A homely, comfortable and clean cabin nestled in the breathtaking beauty of the Drakensberg range. It was an amazing experience to sit in the garden and take in all of the majesty around me. Truly memorable. A special mention to the owners, who went the extra mile to make sure I got there ok and checked in without a hitch. Their communication was the best I have come across on AirBnB. I wish I could have stayed much longer.

Over and above our expectation. Ever more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. From the moment before we arrived till the time we checked out, we felt welcome and at home. We extended our stay twice and cannot wait to visit them again. From the pet goat, nightly roaming dear, magnificent night stars display and the heart warming and sincere staff, all round the best break away we ever had.

This place was everything we expected it to be and more. We had miscalculated our check-in time but our host and staff were super flexible and welcomed us. The house that we stayed in was warm, extremely clean and backed up with an stunning view of the mountains. The staff that moved around the villa were so helpful. We were running low on gas for the stove, within an hour or two, they had brought a replacement ready to go for our convenience. My wife and I enjoyed our 3 nights here and we look forward to staying here again in the future. Thank you Sue and Mark for allowing us to stay here. Thank you to Aunt Flo who was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived right until we left.

Accomodation was great! I felt comfortable and at home. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cook. The queen sized bed is super comfortable. A fireplace and gas heater is provided - just make sure to bring your own wood and firelighters. The unit is situated in a fantastic location and the views of Champagne Castle from the veranda are breathtaking! Two downsides - the untimely automated messages from the booking agents I received after checking in and the JBL damage deposit - R400 non refundable which adds to the cost or R2500 refundable 7 days later - I wasn't prepared to have to wait for my funds to be returned a week later. I highly recommend and would return!

The Tack Room at Nyathi is the ideal space for a couple to experience the beauty and peace of the Drakensberg. The setting is magnificent with amazing views of the mountains and rolling green lawns. It is also situated close to the start of all the major trails of the Monks Cowl Berg area. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. The hosts were responsive and helpful and the housekeeper, Flo, was very friendly and efficient. We look forward to returning when next visit the Berg.

Place was absolutely gorgeous! The view was breath taking. We spent a lot of time just seated outside looking at the view. The entire place was well cleaned. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Loved that they supply a gas heater and fire place which was needed when it got a bit cold. The bed is super comfy and spacious. Susan was great at communicating if we needed assistance with anything. It was our first time visiting the Drakensburg and this place definitely made it a memorable experience!

We LOVE LOVE LOVED this place. The Tack Room was just perfect. Everything is tastefully designed and well thought out. The kitchen had everything you needed and more. The views were beautiful and the location was perfect - just 2kms away from walks in the mountains. There is a pub and restaurant down the road if you don't feel like cooking. The owners were staying in the main house at the time and were so friendly - inviting us over to sit by their fire pit. We had such a lovely time we wish we had stayed longer. The only negative I felt was the lack of space to put our suitcases. The room is very compact and has shelves, but thinking it might be better to get rid of them and put a large shelf to place a bag? Just a thought for an otherwise perfect room!

Nyathi Hideaway was surprisingly refreshing. Woke up to beautiful mountain scenery and the fact that the hideaway is separated with its own fence is marvellous. Waking up to birds chirping at night its peaceful also, definitely coming back.

It was an amazing experience at the stay , beautiful view , friendly and understanding host. Proactive response and active communication with recommendations and directions. The furniture were new and clean. Would love to visit the place again in another season with different views.
