We truly enjoyed our stay here! The apartment is in a fantastic location, and the pictures are accurate. The tall windows let in plenty of sunlight—a real treat on winter days. The shower was amazing, and the heating worked wonderfully, keeping the space cozy. It's the perfect size for two people, though the three bedrooms are a nice bonus. That said, a few areas need improvement. A more comfortable couch would make the living room more inviting, and the glass table, while stylish, felt like a fall hazard. The main bedroom was comfortable, but the kitchen was poorly stocked—only salt, pepper, and a couple of teabags. We had to buy a pot as only one was provided, and the sink leaked on our last evening. The biggest concern was the digital door lock, which sometimes malfunctioned, making it difficult to exit quickly. These issues didn’t overshadow our stay, but they’re worth addressing. Fixing them would elevate this lovely apartment to the next level.

I stayed in Ralph's flat for two weeks. It was fantastic! The location is hard to beat. A few steps from the metro. A grocery store around the corner. Plenty of cafe and restaurant options within one street. The place is very spacious and had everything I needed for a good stay. The hosts communicated very well. And the weekly cleaning crew was a nice bonus! Recommmend.

Worn apartment with worn and somewhat old dirty furniture complemented by the cheapest Ikea furniture. I recommend staying max 3 days and paying max 200 EUR per night. More isn't worth it. The shower is full of limescale, all the holes are blocked. All shower seals are broken and dirty. It makes the shower look very dirty. The chair cushions are dirty. The living room carpet is very dirty. There is a lot of dust on all the lamps. The two interior rooms are dark and overlook the noisy stairwell with the old elevator. Didn't sleep well in any of the 3 rooms. Well, we survived but it's not cheap camping. It's the gap between price and quality that hurts. Glad to be back home.

We very much enjoyed our stay, and would be delighted to return. Location was ideal, just a 1/2 block from the subway and right near a Turris bakery (their crispy braided pastry with chocolate-dipped ends is dreamy). It was easy to pick up basic groceries nearby, so we made good use of the kitchen for breakfasts and some simple dinners (fresh bread from T, veggies & fruit from the produce store across the street, goat cheese from a market...) The washer and dryer came in handy too! As with other Airbnbs, when you arrive check to see if the supplies you need are there such as if you prefer shampoo over all-purpose shower gell (I'm going to suggest that they provide more supplies, but nothing major was lacking). All went smoothly, the building and neighborhood felt safe, and it was quite a pleasant place.

Excellent apartment, fully equipped (from dishwasher, dryer, hair dryer or iron). Just like in the photos. Excellent location, with a subway stop at the gate, and connected to downtown, which you can go for a nice walk. Quiet place, with bars, bakeries, supermarket and places to dine or eat on the same street. Perfect attention for the property (I had a serious mishap in one of the bathrooms and 15 minutes after talking on the phone, there was already a guy in the apartment to fix it). Close to all the typical places of Barcelona, but no noise from cars at night, or neighbors. Place to come back, no question.

We had a great time in Barcelona. The apartment is in a good location, 2 minute walk to the metro and lots of super mercados, bakeries and cafes nearby. The apartment is on the 5th floor and the old lift is very interesting, the apartment was very clean and quiet at night.

Had a wonderful stay at Ralph's place. Great location with the Metro, supermarket, pharmacy and fruit store right outside, as well as being not a far walk from local restaurants and sites to see. Communication was very friendly and responsive the entire stay and we felt very at home. Would highly recommend!

Best part is that this apartment is close to metro station and with Hola! Barcelona transit ticket you can easily travel to anywhere you want in the city by public transport and never need to take a taxi or uber. Host was friendly and fast to respond when we had problems. One thing that can improve is the airconditioning of this apartment. We complained the first night of ineffective cooling and the host came to clean the filters. Afterwards the aircon was a little better, but it was not sufficient to cool the apartment. A single small unit in the living room/kitchen and only fans in the rooms. The ac unit could not even really cool the living room more than 2 or 3 degrees. But, other than the heat, the apartment was good value and at a good location if you want to explore the city. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around that stay open late if you get back after dark.

