The apartment is as described in the photos. There are kitchen items missing, such as a knife and wine glasses (which I bought and left as a gift), but the item that has the biggest impact is the air conditioning, which is installed in the living room/kitchen and cannot cool the bedroom, so we were hot on many nights.

I don't recommend this apartment. It gave us a feeling of total insecurity. There were always people sitting on the floor of the building. Getting in was chaos; the lock wasn't working. The host blamed us, saying that we should have entered with the key and not with the wireless lock (while the key was inside the flat that we had never been able to enter!!!!!) and they replied by telling us to ring a neighbour's doorbell so that they could come down and open the door for us. Completely clueless. The Wi-Fi wasn't connected (we were without Internet for over 20 hours). The neighbourhood isn't bad and is very well connected to the centre of Madrid. However, it's right on a square that's very ugly. If you're a woman, I'd avoid this place.

Thank you for the stay! The place was small, but had all we needed and what was advertised. What we liked a lot: - The location - everything is within walking distance (it might look sketchy in the evenings / night, but we never felt unsafe). - Has 24/7 carrefour shop open 1min away, Lavapies metro stop 30s away. - They can provide a travel cot for baby! - Has elevator! Few things to note: - Sometimes we had issues with the wifi - it was unstable/loosing connection when having video calls. - The apartment had a funny smell, and even ventilation with windows open didn't help, so might be an issue for some sensitive people. For was it was something we could live with. - It's an old building, so you can hear your neighbours coming back home from the staircase and the isolation is not perfect. But no issues to sleep as the bedroom is not facing the street. - The pans and pots are old - in case you are planning to cook you might be disappointed. But has all needed cutlery etc.

The apartment is in a convenient location with easy access to pharmacies, supermarkets, and the metro. The apartment was clean and all necessary amenities were provided. However, there were several issues during the stay. The mattress was uncomfortable and caused back pain, personally. The biggest problem was the noise at night — neighbours were noisy after 1am until dawn, with sounds of dragging furniture and luggage, loud music, and parties, which made it difficult to rest. The bathroom is extremely small. The check-in process was also inconvenient. Although the stated check-in time was 3pm, the actual check-in was around 4:30pm, so we had to wait about 1.5 hours. In addition, guests need to collect and return a physical key from a locker located about a 10-minute uphill walk from the apartment. This can be especially difficult for solo travellers or anyone carrying large luggage after a long-haul flight.

Our stay in Madrid was short but very enjoyable. We really liked the atmosphere of the neighbourhood where the flat is located; there are lots of things to do. We walked to Sol and it only took us 15 minutes; we passed through parts of Madrid that we hadn't seen before. Further down the street, you'll find Lavapiés tube station, which is extremely well connected. The flat is very good, cosy, and matches the description and photos. The hosts are very friendly and attentive at all times; they responded instantly, which made everything very easy. I'm sure we will repeat in the future.

The place is great. The flat has everything you need to spend some time there. I had trouble getting into the building, but the host was very patient in helping me. Which is a very positive point. However, the bath and face towels were wet, indicating that they had not been changed. When I contacted them to report the situation, I was told that they are always changed during cleaning. And the problem hasn't been resolved. I had to buy towels in order to use it. I also found rubbish bags containing rubbish on the kitchen floor. I was unsure whether the place had been properly cleaned and whether the towels had been changed or not. Apart from that issue, everything went smoothly. Communication with the hosts was easy. They always responded when I needed them.

An amazing stay, to be honest. The flat was very clean and, although it’s small, it genuinely has everything you need for a pleasant stay if you’re travelling alone or as a couple. 😄 Excellent connections to the rest of the city, with Lavapies station just a 1-minute walk away!

