Sensational location. Having read previous reviews we knew exactly what we were getting. Was described as small and therefore probably just the right size for 3 able bodied adults It’s not ultra modern and quality of finishes isn’t a 5 star apartment but this is a 6 star location No lift meant plenty of exercise,but we knew that, so perfect Low bulkhead in lounge room, we knew that, not a drama Washing machine, heating etc perfect. Access in and out of the building / apartment via the app / keypad worked every time ,no issues. Would definitely come again given hosts communication prior, during and post our stay Thanks Maria for a great stay

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment was clean, eell-designed and in a great location. We especially loved having late night snack on the balcony with a terrific view. Everything mentioned in previous reviews is true – it’s on a high floor, but for that you get a location in the heart of the city. Marta was incredible. She provided all the information in advance and has an amazing guide for the apartment that explains absolutely everything – from how to use the microwave to restaurant recommendations. Honestly, it’s the first time I’ve seen such a detailed and thoughtful guide. Marta answered all our questions and was extremely supportive throughout our stay.

Visually it looks like the pictures and a good location but it is very noisy at night. Please note there is a lot of steep steps to get to the flat and no lift so large suitcases are really tricky. The app to get in the front door has to be downloaded in 24 hours or it becomes deactivated.

Positives: Location, kitchen very well equipped, nice remodel, good layout and two balcones. Communication was good as long as it was positive. Negative: It's a fouth floor without elevator. The A/C unit upstairs was not working and owner left a portable unit that was not good enough for day time summer temperature. They refundido some of the cost but it took three days for them to understand and acknowledge there was a major problem upstairs. Future tenants are encouraged to check and make sure AC is fixed before next summer.

The apartment was exactly as expected, and it was a perfect base for exploring Madrid, given its central location. Nice kitchen and bathroom facilities, comfortable beds, and a couple of lovely terraces. Yes, I did bump my head on the low ceiling beams, but then I was more careful. If you are less than 168 cm, it shouldn't be a problem at all ;) The place is worth the money.

Marta and Enrique's apartment was perfect for us on a 5-day vacation in Madrid. The apartment is right in the heart of downtown Madrid - literally steps from Puerta del Sol and numerous shops and restaurants. It was an easy walk to Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, and a 15 minute walk to the Prado and Reina Sofia museums. Even with so much to see outside, we frequently lingered over breakfast or post-dinner drinks on the roof-top deck - which had comfortable furniture and great views. It was a peaceful place to relax and catch up even with the energy of the neighborhood below us. The kitchen was well equipped, and there is a Carrefour grocery store nearby, so we did some cooking. Marta was extremely responsive and helpful, and the apartment guide sent to us on Google docs made it easy to navigate the appliances. Would highly recommend.

The team was very communicative with clear and detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment, they were proactive and anticipated any needs, and even provided a curated list of local restaurant recommendations. great place! our family spent four (hot!!) days in Madrid here. the terraces are wonderful, AC is good, beds are good, location is amazing! definitely recommend it. this wasn't a negative for us, but I could see this place being tough if you are mobility challenged - the stairs to the second level are narrow, not uniform, and high at the top. also the beam in the living room is low (I'm 5'9"), but it's padded so I didn't hurt my head after hitting it several times :)

The accommodation is very well located, close to several tourist spots, shops and restaurants, and you can walk to all of them and get to know places. The balcony of the apartment is excellent, with a beautiful view of the top of the buildings, providing a great sunset view. The apartment is very cozy, with all the utensils working without a problem. The only thing to note is that there is no elevator in the building.

After a total of 83 steps, you arrive inside a cozy apartment with 2 outdoor spaces for morning coffee, and beautiful sunsets. 2 completely separate bedrooms, well appointed kitchen, dishwasher, clothes washer and drying rack (we put it outside and our clothes dried fast), located just off Puerto del Sol - it is a great location to feel the energy of the city. Only a few steps away from a fantastic supermarket that has everything you need. Sol is a main metro stop that allows quick access to all parts of the city. Tapas restaurants are nearby, Grand Via, and Plaza Mayor are all right “around the corner”. We did experience the blackout (Apr. 28, ‘25) which rendered the WiFi lock on the main door useless, so bring the keys with you…just in case and always have some cash. Would recommend for a group of close friends, or a family. The host was responsive and helpful.