We enjoyed our stay with Ralph in Barcelona - the apartment is great value for money particularly so close to the centre of town - 2 stops on Metro to Pl Catalunya and close to Montjuic. The apartment is comfortable, spacious for 4 and quiet - the A/C was a huge benefit in the July heat. We felt very much at ease in the neighbourhood and there was a huge range of food shops ( open till late and on Sunday), restaurants and bars right on the doorstep including a great fruit shop at the front door of the block. Ralph's team were great and were able to organise us an early check-in on arrival - we would have no hesitation to recommend Ralph's flat for a stay in central Barcelona.

Very well located, you can walk to several places and the Metro is right on the corner. Quite spacious and comfortable to be able to rest very well. We had a problem with check-in, as we couldn't get in at 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm because it wasn't cleaned before. We recommend staying on site.

The stay was generally grateful. The apartment is a few meters from the metro and a small walk from Plaza de España so communication in transport is very simple. The only problem we found is that there were some utensils on the floor with lack of cleanliness and at night you can hear a lot of noise from both the outside and the rest.

Nice location, surrounding facilities.Downstairs is the flower shop, fruit shop. Across the street is the butcher shop. There is a supermarket in the annex. 5 minutes on foot. Greeting staff is friendly.The subway station is also a few minutes away.Nearby attractions is a magical fountain and the Catalonia Museum.Some tips for hosts are: kitchen utensils need to be replenished, please check if you need to replace what you have, especially kettle and pans.I don't think I would continue to use things like this if it's my own home.And the tea table, this transparent tea table is a safety concern here, and each of us has collided a few times.

I loved the apartment: spacious, very clean, very well lit, cool, very close to everything, the metro a few steps away, buses nearby and if you want to walk to learn about the history of Barcelona and its main monuments, it is an excellent option. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is very ventilated, it has some balconies from where you can see the city. If you want to prepare your breakfast or dinner, you have very close places to do your grocery and fruit shopping at a good price. The location is 10 points too. our stay was the best. We'll be back, of course.

We had a great time at Ralph's apartment! Clean, very well located right next to an important metro line, Rambla within walking distance. Shops just below. The apartment is spacious, bedding is good and extra towels are available in every water area (S de B and toilet). We just wish we had some coffee for the 1st morning (I had Senseo pods, it was Nespresso!) and shower gel. For the rest, everything is there (sponge, garbage bag, laundry detergent...). The shower curtain is not a very hygienic protection, it's the only downside. I highly recommend it.

Check in guy was 10 min late. He didn’t show us where the washing machine was. There was no laundry soap. No coffee pods. No paper towels. Very few cooking utensils or seasonings. No sugar. The street was loud. There was an assault right outside the bedroom window. Definitely not a five star experience.

We were two adults and a teenager staying for 3 nights. Modern and functional appartment with plenty of bedrooms, cozy living-room, good WiFi, life-saving AC (at least during heat-wave), breakfast balcony and well-funtioning bathrooms. Metro-station and super-market are very close by along with other shops and restaurants. Ralph (the host) is easy to communicate with and responds quickly to questions, etc. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely come again!

We had a wonderful three days in this apartment. It was extremely hot and the AC was working overtime to keep us cool but there are fans in each bedroom which really helped. We had no problems with noise. Very close to the Rocafort metro station and so easy to get anywhere in the city from there. It's also really convenient to get around by taxi from there - plenty of them and very inexpensive. Lots of great places to eat nearby. I recommend La Carla for a high quality dinner. We requested an early check-in and someone came to meet us there, we really appreciated that.

Great apartment in a fabulous location - well placed to walk to many attractions plus also 2 minute walk to metro line. We went out to pick up breakfast every day. There’s a grocer next door that sells the most delicious nectarines, amongst other fruit and veg. Across the road is a baker where you can pick up croissants and stop for a coffee too if you don’t want to make your own. There’s also plenty of places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. Apartment had everything we needed including really comfortable beds. Air conditioning in the main room was most needed for our stay as were the fans in the bedrooms. Would definitely recommend and would have no hesitation in staying again if we return to glorious Barcelona.

