Tucked away in the heart of Cape Town’s South Peninsula, The Boho Cave is a funky little escape designed for couples and digital nomads who want both comfort and character.

Inside, you’ll find a welcoming open-plan kitchen and lounge with a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for cozy nights in. The space flows onto a private deck with a built-in braai and your very own plunge pool – an ideal spot to relax after a beach day or sip wine under the stars.

The kitchen is kitted out with all the essentials: a medium fridge, Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, portable induction stovetop, and a mini oven/air fryer combo. Whether it’s a quick coffee or a full meal, you’re sorted. In the lounge, enjoy a Smart TV with Netflix & YouTube plus fast, reliable Wi-Fi backed up by a UPS, keeping you connected during load-shedding.

Downstairs, the cave-style bedroom with ambient lighting offers a calm retreat, featuring built-in cupboards, a queen-sized bed (with electric blanket in winter) with crisp cotton linen, plush towels, and an ensuite bathroom with a large shower.

Guest access
You have the entire guest suite to yourself which includes a private entrance and a private deck/pool area. There is off-street parking for one vehicle.

Please remember we do live in a neighborhood: a stay at Welcome Glen Mountain Gem is a stay with the locals. We request that you please respect the quiet nature of the area: no loud music and shouting after 11pm on the weekends (Friday / Saturday) and after 9pm in the week (Sunday - Thursday). Your cooperation in the matter would be greatly appreciated. We also have another unit on the same level as your lounge area so please keep music and the TV to a respectable level.

Your rate includes the following:
- 1 bag of wood for the braai area or for the fireplace
- a couple of firestarters
- a pack of blitz
- a small milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper.

(Please note due to the self catering nature of this property, amenities will not be replenished during your stay. You are welcome to purchase should you run out.)

Due to the nature of the construction of the building, it can get loud when the rain POURS down. Normal gentle rain is not too loud. Earplugs can be provided if you find the noise too intrusive.

Due to the nature of the area (mountain), we do have baboons and other wild animals come down from time to time. This does set the neighbourhood dogs off but we do have a tight network in the community and we do communicate to owners if the dogs get out of hand.

I had a wonderful stay at Laurette’s place. The location is ideal, with shops close by and beautiful natural surroundings that make it feel peaceful and refreshing. The unit is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need, and it’s clear Laurette has gone out of her way to make it comfortable. The pool is stunning and adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Laurette and her family are amazing hosts who make you feel right at home. Thank you, Laurette, I’d love to come back soon!

Laurette is very accommodating, communicative, and helpful. The Cave is so cozy, and a great place to spend time in Welcome Glen. We absolutely loved the Braii and pool especially on hot days. Definitely recommend.

Laurette's a lovely host and super helpful and responsive. I would recommend this more for couples and people who have a lot of activities planned. Well the place was lovely and unique, it's not well suited to remote workers, some small things, the wifi lagged and the furniture was uncomfortable.

This information is stored in compliance with POPIA and will only be used for the purpose of your reservation. It’s all available in one link that will be sent in the confirmation message. No downloads required. If you are booking on behalf of another guest, you confirm that you are taking responsibility for said guest and you will be held liable for any damages caused by or theft from the guest. You will be required, on the above confirmation process, to upload the ID verification of the guest that will be staying as well as yours. Absolutely no smoking allowed in the apartment: Should the smell of smoke be detected during the check out clean, you will be fined an additional cleaning fee of R500.00 No noise / parties without exception: Should we receive a complaint, we will communicate with you but upon receiving a 2nd complaint, you will be asked to leave and a refund will not be issued. No pets allowed: Should an unauthorised pet be detected, you will be fined R500 and asked to leave the property and no refund will be issued. No overnight guests: only the number of guests that have been booked for are authorised to sleep at the property. Additional guests will be charged R1000 per person per night. The extraction system in the bathroom MUST be used when taking a shower to allow airflow in the apartment. This is a cave style bedroom which means it is "underground" and ventilation is vital. Should you check out and it is evident that you did NOT use the extraction, an additional cleaning fee of R500 will be charged for the cleaning.

Deposit Policy
Security deposit of 50% is payable.

Please refer to our Terms & conditions. By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read and understood our terms and conditions.
Please note a booking is not confirmed or secured until the deposit requirement of 50% has been paid in full. We reserves the right, without notice to the Company / Agent / Guest / Group, to release any booking held where the required deposit has not been paid in full within the stated period.
Should we receive confirmed bookings against provisional bookings, we do reserve the right to contact you to request releasing of the booking and will require a response within 24 hours or the bookings will be automatically released.

A reservation will be held on a provisional basis for 24 hours from the time of booking. The Company / Agent / Guest is required to release provisional bookings in writing by e- mail.

Cancelations
All booking cancellations must be received by email. No show or early departure forfeits 100% of total stay.
Cancellations 14 days or less prior forfeit 75% of total stay.
Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior forfeit 50% of total stay.
Cancellations in excess of 30 days prior will incur a 10% administration fee to cover banking and handling charges.
Please note that we do consider a cancellation on merit: if it is truly beyond the guests’ control, we will charge accordingly.
