The space

Sleeping arrangements
Six bedrooms provide space for up to nine guests. You will find four double beds, one king-size bed, and one queen-size bed, with each room featuring its own en-suite bathroom. Showers and bathtubs add comfort and privacy, while air conditioning keeps every space cool and restful.

Guest access
Guests at Zimbali Estate have access to all Zimbali amenities including the Championship 18 Hole Golf Course, the 3km stretch of private beach, the Valley of the Pools, tennis and squash courts, running trails and more. There are many exciting activities to partake in such as quad biking, surfing and scuba diving.

Damage Protection
This property is protected by Just Be Lekker (JBL), the travel reputation platform. Guests are required to have a R12,500 refundable security deposit hold placed on their card to gain access to the property. The guest will be sent a link by JBL to verify their booking.

Please note that a R47 service fee will be charged by JBL for guests choosing the refundable security deposit. This fee covers the cost of verifying the booking and ensuring the property's protection. Just Be Lekker aims to provide a secure and reliable booking experience for all guests.

While the security deposit will be processed 1 day before check-in, we advise you to complete the JBL verification process as soon as possible to avoid any complications with your booking.

Zimbali Booking Policy (IMPORTANT)

Only registered guests are permitted. No visitors, parties, or entertaining of non-registered guests is allowed.

No last-minute or same-day bookings allowed.

All forms and ID copies must be submitted by 12pm the day before check-in for access approval.

Late submissions or changes will only be processed the following day, resulting in delays.

Any booking form changes after 12pm will incur a R350 penalty.

No service providers (chefs, masseuses, decorators, beauty technicians) permitted.

Accommodation is for short-term residential stays only, not events or commercial use.

The estate’s shared beach is non-swimming and surfing is not permitted.

Some resident-only facilities, such as the fitness centre, are not available to rental guests.

Late check-in fees apply: after 7pm (Sat–Thu) or 10pm (Fri), R750 will be charged.

Zimbali Uber/Taxi Rules

Ubers/Taxis are NOT permitted to transport guests around the estate. Guests without cars should rent a car or golf cart.

Ubers/Taxis may only be used for drop-off and collection (codes available 8am–4pm only).

Codes expiring after midnight may result in restricted access until the next day.

Guests are liable for any fines incurred by their Uber/Taxi drivers.

Food delivery services (Uber Eats, takeaways) must be collected outside the estate. No delivery access codes will be issued.

Great venue. Beautiful location and great service. The only problem was Zimbali’s security was incredibly rude and uneducated on procedures when entering and exiting the estate

Great stay for large group. All bedroom areas were private & had own bathrooms. Views are beautiful and tranquil and Zimbali facilities are wonderful and spread out over the estate, making them not crowded. The house layout is interesting - entertainment areas feel a little disjointed, but it all worked fine once we got used to it. We had 1 person with a wheelchair and he could use the main level with no issues, just a small step in and out the house. The house was clean and Christine was lovely. The decor is a little dated, but still comfortable. Beds were also very comfortable. We would happily stay again.

Good spacious house. Wifi signal is not throughout the house. Getting in and out of Zimbali with lots of guests is difficult due to the security protocols (no fault of the host)

Zimbali Estate has uncompromising ACCESS CONTROL POLICIES which are very important to understand before making a booking: *No VISITORS are allowed (only registered guests on the booking form that have produced IDs as per the Zimbali check-in procedure will be provided with access onto the estate). *The maximum occupancy of the home must be adhered to - this includes all persons on the guest list over 1 years of age. *No last minute or same day bookings allowed. *New bookings can be accepted by latest 12pm the day prior to check-in and are conditional on the booking form being completed and sent back to us immediately to avoid access onto the estate being delayed or denied. *All forms must be submitted to us by latest 12pm the day prior to check-in with all the correct information along with ID copies of all guests 16 years and older in order to gain ACCESS onto the estate. Guests under 16 years of age must be listed on the booking form with birth dates. * All documentation and processes must be completed and submitted before 12 pm the day prior to check-in. Failure to do so will result in a late penalty fee of R350 *It is mandatory to complete all details for persons / vehicles entering the estate, all drivers will be biometrically registered. *All passengers over 16 years old will be registered on portable scanners. *Access of all passengers will be checked on each and every entry into the estate. No passenger will be allowed access into the estate without biometric registration. *Late form submissions, late additions and/or late changes to a booking (after 12pm the day prior to check-in) will ONLY be processed the following day and guests will need to wait at least 24 hours from this point before they are able to check-in, resulting in access being delayed. *Any changes to the booking form will attract a late penalty of R350 per change. *No servitors are allowed, including but not limited to chefs, masseuses, decorators and beauty technicians. *The accommodation is for short-term residential rentals only.
