in the heart of Devon right near lush Dartmoor. The location was accessible to so many gorgeous hikes in the forest and moors, and the space was a soothing sanctuary.

Fantastic family friendly stay with the dogs in the teign valley. The property was a real gem with fantastic facilities. The swimming pool was an ideal place to give my 4 month old baby his first swim. The location was completely remote with no amenities nearby however we had prepared pretty well. The only slight personal niggle was that there were no shops or pubs nearby to walk to. But if you’re looking for a perfect property in a remote location for a self catered family trip, then Hyner bridge is ideal.

For what you get, this place is absolutely perfect. Free range to use hot tub, sauna and swimming pool. Had use of these amenities to ourselves. Very private. Beautiful grounds and the place we stayed was lovely. Just perfect! The dogs loved running around in the guest garden and by the stream. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Didn’t want to leave so we payed for an extra night. Would definitely recommend. And would definitely pay this place a visit again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Property as described, perfect for two. Check-in was easy, property looked as pictured with a working kitchen and all required crockery and pans. Hot tub was not as expected, instead of the 2-3 hours as described, this took 4 hours to fill and a further 4 hours to heat, so if you were staying for just one day this would not be possible to use. Generally peaceful other than one evening where the owners dog kept us up until midnight with it’s barking. Is a good central Devon location if you wanted to travel to beaches and the national park. Thanks for the stay.

Lovely place, beautiful surroundings & helpful hosts. Private patio with hot tub & almost exclusive use of the pool and sauna. Local to plenty of lovely walks. We had a couple of issues with the power (something kept tripping the sockets) but the owner came over to chat to us about it, very responsive.

Great facilities, had the pool and sauna to ourselves whenever we used them. The hot tub took a bit of effort, but once it was heated it stayed warm for the whole of our stay. Very peaceful place to stay.

Only two well maintained 2 bed apartments, which means you have almost exclusive access to a lovely pool and sauna. You had a wood fired hot tub which always goes down well. Peaceful and great setting for a proper relax.

Beautiful secluded location. Additional facilities such as po sauna and ho5 tub make this a break to really relax, unwind and enjoy the stunning location. The apartment is spacious, cleqn and comfortable. Would definitely reconisder booking again

Thank you for a wonderful experience, we struggled with the wood fired hot tub but got there in the end, albeit was briefly due to rain. sauna, pool, facilities, absolutely first class. Comfy bed, great night sleep to be had, close to interesting locations such as Castle Drogo Teignmouth etc. overall absolutely 5*

Just felt over priced, hot tub glass missing in door meant it took an age to heat up along with poor pressure meant it took two hours to fill not one as advertised . Sauna not on with no instructions in pool area of how to make it work. (Later found them in the room in a very tired manual) Owners dogs onsite very loud and when left unattended would bark. A lot! Felt like it had been cleaned after last use and not checked and maybe left a while as there was so many cob webs and spiders. No shops near by no problem we were prepared. However there is 1 x frying pan 1 x sauce pan 2x different wine glasses not particularly nice. Other bits plentiful Over all it’s a beautiful space and we had a lovely time but I feel like with a little extra from the hosts it could be so much more. Tips - A little bottle of milk, some extra kitchen amenities. Wood, fire lighters kindling waiting for you to use. Not having to get it from the log barn Double check the clean

My partner and I had a fantastic time! Beautiful, peaceful location just what we needed. We loved spending time by the pool and using the sauna - it was so relaxing and private! The bed was very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed ☺️ Overall we had a very pleasant time and we will definitely be visiting again 😊 Beautiful waterfall walk is just 3 min drive from the property. So for people who like spending time in nature this place is a dream 😁

