This was such a great find for our somewhat last minute trip. We were a group of 4 and were very comfortable. The La Latina metro station being right around the corner made getting around really easy and there was always coffee or a small bite to eat nearby. Truly the only improvement we could suggest is having more long mirrors. We did not expect the vintage scene to be what it was and performed many outfit checks before heading out.

I would highly recommend this place to stay. Excellent location and a short walk from loads of amazing tapas bars and the metro station. The apartment was nicely decorated and the beds were incredibly comfy, which was well needed after full days of walking about madrid. Communication with Marta was excellent with check in and check out really smooth. Marta gave us lots of recommendations to us for places to eat which turned out to be excellent. She also gave us a recommendation for storing our luggage on departure as we had a late flight out. All in all, i would recommend this place to stay as the perfect base for exploring Madrid!

Pros: Great location Excellent communication before and during Good air conditioning Cons: Room darkening shades are broken in all three bedrooms and allow light in The bedding on one bed was not cleaned - we had to wash it ourselves The mattress on the bed in the master bedroom is very uncomfortable and worn down - you can feel the springs when you lie on it for too long Sewerage smell in en suite bedroom

I really liked the apartment. It is located in a good area of Madrid, within walking distance of the main attractions and close to the metro. The interior is tastefully decorated, lots of interesting details and stylish things. Kitchen is equipped with everything needed for making meals. A cozy living room where it is pleasant to spend time in the evening. We recommend it.

The apartment is located in an unbeatable area. Close to the movement, without it invading the rest. It is not luxurious but it is perfectly stocked with tableware, with the advantage of having three rooms. Highly recommended for groups who want to be on the move and stay in a strategic place to come and go. The air conditioning could be adjusted a little better, as the heat in Madrid in summer is overwhelming. The experience was very good and enjoyable. Thanks for the attention and communication. Location was excellent, near restaurants, stores and many cafes and only a few minutes walk to La Latina metro. Space was as described. Madrid was in the middle of a heat wave (95-105 Fahrenheit until way into the night) and the AC was essential. The first night we arrived in the evening and it took awhile to cool off but after that we made sure to keep shades closed and fans on to optimize AC. Apt does get stuffy in heat waves since we could really only open windows for fresh air early in the morning but that is the reality of Madrid. Bathrooms and shower stalls were tiny…but again, this is the reality of staying in El Centro in Europe. Hosts were very responsive. Make sure to complete ID info for all people staying in the apt before arriving as you need to complete this to access apt. Once that is done access is fairly seamless through an app, tho apt door can be finicky to open and needed to try multiple times to open but it always worked. Maybe it was just us!

Location was great. Apartment was clean. Unfortunately, it smelled a bit like a drain. Air conditioning didn't work in any room. The fan on the ceiling only worked when the light switch was turned on.

We have very much enjoyed our stay in the flat which was was clean, well provided and decorated. The location was excellent: vibrant neighbourhood, great choice of places to eat and in walking proximity to the historic Madrid. The Museums district is easily reachable by bus and metro which are great value and easy to use. Very close by, I recommend the Al Imparcial as a restaurant ( high end but reasonably priced), El Gordito for breakfast and quick meal, the excellent bakery El Panishop and for ice cream the Gelato shop on the 1st floor (all the way back) of the Mercado de la Cebada, right below is also the Cheesequeria which offer delicious desert. Very responsive hosts, nice flat and great location in a very animated and safe neighbourhood. A very good place to visit Madrid. For info: local regulation mandates you provide personal ID and photos. The host uses a third party provider for processing. First access to the flat is digitised so u need local mobile network access.

Excellent location close to many great sites and two local mercados. The air conditioning was essential during the heat of the day while we were relaxing and recovering from morning adventures. The apartment is very cute and has everything you need. Marta is a thoughtful and responsive host. We were very comfortable and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location which was still quiet despite being near to so many great F&B places and located in the Latin quarter. You can feel the vibe once you walk out from your street. We stayed at the property in August 24 as a family of 4. Great location in La Latina with lots of shops and restaurants along with Mercado de la Cebada close by. Everything as described in the house and all facilities top class. Bedrooms were stuffy as they had fans and air con was only in the living room. Entering the property is via a website which was a bit tricky as the door was a little sticky in the frame. Cool market in the area on Sunday as well which is worth a visit. Lovely property in a great area, close to Metro and walking distance to Plaza Mayor also.

PRO: Host is very responsive & proactive. The location was walkable to everything! CON: the 1 small AC unit in the living room did not cool the home and it’s important to note that Madrid has excessive heat warnings in the summer so this was terrible. Mechanically it did not work so Marta sent someone to check it out (which we are appreciative about) but their fix was to put a piece of cardboard to keep the AC flap open because it won’t stay open on its own and even then it didn’t cool the home. The rooms have ceiling fans but since it’s hot, that’s the hot air it blows at you while trying to sleep. P.S. there was a $59-$60 cleaning fee and you have to take your trash outside at night, wash your dishes and gather up your towels before checking out. These are common sense rules I normally follow when staying at someone’s house, but for some people they are not, so just FYI these are the rules + the fee. If you’re visiting Madrid in the cooler seasons, it’s a great central place!

The flea market is on your doorstep on the Sunday - don't miss out. Well appointed and spotlessly clean. We had a great stay, fantastic location close to lots of restaurants, groceries and attractions, very walkable. The host was very communicative. The apartment is as pictured, maybe slightly more worn. We were travelling with kids and a baby cot was provided which was appreciated, but if you’re travelling with kids I’d suggest bringing an extra crib sheet with you. There is an elevator but it is one short flight up stairs.

Nice apartment in an excellent location near the city center. Host had a lot of recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the area. There is a lot of noise late at night (trash collection and people in the streets on the weekends) and early in the morning, which didn’t bother me but may bother some guests who are light sleepers. Overall I was pleased with the apartment, which is modern, has all the amenities and is in a great location.

The apartment was very spacious with kitchen and table; perfect if you want to cook for yourself. Kitchen utensils were all present too! We were there in March and we had a bit too cold with the duvets. Check-in worked great and communication with Marta was excellent :) I'd love to come back!

We had a pleasant stay, the apartment is large (3 bedrooms) and even has a small patio . Quiet street warm neighborhood (antique shops) that has a soul close to the center and many friendly restaurants, and shops open 24/7... much more lively and pretty than the ultra-touristy neighborhoods of Place Mayor Marta and Enrique are very responsive and have a sense of hospitality.
