Nestled behind historic Bayards Cove you will find Gulls Nest - a perfectly equipped apartment for one couple in the heart of this ancient, picturesque town. With one bedroom, a well-equipped compact kitchen, living room, and shower room, you’re only a stone’s throw from Dartmouth’s riverside charms and boats connecting you across the Dart Valley. Premier restaurants and inns are on your doorstep, as is one of the world’s longest and most-popular walking routes – the South West Coast Path.

The space

Enter from the pedestrianised slipway that runs between Bayards Cove and Newcommen Road. The front door opens immediately into the open plan living space with lounge are that includes a sofa and armchair, seasonal tables, wall mounted smart television, DAB radio. A feature wall of whitewashed stonework echos the history of the building surrounds the fireplace with electric effect fire. In the near window is the dining table for 2.

The kitchen very compact but is complete with oven and hobs, fridge with freezer box, toaster, kettle and microwave.

The bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables, wall mounted hanging space and chest of drawers.

The shower room is off the lounge rather than the bedroom and contains a shower, toilet and washbasin.

There is no private parking or permit included with this apartment.

The historic cobbled harbourside of Bayards Cove where the pilgrims set off for America is at the bottom of the slipway. The town centre is a few minutes walk away. The beaches of Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands are a 5 and 10 minute drive away.

For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 7 full days before the listing's local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email), otherwise no refund will be given. If only 50% of the reservation has been paid, no refund will be issued and the remaining 50% will simply not be charged.
If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.

A lovely little cottage right by the harbour, very close to the centre of Dartmouth and walks to the castle and coast path.

Gull's Cottage is a small space, pretty well located in Dartmouth. The bed is warm and comfortable, and the living room is warmed efficiently by the heaters. The views out of the windows are all of walls, but natural light gets in. There can be noise from people passing the front door, and the lower ferry is audible (although not a major disturbance). The bathroom is small and the shower cubicle is tiny, the shower works well though. There is no dedicated parking, but during our mid-Oct stay we always found free parking close by. Dartmouth is a very nice place; it's generally pretty expensive, so this place seemed to be pretty good value for money. It was a fine stay for us.

As the place is called the Gulls Nest, it is a small compact cottage, so an ideal place as I was staying here by myself. The location was fantastic at the back of Bayards Cove, where everything is exceptionally close by the river front, restaurants, shops and the ferry.

Very nice place to stay, bathroom slightly smaller than expected but still comfortable for the whole week stay! Landlord very nice. Would come back again! Good value during this time of the year in Dartmouth!

Great location, clean, compact but we are a couple and a 3 month old baby and more than enough space - I worked in the week I was there and nice quite place with a large table to work from - kitchen well stocked - 1 min down the hill and have the pub and a harbour view with benches so great to sit out at night - highly recommend
