2 Fairfax Place is a stylishly modernised apartment in one of Dartmouth’s most-characterful buildings. Sympathetically renovated to showcase its historic charms, there’s also smart-home technology to control everything from the heating to entertainment. The partially stained-glass ceiling-height windows bathe the rooms in light, and reflect the unique façade of this imposing, listed Victorian building. Great for romantic getaways, ideal for families and friends. A parking permit is provided.
The space
Located on the second floor, the front door opens to the lovely hallway with the combined kitchen/dining room and lounge at the front of the apartment and the bedrooms and bathroom at the rear. The kitchen diner combines the original stain glass windows with modern décor including coloured downlights from the marble effect kitchen island and heated oak floors. The Kitchen is well-equipped with electric range, induction hob, microwave, Nespresso machine (capsules not provided), wall mounted TV and all other kitchen utensils and accessories that one may require to host a dinner party or equally a quiet night in.

The light bright lounge consists of a large 48 inch Smart TV, large corner sofa and wing back chair that provides ample seating to cosy into for a movie night. A NOW TV Movies and Entertainment package is included with the flat.

There are two bedrooms, The master bedroom has a fixed king-size bed and wardrobe and the second bedroom which has a king-size that can be split into two single beds if required (please let us know upon booking).

The bathroom is finished to a very high standard with freestanding bath, heated towel rail and separate shower with oversized rain forest shower head. There is a separate toilet located further down the main hall.

Google Hubs can be found in both bedrooms and the kitchen. Highchair and Cot available upon request.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole flat. A car park pass provided is valid for Mayors Avenue car park a 1-minute walk away. Please note that the pass does not guarantee a space.

Great little apartment right in the centre of dartmouth. Lovely and modern .. it was very clean on arrival and had a great kitchen area. Had an issue with no cot or high chair but was quickly resolved and both were there upon arrival. Easy to find and we managed to park right outside to unload the car. We stayed as a family of 5 for a few days in half term and we all had a great time. Thank you

Directions from the Agency were very out of date, but once we found it the flat was well equiped, finished, clean and tidy on arrival, and as described on line, with good facilities. Entry to the flat was via a steep staircase, so be aware. The flat had a very good information pack which was useful. We were there in Dartmouth Regatta week so I suspect the prices reflected the demand, but it was still reasonable value for a very central location. We would definatley stay again in the future.

A second fabulous stay at this stylish apartment. Great spot in the heart of beautiful Dartmouth. The car parking pass is a god send with parking being at such a premium, especially during the summer months. Matress topper on the king bad made a big difference, much better this year. Couple of small points that could improve the apartment. Scissors in the cutlery draw, sofa needs fixing / updating and the fan also needs replacing as it can get very warm in the apartment with all the windows. Overall a fabulous stay. We will be back.

Property Manager Terms

  • For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
  • For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 7 full days before the listing's local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email), otherwise no refund will be given. If only 50% of the reservation has been paid, no refund will be issued and the remaining 50% will simply not be charged.
  • If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
  • Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
  • Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
  • A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
