What We Love

This stunning 1847 heritage-listed home combines Georgian beauty with modern amenities. Lovingly restored and updated by the talented designer Belle Bright Project, this gorgeous property is the ideal retreat for an unforgettable get-together, a bridal shower, special family occasion or simply a glorious escape.

The house features multiple living areas — including a formal living room, breakfast room and formal dining room complete with a large entertaining table and vintage drinks cabinet. The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, including a Lacanche oven from Burgundy and beautiful antique platters. Guests can also relax on the covered porch and among established gardens that surround the house.

With six bedrooms, the house comfortably sleeps 12. There are five unique bedrooms upstairs, each with their own charm (think luxe velvet headboards, natural linen drapes and pleasing chandeliers). A final sixth bedroom is found on the lower floor, ideal if you want a little more privacy.

There are also three luxurious bathrooms. The first bathroom boasts a freestanding Rockwell roll top bath, ideal for soaking in your heritage surroundings. The second bathroom is equally exquisite, boasting mountain views, seen from its cast-iron freestanding bath. A third full bathroom with a freestanding bath, toilet and shower is on the lower floor.

The leafy yet central location makes this the ideal choice for exploring Tasmania. Just a few minutes walk from Launceston CBD, you’re moments away from exploring popular eateries, fabulous galleries and the delicious Harvest Launceston Community Farmers’ Market. It is also a perfect base for discovering some of the best wineries along the Tamar or enjoying one of the region’s many scenic hikes.

The property is easily accessible via public transport and ride sharing services. You are also welcome to bring your car, which can be left securely in one of four parking spaces.

Beulah is a beautiful home and perfect for a group of friends travelling together. The garden and surrounding area is quiet and very attractive. The house is extremely well presented with a vast array of beautiful rooms. The kitchen had everything you would ever need and more! The bathrooms were immaculately clean and the bedrooms luxurious, with high quality linen and comfortable beds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We came to Tasmania for a winery tour (with Arras originally the highlight), but staying at Gorgeous Georgian Beulah House quickly became a destination in itself. From the moment we arrived, our group was enchanted. The house is beautifully furnished, with warmth and care in every detail. The bedrooms are spacious, the beds divinely comfortable, and the luxurious linens, towels and bath robes felt wonderfully indulgent. The kitchen is superbly equipped, with a lovely range of crockery and serving ware, and genuinely inviting to cook and linger in. The lounge and multiple sitting areas, inside and out, provided perfect spaces to read, talk and unwind. The atmosphere was so inspiring that we spent evenings sharing poetry and stories together… something truly special. The bathrooms were stunning, with excellent water pressure and beautiful toiletries. The gardens were equally impressive, with flowers, herbs and fruit trees that made wandering the grounds a daily pleasure. Thank you. ?

The immediate impression as we drove through the front gate was ‘wow!’ as we saw the exquisite English garden to our left and the beautiful front porch with cushioned wicker chairs to our right. Being Asian we responded with pleasure to the request to remove shoes upon house entry, and were wowed again by the traditional furniture, dark wooden floors and a perfectly spacious (and extremely well equipped) kitchen. Then came the bedroom inspections and we were wowed time and again as we saw each room in turn, with each their own exceptional views and character. The beautiful bedrooms were however not even the highlight. That honour was reserved for the bathrooms - all of them! In short, staying in Beulah House was the combination of what you’d expect from a Jane Austen novel, but with spacious showers with super strong water, huge fridge and freezer, smart TV, top range coffee machine, soft towels and linen sheets. Above all, we appreciated most the thoughtfulness.

Wow absolutely incredible and unique stay, so much effort and time has been put into to every detail, truly magical experience and best beds we have ever stayed in ! Unlimited amount of things to do within short distance, it was hard to leave! Totally unforgettable experience & would recommend to anyone wanting a truly amazing experience

What a beautiful old home. The perfect place for a group to stay. Attention to detail was obvious with lovely linen and towels. Beautiful comfortable beds. Very well equipped kitchen. 3 spacious bathrooms. Very quiet at night.

    1. Guests will be vetted and checked before receiving access instructions. 2. Please make sure you follow the departure instructions and leave the keys back in the lockbox. If keys are not left in the requested spot, a $150 fee will be charged. 3. A starter pack of amenities and toilet paper (once these are used up, the guest will need to purchase more), and the exit clean. Should you require a mid-stay clean or additional linen, there will be an additional charge. Please message us through Airbnb for a quote. 4. Please be mindful of your neighbours and keep noise to a minimum between 9pm - 8:00am. We have a strict no event/party policy to ensure we have an ongoing positive relationship with our neighbours. 5. Please confirm the accurate number of guests on your booking. If you intend to have extra guests stay or come to the property at any point during your stay, please send a message via Airbnb for our team to approve. 6. Maintenance Issues: We do our best to attend to all maintenance issues as and when we are notified during typical work hours. However, please note if you contact us over the weekend from Friday 4pm - Monday 10am we will not be able to organise a call out. We will still be contactable over this period for emergencies only. 7. Barbecue Cleaning (If Applicable): As per the terms and conditions, please ensure you clean the BBQ after use. A $70 charge will be deducted from your bond if the BBQ is found to be dirty. Thank you for understanding. 8. Late Check-outs: Please note that L'Abode Accommodation reserves the right to impose a late departure fee of $80 per hour for any guest who fails to vacate the premises by 10:00 AM without prior approval. Public Holidays Outside work hours (after 4:00 pm - before 9 am Monday-Friday) We will do our best to respond to all request of repairs within 24 hours and organise a tradesperson within work hours. We can't compensate any guests who request repairs/callouts during the above timeframes as it is very difficult to source tradespeople during the above-mentioned hours.