We stayed in this apartment from Monday to Friday with two adults and a child of 3. Fantastic location in Madrid. It can't be more central. Public transport around the corner, so you can easily move around, but everything is also easy to walk to. Beautiful, neat and clean stay with fantastic views from the roof terrace. The apartment is four high so please be mindful of stairs and some low ceilings. But once there is enjoyment. We'd love to come back again.

Great stay overall. The room was clean, brought a home environment, and was relatively safe. I would just warn families bringing huge/multiple bags of luggage that there are no elevators and the room is on the top floor. Also, on occasion the main door would be left open and my friend stepped over individuals sleeping on the stairs.

Location is definitely the best. Small Apt is ok, could definitely benefit from new beds and pillows. Understand that the bed by the second balcony is twin. The 1/2 bathroom could benefit from a fan to keep gases going in apt. Lots Restaurants, you need to eat at the “Arepera” I know is Venezuela food but it was delicious, same with the Chinese and gyros, all three are right when you leave apt. Overall it was good

Marta’s place was very well located and matched what we needed to visit Madrid by being very central but without hearing the hustle and bustle below. It was clean and well laid out. Just need to be mindful of the ceiling if you’re tall. Having enough hot water for a shower was always a bit tricky and you need to schedule times between other guests to make sure you have enough hot water. In the summer this wouldn’t be a problem. The terraces are very nice and would be great to use !

We had a lovely stay during Christmas week. The lights throughout the city were magical and we were in the perfect place to experience them. The location of the home is absolutely the best for seeing Madrid (it’s in the historic center of town). We delighted in the warmth of the apartment and the space was just right for my husband and I in the main bedroom and our daughter upstairs in her own nook. Yes, we did have some hit heads and had to be cautious in the stairs and in between floor levels, but the charm and location were worth it!

The apartment very much met our expectations and the absolute highlight is the rooftop. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and the owners were always immediately available if we had questions such as, for example, the underfloor heating was not possible and the apartment was quite cool. It also doesn't have an elevator up to the 4th floor but it's a good workout! absolutely top location, central can no longer be more central and yet quiet.

We had a great stay and enjoyed this comfortable apartment. The rooftop terrace was a huge perk, the perfect place for a glass of wine and sunset. The apartment is on the 4th floor of a walkup building, and there are some more steep stairs inside, so just be aware with luggage/mobility etc. Would stay again when back in Madrid!

Me and my friend stayed for the weekend and the location could not be more central plus with sol 2 minute walk away you can pretty much get everywhere. Yes, it's on the 4th floor but it's worth it for the spectacular terrace. I found check-in no problem and Marta's communication was clear and quick throughout our stay. Just if you're tall watch out for the ceilings.

Marta was very communicative and always responsive and helpful. Her place was cozier than I expected. Very low ceilings (I hit my head at least times). Location is the best part — central to everything we did. Can be tricky to find. It would be helpful to ask for a photo of what the front door looks like so we knew what we were looking for. We loved the 2 balconies and used both of them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location! You're truly right next to the heart of Madrid. Marta's place was a great launching pad to visit Madrid, but I would offer one small disclaimer. If you are a tall person you may find it slightly uncomfortable to stay here. Parts of the ceiling are low due to structural beams, so my friend and I (both 6ft+) were ducking the beam often so we didn't hit our heads.