We stayed here for 10 days without the car and it was great! The public transportation was so convenient and one metro station was just a little walk across the street ( L1 red line Rocaford station). We bought 5 days metro passes in the station twice ( to cover our 10 days trip) to get on the metro trains and buses. We also went to Barcelona Sants train station by metro to get on high speed train to Salvador Dali museum in Figureres and took a local train to go to a seaside town called Sitges. We loved it. A fruit stand is right down stairs, several restaurants around which we enjoyed. There is a electronic store just two doors down to get plug converters if you are from USA like us. A great bakery called 365 cafe and a grocery store right next door are just half a block away. We went to the cafe for breakfast with fresh squeezed orange slush and bakeries. ( Their ham and cheese sandwich is the best.) We were there in early July and it was hot. One air condition in the flat which was ok. The rooms were a little warm for us but with the fans still acceptable. Cute decor throughout the flat. The shower water pressure was strong which was nice. We made a call at the airport and a lady met us downstairs to let us in and showed us around. We enjoyed living with the locals and have a taste of the city life. Overall we had a very nice stay and we appreciate it!

This apartment was truly a gem! We were so grateful the whole time we were there to have such a beautiful place to retreat back to in the heat of the day. There's an air conditioner in the main room and fans for every bedroom. We loved having the kitchen to have the option of making our own food during the stay. We came with our two young children and Ralph provided a nice big crib and soft mattress for our daughter. It was such a great apartment to stay in with children. The elevator was very helpful as well to get up and down with our stroller and luggage. It is very well located to the Metro and this Metro stop has an elevator which was helpful with the stroller. There were so many great places for dinner within a block or two. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio at night and watching the street below. You'd be lucky to stay here 😊

At night it's a bit noisy because the windows overlook the building's lung and the elevator and doors make a lot of noise. But the beds are comfortable and the heating works perfect. We had a wonderful stay at the center of Barcelona. The kitchen was wide enough to cook and all the bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. Ralph helped us whenever we had questions, even if it was a small one. Also the location couldn't be better. Subways and bus stations were nearby, and big supermarkets were located right next to the house. I definitely recommend others to stay here if you plan to visit barcelona.

It is a delightful apartment, tastefully furnished, the furniture and furnishings have been chosen with great care and attention. It is very comfortable, we are a family of 4 and the fact that the apartment had 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms was a reason for us to choose and we did not regret it! It also has a very nice balcony. The kitchen is very well equipped, with dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. The apartment is located in a strategic area of Barcelona; below the house is the Roquefort metro station of the red line. In addition, the area is very vital, without being excessively noisy; around it is full of small shops and small markets where you can possibly do a mini shopping. Ralf is very kind and very helpful One tip: maybe let the guest find a couple of bottles of water in the fridge when they arrive. It's always nice and doesn't force the guest, maybe at night and tired from the trip, to go out in search of water.

Great host with a great place... Place was perfect if u need to do a lil cooking and laundry, room and toilet is excellent and clean. Location is perfect. Airport bus is just a couple of blocks across the street and it's very frequent. Metro is just across the street. What more can you ask for. Do visit the market...Mercado de La Boqueria. And on a sunny day go for the cable car at Montjuïc Castle.

Ralph is a great host. We came with two children and were surprised to find a big authentic Barcelona apartment, with all equipment we need include washing machine and a dryer which was very helpful. The apartment is a bit far from the attraction in the city 20 min walk) but its very accessible thanks to the metro station that is located 2 min walk from it. Highly recommended!!! You will not be sorry

It was a perfect Stay, Pascal was great, he gave us all the tips we need. Willing to help. The only thing is that there was no AC. Even the AC in the living room was poor. We were provided with fans. If u like warm apartments it would be perfect. There is a good variety of restaurants around you, less than 5 mins walk. All on all it was a good stay 👌🏻

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Ralph provided excellent and timely info required to get us from the airport cheaply and efficiently via the aerobus. Plenty of food options nearby, and walkable to many attractions. We also made use of the washer and dryer located in one of the bedrooms, which was super handy. We were able to stash our bags at the apartment while it was still being cleaned, since we arrived earlier in the day. Check out was super simple. Very happy with our visit.