Nice small 2 rooms apartment. Good: - The place is well furnished with everything needed. - location is walking distance to the entire city center and El Retiro park. Near shops and restaurants. - host is very responsive & helpful. They changed the baby crib within a few hours after we discovered the existing one is broken. - Has elevator Cons: - We found it a little bit small, for 3 people. - the building is old, so you can hear the noise from the neighbors. But no party or loud music

Overall, great stay in Madrid. Like others have said before, the neighbourhood at night can feel a bit ropey but just like anywhere else in the world when you're travelling, you just have to be aware and on the alert. Nothing happened and the people in the nearby square kept to themselves. We had a couple of issues during our stay like getting into the building at the beginning and the cleaner forgetting to leave us towels but the hosts replied really promptly so any issues were quickly resolved and questions answered almost immediately. The location is fantastic as you're not far at all from so much good stuff - restaurants, galleries, etc. Would definitely stay here again as it was a good price and though the apartment is small, it was all we needed.

Gorgeous apartment with great location. It's very cool that there is a smart home system. Once we accidentally forgot the keys in the apartment, but thanks to the mobile phone we were able to quickly open the door. The owners of the apartment thought through all the little things in the apartment and brought it to perfection. We will remember visiting this apartment with great warmth

Really lovely apartment with lots of light right in the center of Lavapies, which in my opinion is the best neighborhood in Madrid. We really enjoyed our stay and found everything matched the description and our expectations.

Unfortunately I wrote an entire review and airbnb is making me rewrite it, so Ill just condense it. -elevator is a big + -need cellular service to get into the main door -there was construction noise in the hallway at 9am each morning we were there (obviously isnt the hosts fault but it did affect the experience of our stay) -no bathmat for the floor of the bathroom -well equipped kitchen -metal blackout shades on most of the windows but you need to keep your door open for AC so it negates that, the AC light is very bright -one window did not close properly -no clothespins provided for hanging laundry -area can be a little rowdy/unsafe at night -kitchen was well equipped with plenty of supplies and different refreshments, bottle of water provided which was a nice touch -floor a bit dirty if going barefoot -shower is quite small, maybe not great for taller folks -the locks on the doors are very hefty and secure -wifi was a bit spotty at times Overall we did enjoy our stay+good value.

Our stay was really great! The location is perfect, just 10–15 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía, saving you on taxis, Uber or public transport. A stone's throw from the residence, you also had a pharmacist, subway and supermarkets. The hosts were fantastic: they always responded very quickly via chat, regardless of the time, and immediately offered clear solutions. When the wifi stopped working, they immediately provided an alternative. The service is really excellent! The apartment was also very clean and fully equipped with everything you need. We have enjoyed it enormously and if we go to Madrid again, we will definitely choose this stay again. Thank you again, you are doing a great job!

The room was so nice and clean. It's a little dangerous neighborhood, but the house was well secured and safe. It was nice to have a 24-hour grocery store right below. The house was really, really clean and had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioner worked well, and there was nothing lacking. I think it would be more helpful if you had a lot of toilet paper. I'll use it again the next time I come to Madrid.

The apartment was exactly as it looked in the photos, one stop from the centre of Madrid, quiet and you couldn't hear a sound. 100% comfort. Ideal for 2 or maximum 3 people. It's small but has everything you need, towels, air conditioning, hair dryer, coffee, sugar... And communication with the hosts was always quick and attentive!

The trip was amazing, the apartment is the same as in the photos and it’s super close to Madrid downtown (15/20 mins walking). Lavapies (the neighbourhood) is very multicultural as Madrid. The hosts were proactive which is super positive, specially if you are not from Spain. We recommend the place

The apartment is exactly as described: clean, comfortable and in a great location, close to places to visit and the city centre. We felt good there as soon as we arrived. The host was very responsive, always available when needed, which is really nice. I would recommend it in a second.

The apartment was located in a beautiful building right next to the Metro station, the digital check in system worked well and it was easy to use. The space is the perfect size for two. It has good air conditioning that made it very comfortable, even during the midday heat. There are decent cooking facilities that we used frequently throughout the week, and also a washing machine, small clothes line and an iron which made it easy to function normally during our stay. Miguel and his colleagues were helpful and attentive all week, we found them very easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would love to return.

The area is really nice and the apartment is nice for short stays. The staff from company that manages the apartment is really nice and friendly and if you have any issue they are super responsive.
