Laurette's a lovely host and super helpful and responsive. I would recommend this more for couples and people who have a lot of activities planned. Well the place was lovely and unique, it's not well suited to remote workers, some small things, the wifi lagged and the furniture was uncomfortable.

The perfect tranquil home away from home, hidden in the mountains, close enough from the hustle but far enough to enjoy the natural beauty of Cape Town. Laurette was an incredible host! So friendly and beyond helpful, made me feel right at home and so incredibly safe. A beautiful cozy designed space, perfect for summer or winter, alone or with company! Just honestly a divine stay all round and the perfect getaway that feels just like home! Xxxx

Laurette was very helpful and responsive. She helped with queries and was always approachable and friendly. I was made to feel welcome with nice personalised touches to that end. Laurette was discreet and professional throughout. Would recommend.

Had a wonderful stay at Laurette’s place! Laurette and her husband were both incredibly kind, helpful and responsive throughout the course of our stay and the space was truly a gem. Lovely pool, great location in a quiet neighborhood and the instructions that come along with the booking (check-in pictures, along with little notes around the house) were all incredibly helpful. Major bonus points for Tigger the cat coming to visit for a midnight cuddle!

Without exaggeration, I can say that this was our best Airbnb experience. and here's why: a calm, safe area, located in the mountains near Simon's Town, a cozy home, cleanliness. We are absolutely delighted with the owners of the house - Ryan and Laurette, wonderful people. Laurette was always available when we needed anything. At the first day of arrival we got a gift box with some delights and wine. I would never have thought that it was possible to live so cool outside of Cape Town. We used a taxi and a rented car. We also really fell in love with the red cat Tiger who came to our window and spent the day with us ♥️

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It has lovely little pool and braai area. The bedroom is very inviting and was a lovely little get away for me and my husband. The surrounding area has lots to do we will definitely book again! Extremely lovely hosts and communication was fantastic!

I stayed with Laurette and Ryan for just over two weeks, as a little thesis-writing getaway. It was in the middle of winter but I kept incredibly cosy with the fire place and heated blanket. It also had all the necessary amnesties I needed for a comfortable stay, including a wifi inverter, which meant I could keep working even when loadshedding hit. The place has its own entrance which felt private, but knowing Ryan and Laurette were in the main house made me feel incredibly safe. They are very gracious and friendly hosts, and made me feel incredibly welcome. Laurette was very responsive over the airbnb app and helped with anything as needed - including providing a second desk for when my boyfriend came to visit. I highly recommend this stay for remote workers who would like to be tucked away in the mountains, in a highly productive space. I’ll definitely be back should I need to escape for work again!

I stay 5weeks In the flat , and for me was the best Airbnb I have during all my stay in South Africa. Laurette and Ryan are so friendly and helpful, and Glencairn is very beautiful, calm and relax. don’t hesitate :)

We enjoyed our time at The Cave so much. We were completely left to ourselves but also loved our interactions with Ryan and Laurette, who were both so friendly and funny and helpful. The apartment was clean and so beautifully decorated. So many lovely little touches everywhere. The gas stove and air fryer made cooking between loadshedding so easy, and the wifi was never interrupted which allowed us to continue working without any issue. The pool and outdoor space was so lovely, especially on a hot day. The best part for us was the "cave" bedroom downstairs with its beautiful twinkle lights and the stunning bathroom. It was our sanctuary to retreat to after a long day. We felt tucked away and cosy and just loved it. We would have stayed longer if we could have. We are happy to recommend this place to anyone considering.

We had the most beautiful 6 days stay at Ryan and Laurette's lovely apartment. Our hosts were always available for any questions or help we needed. The place itself is such a special little gem and equipped with everything we needed. Laurette and Ryan truly deserve the Superhosts status - that is exactly what they are! From the moment I arrived they were nothing but welcoming, humble, kind and accommodating. I stayed at The Boho Cave for about a month and they were both just so easy going, responsive, and happy to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The Boho Cave is great with a private pool deck & BBQ with easy indoor/outdoor flow, indoor fireplace, well equipped lounge/kitchen with great lighting, smart TV, a very spacious en-suite bedroom downstairs with lovely lights, lots of cupboard space and my favourite part was the big shower with perfect water pressure. The bedroom is also nice and cool in the Summer days. Lots of lovely special touches, great WiFi and great hosts make the The Boho Cave the perfect base to enjoy Cape Town and the nearby attractions.

We stayed at The Cave for a week and enjoyed it most of the time. The air bnb is a part of the house - up stairs + a renovated garage which is downstairs and has only two small windows and no extraction for steam from the shower. Because of that the bedroom area is very damp and the ceiling is mouldy. The neighbourhood is nice/safe but there are a few very loud dogs that love barking which can be a bit annoying if you are reading a book or trying to study. The cave also has a very nice fireplace inside which does make it very cozy on a rainy day. Also no microwave. The communication from the host was great and they were very hospitable people.

Incredible apartment in an incredible part of the Peninsula, with incredible hosts! Welcome Glen is such a treat, it's quiet and peaceful. The cave has all one would need and I really loved the fire place - it works very well. I can highly recommend staying there!

If your looking for a peaceful, yet entertaining home away from your home, with everything that is of convenience to whatever background you might be coming from, try the Boho Cave, hosted by Laurette and Ryan, l bet you, it's it's worth a while. The private pool is a definite show stopper, l would definitely advocate for that; anytime, any day!

The Boho Cave is decorated in a very tasteful way and has everything (and more) you’ll need for your stay. It is very spacious and we felt very happy to stay there. Ryan is very chilled and flexibel in any matter. He didn’t pressure us with the check-in/out time and was always available for questions or recommendations. Ryan and Laurette are amazing host. They help us with everything we needed and were always around to help. Ryan took us on a snorkeling tour with his lovely daughter Arya. They welcomed us at their place for drinks and dinner and we got along very good. If you feel spending time on your own though, the apartment has its own entrance and you have all the privacy you need. But if you’re searching to get in touch with locals this is absolutely the right place. After our stay we feel that Ryan and Laurette are more than our host, they actually became friends and we would definitely return to this Airbnb.

Laurette & Ryan have to be up there as one of the kindest of hosts I have ever experienced. This location was our private area, with its own pool and all the facilities that we could use and need. I was remote working and I couldn't ask for a more ideal setting. There are so many positives to this place including the bathroom, pool, bedroom (with cute lights), living room, smart TV (where we could watch a bit of Netflix), kitchen facilities, and amazing wifi. The house is ideal geographically, as once you get down the hill on the right side you have Simon's town (Penguins if you are interested) and left a whole bunch of small towns like Fish Hoek & Kalk Bay (Really good places to eat and have a walk)

Me and my girlfriend had a lot of airbnb experiences during our years of traveling and we must say that this is the best experience we had so far. We stayed in The Cave for almost a month and worked remotely during the whole stay without any problems. Ryan & Laurette are true professionals and genuinely nice people which exceeded our expectations time after time. The Cave has everything you need for a pleasant stay and Welcome Glens is great located if you want to explore Cape Town. Do yourself a favor and book this place! You wont be disappointed.