This is a perfect location at a much better price than you’ll find deeper into the city, while only being a very short walk and quick metro ride to anywhere you want to get to. The neighborhood is clean, safe, and picturesque. Ralph made check-in a breeze, and recommended a fantastic cafe that my group insisted on eating at every morning because it was so good! Could not have been more satisfied with the stay, would highly recommend!

Ralph was a great host, always happy to answer questions or help if we needed. The flat was spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable (especially the pillows!) and it was very useful to have a washing machine. Also as I needed to rest one day due to medical treatment it was amazing to have the dvd player and a selection of dvds. The area is a great location for getting around and is so close to the metro station. Like any flat within a block in a city, it can be a little noisy at night but obviously that's no fault of Ralph's and is to be expected for the convenient location. It did feel very safe though. We were aiming to eat healthy whilst there and our son is gluten and dairy free so we were delighted to find Copasetic just around the corner which caters well for him and has a very tasty, healthy menu.

Ralph is using Sol to manage his property, and she does a great job. She was there to greet us when we checked in and came to check us out. She showed us around the apartment, made sure the wifi worked with my laptop, answered questions and made us feel welcome. During our stay she was always available by phone or text. When we checked in, there were a couple of minor issues, and she sent a maintenance person right away. We made a few suggestions, and she said she'd pass them on to Ralph. He wants to make sure his guests enjoy their stay. Apartment is centrally located, and grocery store is less than 2 blocks away. Beds are comfortable. Stacking washer and dryer in the apartment. Lots of channels on the tv, most in Spanish, but a few are in English. I left a list of the ones I found in English. The mall at Placa Espanya (easy walk) has nice restaurants on the top and a large food court in the lower level. You can also catch the two hop-on-hop-off buses there.

A great place to stay for a trip to Barcelona! Very close to the organic market, public transportation and many local city attractions. Ralph and Piscal were VERY friendly and responsive both before and during our stay. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items and plenty of bathing towels. The bedrooms on the street side are a little noisy at night, but nothing ear plugs didn’t block out. Overall, a 5 star stay. I’d stay here again if traveling back to Barcelona!

It's in a convenient location with a 5 minute walk to placa espana and a 15 minute walk to the old city The metro is very close and so quick and easy if you don't want to walk to the old city. The apartment was comfortable for two of us. It was great to have a little balcony to eat on and watch passers by. It's on the 4th floor but has an old elevator. We would definitely stay here again.

Ralph's apartment is well located and has everything you are likely to need for your time in Barcelona. A stop for metro L1 (red) is at the end of the block. It is easy to get to wherever you wish to go. A supermarket is one block away. Bakeries, cafes and restaurants are on every corner. Everything you could possibly need in a kitchen is ready and waiting. The apartment is clean and a quiet spot to retreat after a busy day in the busy city. I did not meet Ralph but he checked in with me after my arrival. My check in was handled by Sol who was lovely to deal with - even when she had to come back to help me when I locked myself out. I ❤️Barcelona!

This apartment is in a great location and has everything you need for a great stay. The apartment is close to supermarkets, restaurants and 1 block from the Metro. I did not meet Ralph, but he checked on us through out our stay. Make sure you try the roof top bar on the corner. Also the coffee maker is awesome. I would stay here again.

Ralph is one of the best Airbnb host that I dealt with. He is attentive. He also went beyond expectation. Upon arrival, he realized that the hair dryer is missing and went to buy a new one within 5 mins. He also bought us new detergent for washing machine. When we realized that the prior tenant used the electric water kettle to cook food and ruin it, I texted him to notify the problem. We never expected that he sent someone from his office to brought over a new electric kettle( we could have just boil water through the pot). Ralph is an amazing host!

