Beautiful Villge and A very nice place in the heart of it . it's a gift to spend a few days right next to the water. through our family trip that went up and down because of some Health reasons I want to say that we recommend lucienne and she's definitely one of the best hosts we had in Airbnb. She did everything and more for us to make our trip as good as planned during the circumstances. all though we had some troubles that I'm sure fixed by now I have only good things to say about the place and the team! Thank you very much 😊

Great location.beautiful area . Negatives>.Queen bed on single bed mattress is only for one if that, as it is so dangerous, as mentioned in previous reviews, and I asked before travelling from Australia if this was fixed, and it had not been.totally dangerous. Was told to have them both sleep in the middle. There is zero closet space as it is filled with the owners crap.again…not what you expect for $3,000 plus per week AUD. There is also a smell of sewerage that emits from the run down bathroom .no soap or toiletries. FYI.which would have been appreciated…even small sized liquid soap for shower would have been nice. The bedding consists of sheets…..ours had stains. The single bed mattress had urine stains, and that single room was filled with kids belongings.two of the nights it was rainy and cool and I asked for quilts, which I was given two, with no covers. No mattress protectors. It was just kinda gross. I have never stayed in an air bnb that wasn’t cleaned out properly.

The host was very nice on allowing us to do an early check-in which we were very grateful. The place was very central for ville franche su mar but in the mean time please keep in mind that the most restaurants in the village close around 10-11 pm so you wille have to drive to Nice for more a liveable vibe. On Friday afternoon we were out of electricity in our apartment. We called over 10 times all the phone number that were provided, each day until Monday morning to have someone help us or direct us on how to fix this problem. On Monday afternoon the host messaged back saying that they do not work on the weekend ???. Our phones were out of battery for 3 days, we couldn’t even call or order a taxi, we almost fell off the stairs. On top of the everything we were showering will cold water. Understanding that this could’ve happened to everyone, their lack of communication and responsibility left a lot to desire. I won’t be returning to their properties in the future.

The apartment is spacious, stylish and has a gorgeous view! The shower worked well with hot water and good pressure, and the overall design is very nice. That said, there were some challenges. One of the beds was uncomfortable and borderline unsafe? It was a full-size mattress on a much smaller bed frame. When we shifted our weight, the mattress tilted, and one of us even fell off a couple of times. Also there was a noticeable sewage-like smell one morning. It eventually went away, but the stench lingered. Lastly, we knew going into our stay, no AC was a risk and it was definitely hot. August temperatures (60–80°F) made the apt very hot, and we ran three fans to stay cool at night. It’s also managed by a property company, so you need to fill out a profile on their website for check-in, which we didn’t prefer. To recap, the apartment has great bones and an amazing location, but the bed, occasional odor, and check-in process made our stay less comfortable than preferred.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Villefrance. Our main issue is that the apartment gets extremely hot (3rd flr walk up) and even with fans, it was so hot we could not spend a lot of time in the place and the nights were not easy. Also, its technically a three bedroom, but one of the bedroom is actually a converted sofa, so not really a proper bed. I think it would be best to replace it with a full scale bed. Otherwise the place is really charming and the hosts responsive. The place was also clean, and functional which we appreciated!

Lovely apartment with views over towards the bay. In the middle of the restaurants and old town close to beach and transport links. The apartment felt very homely and quirky. It is a top floor flat and a lot of Villefranche-sur-Mer is on a hill so a few steps but well worth choosing this accommodation. Lovely location in a lovely town.

This is a very lovely flat ideally located that will be perfect for many. A couple points to bear in mind, there are many steps to the flat and they are rather high. The flat is right by the church which means that the bell wakes you up pretty early - this was not a problem for us as we are early risers and we rather enjoyed its chant - very atmospheric!

It’s a mix. The neighborhood is great but many things were falling apart — parts of the bathroom, paint, the door handle of the bathroom. I swear there was black mold in the bathroom. Yet, the place had charm. But we felt let down. We had booked for a week but were only given 2 mostly gone rolls of toilet paper, a nearly gone paper towel roll, no condiments like salt or pepper, or oils, and not one good knife for chopping. We had to buy more paper products and condiments. Also, the power in the unit went out twice. The host was very slow to respond and we had to figure it out on our own. Keep in mind, I’ve never written a negative Airbnb review before… ever. In short, the location is spectacular but you can’t expect any help. Also: 1) if you have any mobility issues, this is not for you. It’s a lot of steep stairs up. 2) the church bells next door are hilariously loud starting at 7am. 3) it’s much smaller than the pictures would indicate. We had a good time anyway.

