Had a wonderful holiday - loved the apartment and area. Really appreciated an early check and the personalised, friendly welcome. Great apartment-spacious, spotlessly clean , well equipped and furnished. Parking readily available. Enjoyed the pool. Only few minutes from an excellent supermarket and the marina area with many restaurants and bars. Short ( fifteen minute) walk to Lagos old town - beautiful area to wander with great atmosphere and vast range of restaurants , cafes, bars and shops. We also enjoyed the beautiful local beaches, walking the boardwalk to Ponta da Piedade and boat trips to the Benagil Cave and Ponta da Piedade.

We stayed for 4 weeks and can’t speak highly enough of the apartment and hosts. It literally felt like a home from home. Communication from the hosts was amazing. Made us feel right at home quickly. Took the stress out of travelling on our daughters first holiday to somewhere we hadn’t been before. They were so accommodating with every request even ordering some items from a website on our behalf to help make our stay easier. Apartment is in the perfect location. Cafes and restaurants in Marina are brilliant, with old town an easy 15 minutes walk away. Supermarket across the road was perfect for dinner ideas when we weren’t eating out too. Beach 15 minutes walk away. Train station for day trips to Portimao etc. was 10 minutes walk. Pool area clean and beautifully maintained by staff. Apartment has recently been updated with a new floor which makes it feel lighter and brighter. View into the Marina is wonderful when sitting on the balcony at night. We literally couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Wifi was good enough to stream TV and host video calls for work. Shower water pressure was excellent, dishwasher and washing machine also extremely useful. We cooked a lot and everything was easy to use. Area feels extremely safe when walking to and from the apartment too. Thank you for a perfect trip. Hope to see you again soon.

Least: - No flexibility on check-in time after 4pm; - When we arrive, no garbage bags (none even installed in the kitchen). No basic ingredients except salt for cooking. We would still have expected a minimum. The listing also mentions “all cooking essentials including oil” but there wasn't. In the perspective where you only think to go to the restaurant, this point is not worth 🙂 otherwise, it's poorly equipped enough to think about cooking; - Rooms are very illuminated in the morning and overlook a busy street (car noises and sirens at night). In short, if you have a deep sleep it will be ok for you; - the listing says "crib" but it is for a fee (€5 per day). For the high chair offered, we've never seen it. - the rules on site are very strict: no ball game and no chair booking on the grounds under penalty of eviction. Yet this is what everyone does; Plus: - Skating for children; - Proximity to Lagos (15 min walk) - Proximity to Meia Praia (15 min walk); - Close to other beaches by car as well (5-10 min. by car); - Opposite a big supermarket, really convenient; - Top floor so no one walking on your head. In summary, we would consider returning to the same location given the positives of it, but not necessarily this condo. It wasn't equipped to cook at all, which unfortunately we needed with a young child!