Ralph and his colleagues were very welcoming and available during the entire length of the stay, making the checkin and checkout very easy and proposing places to visit and go out. The flat is very similar to what you get in the pictures, it is nicely setup and well furnished, and is located in a nice area from where it is convenient to go around. Air conditioning is only in the living room hence it can get a bit hot at night in the bedrooms.

The apartment is beautiful and suitable for two to three people. The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of grocery shops very close by. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, which could probably do with a slightly more stable table. The shower works fine. We didn't use the a/c which is only in the living room. It was enough to open the windows. However: sleeping with open windows was great temperaturewise, but very noisy from the street in the bigger bedroom. There is a useful washer and a dryer in the small bedroom so you can travel light! The metro station Rocafort is a two minute walk away. When arriving from the airport you can take the R2 train to Sants using the cheap T10 ticket which you can also use for the metro in Barcelona, absolutely no need for the hola bcn card. From Sants it is a 10minute walk to the apartment. During the stay I would recommend renting bikes. We only did that at the end, unfortunately. It is a fun way to disover the city and easily gets you to some nicer beaches beyond Barceloneta. The metro was also useful and discovering on foot was lots of fun.

If you have not read our reviews before, please understand the following. We try to make available to those who follow us, information that we would like to have at our next rental. Maybe it will help fellow travelers with packing decisions. (What pans, what blankets, etc.) We try to state facts while not expressing criticizims. Ralph manages this rental apartment and others. This one is in a great location, steps from a Metro Station and important bus routes. During a Metro strike, we could easily walk the Barcelona's principal train station (Sants) for day trips out of the city. The neighborhood has several fruiterias and a couple of nice grocery stores. A excellent major multivendor public market (Hostafrancs) is less than 2 km distant. The apartment was airy so we did not have to use the a/c. The tv in the living room is modern and allowed us to connect our laptop to watch movies and some streaming content. The main bedroom is roomy with lots of closet space. We did not use the second bedroom. The kitchen came with plenty of dishes, utinsels, pots and pans. Unfortunately none of the pans had lids. If you want to steam rice, vegitables, or fish you should bring with you some means of covering these pans. We carry flat cooking disk like pans that we use for this. We have often found this lack of lids in AirBnB rentals. The refrigerator/freezer is large, modern and spacious. We were provided with coffee discs for the coffee maker and jam for our first breakfast. There is a dish washer, which we did not use, and an oven, which again we did not use. The shower is equiped with a thermostatic mixer that is designed to prevent scalding. It does this a bit too well. The shower was warm, but could not be adjusted to a temperature that we would have found comfortable. The shower curtain was too long for the shower so one had to be careful not to cover the drain. The apartment could use a “user manual”. We had to google search for manuals to locate the lint trap for the clothes dryer as well as it's moisture collection tank. This moisture tank is brilliant for an in city apartment, but is unknown in North America. The living room door overlooks the street and is usable as the source of ventilating air. The door can not be reliably closed. With some invention it is manageable during the Spring season. We have our doubts about the very warm or cold months. When it is upgraded we hope that provisions will be made for ventalation as well as insulation. The bedroom doors to the balcony have been upgraded to double glazed modern doors. These provide good heat, cold and sound insulation, but limited opportunity for ventilating. We found the double bed (US standards) very comfortable and had excellent sleep there. The Apartment was great - as described in a really nice area. The metro, restaurants, shops, bakery, fruit shop all within metres of the front door. We were welcomed to the flat early which was great as we arrived at 10.00am, there was even gifts for our daughter which was a lovely touch, and coffee fruit etc in the kitchen. You can walk to may attractions from the house but you feel like a local rather than a tourist which is lovely. El Bar and Casanova restaurants very close were lovely, and to pop to a bakery for fresh patisserie and then call for fresh strawberries in the morning was a treat. Whole process was easy and host provided lots of recommendations of restaurants and things to do with our child. Perfect