We had a great little refuge here during our stay in the Côte d'Azur. Peaceful and well designed with a great view and sunlight in the morning. It was a lot of stairs up to the apartment for my older parents. We made it work by only returning at the end of our day.

We had a wonderful stay at Perchoir! The apartment is lovely, with both older style and new amenities. Romain was an excellent host, responsive and conscientious. The house was very clean and had everything we needed, including things like extra bedding and drying racks. Hot water pressure was strong & washing machine easy to access and use. No oven but there is an air fryer that works well. The Sofa bed in the third bedroom was comfortable as both sofa and bed. The radiators and space heaters kept us warm, and lighting and carpet upstairs was very cozy. Set-up of the house is nice in that there’s some separation between sleeping and eating areas while also allowing communication between them. We weren’t able to hear any of our neighbours. The house is right next to the church, though, so we heard the bells every hour from 7 am to 9 pm! Other than that, we enjoyed our time there very much, and would certainly stay there again. Thanks Romain for being an excellent host!

The three of us had a really lovely stay. Romaine’s place is light, aired, clean and characterful. It is a really beautiful town and it’s an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Our 15 year old son liked the big TV to watch the Euros and Netflix! We used only public transport as the train station is nearby and you can visit all the local towns and cities easily. Really good relaxing fun!

Very nice apartment in the heart of the beautiful city of Villefranche-sur-mer. Close to restaurants, shops, buses and train station. Only downside: there is no air conditioning and the apartment is on the 4th floor, so it's hot. Also, everything was great!

We had an extremely pleasant stay in a very charming apartment. We loved the view out over the rooftops, church bells and the view to beautiful surroundings! Very happy with communication with the host. Recommended and we'd love to come back!

Deceptively spacious, spotlessly clean in a fantastic location right in the centre of the beautiful village of Villefranche sur mer. Romain was a fantastic host who answered all my questions quickly. He provided an excellent guide to the area’s restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend this charming apartment.

Great location, thought we were closer to Nice, but didn’t care because it was even better than Nice and we were so happy to be there. Best beach we have been to in France. Romain was an excellent host and helped us when we locked ourselves out of the apartment. He had great communication from when we booked, right through until check out. Everything was clear and seamless. It was clean and towels were provided which was excellent! The washer and dryer was an added bonus and the house had majority of items we needed when cooking. Would 100% stay again. With 5 people next time as 6 was too many for the smaller space.

A picturesque top floor apartment with beautiful rooftop and a slice of ocean views. The beds we’re comfortable for our family of 5. Romain is a very responsive and hospitable host. We got our steps in (over 30 stairs from the sidewalk to the apartment door) which helped justify the croissants from nearby bakeries. While we enjoyed a few local and nearby cafes and bars, we made many of our meals in the kitchen, and enjoyed gathering to eat around the dining table. We appreciated the washer, dryer, and the clothesline outside the window.

We loved our holiday in this sweet little apartment. Romain was exceptionally helpful, sending lots of local info and responding to queries very promptly including sorting a stuck window quickly. It was particularly nice to stay in a real home with its personal touches about the place and to feel part of the community in surrounding homes and apartments. There is lots to do and see within minutes of the location. And the view from the main bedroom to the sea is stunning - we were lucky enough to catch the most amazing firework display from the masked ball celebrations on Cap Ferrat across the bay.

The apartment is located in a beautiful part of Villefranche-sur-Mer. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and beautiful pebble beaches. It is also the ideal base from where to explore everything that the south of France offers - day trips to Monaco, Eze, Nice and more. The perfect location for a relaxing summer holiday! Romaine was an excellent host - proactive and very responsive and understanding. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Romain was a great host, who helped me when I had some trouble entering the house with the keys. He had a lot of information prepared for every occasion. We went with our family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), personally I would not recommend it for a group of 6 if you don’t like coziness. We loved it! However the vibe of the house and the place itself was beautiful and it made our whole family fall in love with Villefranche-sur-Mer. Romain even left us some little bathroom kits they usually give you in hotels, which we really appreciated. AND he did give us towels, which in the ad say they did not have. Very handy. We were overall very happy with our stay at Romain’s place.