Lots of issues here regarding the venue. A massive lack of maintenance prior to our stay. No electricity on the patio with hot tub. Lots of lightbulbs not working in kitchen and bathroom. No central heating working in December. Outside stairwell did not have any working lights making it a serous safety issue. The landlady seems to be not very welcoming to other pets ( saying our 3 French bulldogs were aggressive just because she did not like them) Nothing has been checked prior to our arrival to avoid all these issues and then they are bragging about the high quality maintenance and cleaning ( we suspect the cleaning was done by the ever present housewife..) Also the place was expensive, difficult to find and no locals seems to know this place. There is literally no network cover making it impossible to use any map or place a call. Definitely not good value for money

what a stunning location, the bed is very comfortable and the place was very clean. However, not very private as the lounge and bedroom look out on the owners private house and garden and you have to walk through their private garden to get to the pool. It would have been nice to have the hottub filled, if not heated, ready for arrival as it tool ages to do. Couldn't use it the first night as the logs and kindling weren't where the welcome said they would be. I contacted fresh escapes who didn't reply until the next morning to say that you helped yourself from the main houses log store. (not owners fault). 2nd day was not a relaxing one as the owners dog barked continually throughout the day. Again contacted fresh escapes twice before they responded and they took a long time to respond. They had to message the owner to come home to settle the dog. Also a large wasps nest in the garden which was annoying. Such a shame because its a beautiful place but wouldn't stay again at the price!

Overall the place was acceptable and the owner Teressa was extremely helpful. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the apartment, we arrived to ants in the bedroom (the ant nest seemed to be just outside the bedroom) and ended up having to use ant powder and spray to stop them coming in whilst we were there (this wasn’t great as I am pregnant). The guttering outside the bedroom is broken so when it rained there was dripping sounds all night long which kept us up. The hot tub did not have jets so it took longer to heat up than expected and the lighting outside did not work, we do not know why. We were told we could not arrive earlier or have a bit of a later check out for no reason, even though we knew no one was staying the day before and day we were leaving. I did inform the management agent I was 27 weeks pregnant but they didn’t seem to care. The location is lovely and the swimming pool and sauna is wonderful!

Had a really relaxing couple of days, own private patio with hot tub and BBQ. Easy access to the pool, which although shared we had to ourselves on all visits and after such hot days recently, the pool was so lovely and such a luxury! Everyone was really friendly and welcoming, the grounds were beautiful and really peaceful. Would really recommend for a relaxing break away!

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Swifts Return. The apartment is super comfy, clean and has everything you need. The garden is beautiful and our dog had so much fun exploring and playing with the owners very sweet dogs. The pool and sauna area is fantastic, we felt like we were on a spa weekend! The location is great as it’s so close to some lovely villages to explore and places to see. I recommend staying here to get away from it all and explore Dartmoor, we loved it!

Beautiful place, hidden away on Dartmoor National Park. The sound of the babbling brook at the bottom of the property greets you as soon as you open the front door, alongside the vocal presence of pheasants, robins and blackbirds, and the silent deer who we spotted out of the window on a few of mornings we spent there. The sauna is wonderful, the pool is great, and starlit nights in the hot-tub are a real treat. Kind and friendly owners and responsive support team make for a great experience.

Such a beautiful little hidden gem! We visited for our mini moon and it was everything we wanted. We didn’t see another person whilst we were there and it felt like we were able to enjoy it as if we were the only people there. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a secluded get away with limited phone signal! Beautiful place.

We arrived at the correct time expecting to use the facilities but were unable due to hosts lack of organisation. The location is ideal for a getaway and getting out and about in the area. If you want peace and quiet then you may get it depending if the owners have left their barking dog for a few hours or not. The facilities are lovely when you are able to use them and the accommodation is a good sized apartment although it requires some better up keep with broken slabs, window sills and other cosmetic bits. Overall, this is an overpriced apartment that I feel a little misled on using given the description and price.

A hidden gem, peace and tranquility in a fully functional flat. We loved the hot tub, the garden and the gorgeous countryside. It was a perfect romantic getaway for our honeymoon and we felt so welcome. We will definitely be back!

The flat was just as described and shown in photos - an idyllic little spot with a great location for exploring Dartmoor and the coast alike. We really enjoyed our stay and all the facilities. Would definitely stay again in the future!

This place is set in a beautiful, quite and friendly area. The apartment was very clean fresh and modern. The wood fired hot tub was really nice right out the front of your door, very private. the swimming pool etc was super nice with again a very modern and clean feel, any problems and the owners are right there and happy to help. Thank you for our stay, this is a must stay if your looking at this area.