Apartment as pictured. We felt good there... A small review that is not negative but can be retained for the improvement of the accommodation: putting blackout curtains in the room because the shutters allow a lot of clarity to pass through. The penultimate the elevator broke down... a shame with the suitcases!!! But hey... it made us work the glutes and arms!!!! (laughs). The apartment is in a great location: a stone's throw from the metro to get to the center, and the Spanish square is very close to walk there. We found parking also a five minute walk for the car and not the most expensive compared to some, which is not insignificant in the holiday budget!!! The person who came to give us the keys at the entrance and pick them up at the exit was very kind. However, we did not meet Ralph... too bad!! We left delighted with our stay. Ralphs apartment was coordinated by a company, Enjoy Apartments. They made check-in and out a simple process and were kind enough to let us leave our luggage at their office upon check-out as our flight from Barcelona was not until late at night. The apartment is very conveniently located, with the metro at your door step. The apartment looks the same as the photos, although the second (smaller) room is slightly darker than the photos appear. All in all we were very happy with the apartment, and would stay again. A few things to note - the door can be tricky to open if you lock it from the outside. Ask Ralph upon your arrival for details. There's a great cafe nearby called El Mos, and don't miss the cheap juices at the Boqueria markets on La Rambla for €2.

Ralph's apartment was great, the location is a 5 minutes walk from plaza Espana and either a 20 minutes walk or 3 stops via metro to plaza Catalunya. The metro station is right below to the apartment so it is super easy to get by and the area itself is really nice and has some good restaurants and bars. The apartment is equipped with everything you might need, even a pizza slicer! :) Would definetly stay there again, thank you Ralph!

We had a very good stay in Barcelona. Although we didn't meet Ralph directly, he regularly checked for our news and made sure everything went well. The flat is well located. It's in a calm neighbourhood with all you need around (supermarket, 1 minute from the metro, 20 minutes walk from catalunya square). It is clean and well equiped.

I stayed in this apartment for 6 days with two other friends. Arriving in Barcelona we received a warm welcome from Ralph and, without too much difficulty, reached the accommodation (located 2 minutes from the metro station). The apartment is as shown in the photos, spacious, clean and bright. The beds are comfortable and, also thanks to the air conditioning, we slept comfortably without the heat. The kitchen has all the necessary appliances while for shopping you need to go to the supermarket that can be reached on foot from the apartment in a few minutes. Recommended for anyone looking for a central apartment without spending too much.

We appreciated Ralph's very fast response to our request for a booking within 12 hours. However, Ralph was not at the apartment to meet us and instead sent an assistant. The apartment is poorly furnished given the price being charged. We have stayed in many other apartments in Rome, Paris, etc and found this one lacking in value. The towels are old, dishes are a mish mash, there is no AC in the bedrooms, the master bedroom is noisy due to the street. The whole apartment electricity went off on the first night. I contacted Ralph by phone and email, but did not get a response for three hours. We solved the problem ourselves with help from neighbors. There was no dish washing soap and we ran out of toilet paper. The apartment is centrally located with most Barcelona sights within walking distance. There is a subway at the corner. Supermarkets, bakeries, fruit stores, banks, etc. are all very convenient. There was a safe in the apartment which were not allowed to use. The balcony doors do not lock securely. A significant upgrade to the apartment is needed in order to justify the pricing. We would not recommend this place to others.

The apartment was exactly how described, great location!! friendly host staff, and fantastic transport links! Would definitely recommend staying here, as tube station is a 1 minute walk away! The anytime check in and check out was a great bonus, we checked in at 9am and checked out at 5pm so we weren't stuck with our luggage. All in all perfect apartment to explore Barcelona!!

Very good communication with Ralph, even if we did not meet physically. Flat was very convenient, well equipped, very conveniently situated for going anywhere in the city. Metro station is at less than 100 meters, many stores around (grocery, minimarket, pastries, bread), even tapas at the corner ! I would recommend an excellent restaurant nearby (2 blocks away, 5 mins walk) named "Gat Blau" (check in Trip Advisor). We had a wonderful time !

My sister and I stayed at this great apartment. Ralph was very helpful and very fast with communication. Check-in and check-out was swift and easy and the apartment was wonderful; in a great location. One really positive thing is the WiFi was really fast and consistent; which was not always the case in Spain and helpful as we worked in the apartment.
