The space
Bayards is a fantastic base for a self-catering holiday in the centre of historic Dartmouth - either a short break or longer. This well-appointed first-floor apartment is perfect for two couples sharing or a small family - with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a good-sized living space. Pets are welcome, too. You’re just a short stroll from the riverside, eclectic shops, chic restaurants, and cosy inns. River rides and ferries take you to the Dart Valley’s picturesque villages and coves beyond.Accommodation:
A flight of internal stairs lead to the front door and hallway from where all rooms are accessed. At the far end of the hall, the light and airy open-plan living space with sofas, TV and a DVD player. The dining area comfortably seats four. The well-equipped kitchen has a gas oven and hob, fridge-freezer, and washing machine.
There are two bedrooms - an en-suite double room with a shower and WC and a twin bedroom with two single beds. There's also a family bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
There's central heating throughout.
There is no garden for exercising dogs, but you are only a short walk from the South West Coast Path. There's also Coronation Park on the North Embankment which is popular with dog owners.
Parking:
A parking permit is provided for the Mayors Avenue Car Park, which is a 5-minute walk away. The permit does not guarantee a parking space, and it can get very busy during the summer and special events, such as the Royal Regatta week (during which the car park is closed).
Guest access
Guests have access to the whole apartment which is yours to enjoy for the duration of your visit.Other things to note

Location is perfect and quiet considering the location is in the main town. The flat was clean and a lovely size and the use of 2 bathrooms for 4 people was great. It’s good to be able to park to drop off and collect your items and the use of the parking permit was helpful (approximately a 10/15 minute walk away from the car park). On arrival I did collect the keys to find the main entrance key was bent so I couldn’t initially enter but after speaking with Kevin at Dart Valley he advised to just bend back into place (thankfully this worked without breaking and they would look to replace for new). We did have an issue with the heating to find it was controlled externally but after speaking with Fiona and other colleagues (including a message from Karen at Dart Valley) this was soon recitified. Regardless of a couple of issues, I cannot complain as they were all dealt with swiftly, promptly and with a helpful and professional attitude. Thank you!

Property Manager Terms
- For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
- For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 7 full days before the listing's local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email), otherwise no refund will be given. If only 50% of the reservation has been paid, no refund will be issued and the remaining 50% will simply not be charged.
- If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
- A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
