The famous cobbled Foss Street - arguably one of the most photographed streets in England - is a very short walk from the apartment with its selection of independent shops and, of course, many cafes, pubs and restaurants close by. Not far from the end of Foss Street, you will find yourself in Royal Avenue Gardens with its splendid bandstand in the centre, often the focus for local entertainers and musicians. Bell Court is positioned just a couple of streets back from the Embankment with its charming walk all the way along from the Higher Ferry to the historic Lower Ferry, with ample opportunity for all types of refreshments on the way! Dartmouth itself is positioned within the South Hams, with easy access to other towns and villages, including eclectic Totnes, and head over the water towards Brixham and the English Riviera, where seal and dolphin watching is a regular pastime.

The relaxed feel of 3 Bell Court is apparent after a day out with its ample space for a family meal and comfy seating area in the sitting room. In addition, there is an outside patio area for evening drinks and nibbles, or indeed an area for morning coffee. Please keep noise must also be kept to a minimum as sound travels easily within the courtyard area.

The historic market square is a short walk from the front door, as is the pedestrianised shopping street Foss Street, which has a wonderful selection of individual shops and galleries. Up a flight of external stairs and one flight of internal stairs, 3 Bell Court boasts 3 double bedrooms, a comfortable sitting room, a well-equipped kitchen-diner and bathroom plus an additional w/c.


Accommodation

On entering the property, the hallway runs the length of the property. Immediately in front of you is the cosy living room with two comfortable sofas, and a TV with PlayStation 3 - a truly comfortable space after a busy day.

Next to the lounge, the first bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and drawers. There are also two further double bedrooms with ample space and comfort.

The kitchen-diner comfortably seats six. The well-equipped kitchen has an integrated fridge, freezer, and dishwasher and is a welcoming space for all the family to enjoy, with plenty of room for preparing delicious meals and enjoying quality time.

The family bathroom at the rear has a bath with an overhead shower and is also where you'll find the washing machine. Next to the bathroom is an additional cloakroom and WC.

Please note that the outside steps to access 3 Bell Court may be hazardous for unattended small children or for people with mobility problems.

Bell Court shares a lovely courtyard with permanent residents, and we respectfully ask that noise be kept to a minimum after 11pm when using the outside patio area.


Parking

There is a parking permit supplied for the Mayors Avenue Car Park. The permit does not guarantee a parking space, and it can get very busy during the summer and special events, such as the Royal Regatta week (during which the car park is closed).

The flat is just like a home from home. We were just a couple, but the flat would be perfect for a family or two couples. Cosy, warm and comfortable, the perfect place to rest up after good walks. The bed was very comfortable and the bedrooms are all very large with loads of storage space, far more than most Air BnBs. The bathroom, (and in fact the whole flat) was lovely and clean with piping hot water, and a very useful towel rail for drying off wet socks! The lounge was very comfortable, light and bright, and perfect for resting those weary limbs. The kitchen is very well appointed with everything you could need if eating in. That said, the flat is really well located in the heart of Dartmouth, just perfect for enjoying the town and all it has to offer. It’s in a very quiet street, yet only a few minutes’ walk from the front, from shops, cafes or pubs. making it very easy when returning from being out and about. We will be back

We very much enjoyed our stay in Dartmouth and the apartment was as advertised and worked very well for our family of five. It was difficult getting our baby and buggy up and down the stairs, plus the many bags we had due to travelling with small children. We did have a couple of issues while we were there - understanding the heating system and the kettle broke - but the company managing the property were very responsive when we had an issue.
