We've done birthdays, anniversaries and even a cute proposal.Nestled on the mountain in Simon's Town, this picturesque 2-bedroom home boasts breath-taking views of the vast False Bay and bustling Simons Town harbour. The open-plan design seamlessly blends a spacious living area with a fully-equipped, modern kitchen, creating the perfect environment for intimate dinners and hearty conversations.
We have recently restored the beautiful Victorian fireplace in the lounge and added an additional cast iron fireplace near the bedrooms to assist in heating them up to.
Step out onto the patio to indulge in al fresco dining with the sea breeze lightly caressing your face, the ambience set perfectly for those delightful evenings. Imagine hosting an intimate dinner party under the stars, with the shimmering harbour lights in the distance and the gentle murmurs of the ocean creating the perfect soundtrack for your evening. Cosy up on the large couches with a glass of red in front of the newly restored fireplace: the perfect way to spend a winters day! Watch the whales frolick in the bay: Whale season starts around July.
Each bedroom is a haven of comfort, boasting luxurious beds and their own ensuite bathrooms with showers. An additional elegant bathroom, featuring a classic Victorian bath, invites you to unwind and soak away your worries.
The primary bedroom boasts a King bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds pushed together with a queen topper. Should you want the beds separate, please let us know upon booking.
Located a mere 5-minute drive from the heart of Simon's Town and 15 minutes from the trendy Kalk Bay, this home is the ideal base for your South Peninsula escapades. Give your family a precious opportunity to reconnect with loved ones over fun-filled board game nights. A very nice, family friendly beach, LongBeach in Simons Town is a mere 3 minute drive from the property. There is a lovely seaside Cafe servings sarmies, coffee, juice etc. What makes this beach so family friendly is that it's nestled into the bay and rarely gets waves. Grab your buckets and spades and head on down for a lovely beach day! Don't forget your sunblock!
There is a Xiaomi TV Box with access to Netflix, Youtube etc - please note you must sign in with your account to the relevant channels.
The property has a gas grill for use on the patio.
Our apartment is set on the edge of a beautiful wildlife reserve, so you may occasionally spot some of the local visitors — including baboons who wander down from the mountain. They’re curious, not dangerous, and will happily move along if left undisturbed. We’re fortunate to have a fantastic baboon ranger team who walks with them guides them back up the mountain. For your comfort, we simply recommend keeping doors and windows closed when you’re not in the room or apartment, and avoiding interaction with them.

Please note the following:
the area is a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by nature and as such we have to request that you please respect the neighbours. No loud music and shouting after 11pm on weekends and 9pm in the week would be greatly appreciated.
Important: Admin is boring so we are sorry about this but to remain compliant, we do require that guests complete a pre-checkin which includes uploading your Identity document / passport, verify with a selfie and sign our terms and conditions. This information is stored in compliance with POPIA and is done through Truvi. They will contact you separately. Thank you for your understanding.
Guest access
Guests have access to the upper level of the home with the exception of one small office that is locked for owner possessions. There is a small nook with secretary desk available for those who need to work.Other things to note
- Street parking in front of the property with a very active Neighbourhood Watch and security.- The Victorian Fireplace is very precious and there are special instructions when lighting it up. We request that you pleaes respect the history of this home and it's amenities and use according to instructions and always with the firescreen.
- There are baboons in the area and some of the windows are covered with baboon proof bars. Please note that you need to keep the doors and windows closed when you are not in the house or near vicinity. Baboons are sneaky and they will get in.
- the deck area from the primary bedroom has large planter boxes and lovely plants to act as a barrier against a drop off. Caution is still advised please and no children must be left unattended in this area.
- There are stairs that have been fitted with a small safety gate: no access is allowed beyond this gate. Thanks you

The apartment is an absolute dream. It is only important that you read the guide well and do not forget to deactivate the alarm system. That's what happened to us on arrival. The fact is, however, that the alarm works perfectly😂. The view is incredibly beautiful, you drive 3 minutes to the next mall and it is still secluded enough that you have it very quiet. In addition, the apartment is completely cleaned once a week. All in all, perfect🙂.

From the moment we walked into the place, we felt as if we were home. The pictures do not do this property justice. Luv the hardwood floors, comfy couches in the main living area, and the view from the patio and bedroom are incredible. A very unique property !! We will be returning! Thank you for an incredible stay :)

Additional rules
Admin is boring so we are sorry for this however, we do have a regulatory requirement in South Africa which requires us to have a “Record of Guest”. We have opted to do this through Truvi in order that the process be super easy for you and that your personal information is stored and protected in a secure manner. You will receive an email or sms from Truvi directly. If you are booking on behalf of another guest, you confirm that you are taking responsibility for said guest and you will be held liable for any damages caused by or theft from the guest. You will be required, on the above confirmation process, to upload the ID verification of the guest that will be staying as well as yours. Please use the fire screen at all times when using the Victorian Fireplace. If we find that you were negligent during the use of the fireplace, you will be held responsible and any and all costs will be billed back to you for the repair and restoration of the fireplace or house. Absolutely no smoking allowed in the apartment: Should the smell of smoke be detected during the check out clean, you will be fined an additional cleaning fee of R500.00 No noise / parties without exception: Should we receive a complaint, we will communicate with you but upon receiving a 2nd complaint, you will be asked to leave and a refund will not be issued. No illegal substances are allowed on the premises. Should there be a suspicion of such substances being consumed, security / police will be called and if found to be in possession of such substances, you will be escorted off the property and no refund will be issued. No pets allowed: Should an unauthorised pet be detected, you will be fined R500 and asked to leave the property and no refund will be issued. No overnight guests: only the number of guests that have been booked for are authorised to sleep at the property. Additional guests will be charged R1000 per person per night. We respectfully ask that you do not eat or drink in the bedrooms, or move the furniture around excessively. Should any damages be found, a damage claim will be put through to Airbnb for your account. Please take care of the keys: lost keys will incur a R500 fine. - Throw rubbish away

Deposit PolicySecurity deposit of 50% is payable.
Please refer to our Terms & conditions. By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read and understood our terms and conditions.
Please note a booking is not confirmed or secured until the deposit requirement of 50% has been paid in full. We reserves the right, without notice to the Company / Agent / Guest / Group, to release any booking held where the required deposit has not been paid in full within the stated period.
Should we receive confirmed bookings against provisional bookings, we do reserve the right to contact you to request releasing of the booking and will require a response within 24 hours or the bookings will be automatically released.
A reservation will be held on a provisional basis for 24 hours from the time of booking. The Company / Agent / Guest is required to release provisional bookings in writing by e- mail.
Cancelations
All booking cancellations must be received by email. No show or early departure forfeits 100% of total stay.
Cancellations 14 days or less prior forfeit 75% of total stay.
Cancellations 15 to 30 days prior forfeit 50% of total stay.
Cancellations in excess of 30 days prior will incur a 10% administration fee to cover banking and handling charges.
Please note that we do consider a cancellation on merit: if it is truly beyond the guests’ control, we will charge accordingly.
