The space
Hawke Cottage is the perfect self catering holiday cottage for 2 couples sharing or small families. Located just outside Dartmouth with 2 ensuite bedrooms, modern interior and private garden; This sympathetically restored, fully thatched stone cottage is situated within the grounds of the Dartmouth Hotel which offers two exceptional golf courses, bar, restaurant and a leisure and spa complex with swimming pool which guests can access. The rear of the property affords magnificent views of the golf course and surrounding Devon countryside. A 5 minute drive will take you to beautiful riverside town of Dartmouth or the picture postcard village of Dittisham, the local beaches of Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands are also within striking distance. For families visiting the area Woodlands Leisure Park is a 2 minute drive away.Accommodation:
The front door opens to an entrance hall with plenty of space for coats and boots as well as a cloakroom with toilet and basin. Stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find the bedrooms. A few steps down from the entrance hall take you to the open plan living room with kitchen, dining and lounge areas. . The living room benefits from patio doors which let in lots of lights and provide access to the private grassy garden. The living room is furnished with two sofas with side tables and lamps, TV, DVD player. A dining area completes the room with dining table and chairs for 4.
The kitchen is up a step from the lounge area and is well-equipped with integrated dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Both of the bedrooms are on the first floor and have ensuite bathroom facilities. The master bedroom has a double bed; the master bedroom has an en suite bath with overhead shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom has twin beds with an ensuite shower toilet and wash basin. Both bedrooms are at the rear of the property and look out over the rear garden towards the golf course.

We had a lovely three night stay over Feb half term with our two young children. They particularly enjoyed being able to use the pool and tennis court at the hotel and having the beach nearby. We also enjoyed trips out to Dartmouth, Totnes and Dittisham. The cottage itself was lovely, very clean and bright with everything we needed. When my son was poorly the host promptly organised replacement linen for us which was appreciated. We’d definitely return here as a lovely get away outside of peak season

We had a lovely stay at the Dart Valley Cottages. The location is great and the property looks out onto beautiful hills. Having the use of the facilities at the Hotel is a real plus. We have young children and they are only allowed in the pool in the morning and later in the afternoon but this worked well for us as it allowed us to plan our day around a swim first thing or last thing. Such good value for what you get and the location is great for exploring the locals towns and villages or getting up on Dartmoor for a walk. Highly Recommend a stay here.