Very friendly but uncoordinated operators, they are part of an agency that manages many homes and do not know exactly what is in one or how it works. The codes sent to open with the Nuki app did not work, written several times but never had a second code. Presence of internal architectural barriers not reported in the listing. The air conditioner in the upper room did not work, the towels to lower the staircase were broken, the pans for the induction stove could not be found, and they brought it to the gas stove. The second operator found them in a room out of place at a later time. The location is beautiful, the four floors without an elevator and with fewer narrow stairs, although we were perfectly aware of it going up and down with our luggage it was an herculean undertaking. The apartment is still very nice and central to museums and monuments. Without a good air conditioner, the upper room is warm while good for the bottom.

This airbnb is located at the perfect place to discover Madrid. It’s close to many of the touristic attractions and surrounded by beautiful old buildings and nice restaurants. The host is very friendly and responds quickly every time. The house has all the facilities you need and it also has two places where you can enjoy the view over the city center. Allthough the airbnb is not cheap, it is totally worth it. I would highly recommend this place.

This was our first stay in Madrid and we enjoyed our stayed at Marta’s with our family (with four year old). The apartment is located at the most center of the city so if you are into shopping at popular commercial chain this is a place for you. You do need to walk a bit farther from the center to get away from it all though, if you are looking for less touristy place to stay. But there was a lot to do and many things to see really close by. The apartment had a terrace which was great to spend time at when our kid went to sleep earlier.

This is a well-located, bright and clean apartment, right in heart of the city. Communication with the host was usually excellent. When the air conditioning broke down a new portable one was purchased and installed for us within hours. The apartment itself had all the required amenities as promised, and it served us well. However, there are some issues that should be emphasized. There are some annoying hazards such as very low ceiling in the living room which we occasionally bumped our head into. The stairs leading to the second floor are very narrow and steep. The bathroom is attached to the main bedroom so access is limited for the person staying in the small room. In addition, the small room upstairs is full of light which is impossible to block. If you’re willing to overlook these pitfalls then it is a very descent place.

The place was very clean and we didn't miss anything. It is centrally located and everything is within walking distance. The metro is minutes away. The apartment is located on the 4th floor of an old building. You get used to the many stairs very quickly, as you are rewarded by the great roof terrace. :o) All in all, a great place to stay. The location of this apartment is perfect for exploring the city from all directions. Supermarket and cafe just down the street. Views from 2 rooftop patios for a glass of wine in the evening. Loved the apartment it was within walking distance to all of the sites, food and bars. We enjoyed hanging out on both patios after a long day of exploring. Across the way is a convenience store with water, snacks, and liquor. The empanada restaurant a few doors down was excellent. If we are back in Madrid we would definitely stay here again if available.

Marta and Arturo’s place is located at the heart of La Plaza del Sol. Great location. Walkable to great restaurants and shopping. Close by access to the metro. The apartment feels smaller than in the pictures, but it’s very clean, well decorated, equipped, and charming. Loved the rooftop terrace. The only down side is that it has a lot of stairs to get to the 4th floor. I was traveling with heavy suitcases and I struggled getting them up the stairs. Besides that, everything was great.

Great location relative to 2 squares, 2 metro stops, restaurants, shopping, basic groceries, etc. Beautiful views at night from each of the decks. Marta was very responsive. Cute, clean place. Only caution is if you are tall (I’m 6’3”) you will hit your head on the low ceilings.

Had a lovely time in this apartment. Located very close by to many popular landmarks, restaurants, and shops. The place itself is nicely kept, clean, and has great amenities. Only warning is if you are on the taller side (say 6’+) be careful with booking because there are some (labeled) sections of the apartment that the ceiling hangs lower. Also, having the keys on your phone is incredibly convenient unless you are the type to use your battery quickly, then you have no entry so be mindful. Otherwise, Marta and Arturo were very communicative and friendly, couldn’t recommend more!

This apartment was in the heart of Sol, but due to its location being down a cobbled side street, it was so peaceful. The metro is close by, and there are so many tapas bars, restaurants and great shops within a few minutes walking distance. Marta was an excellent host and commutation was quick and easy. The apartment is gorgeous and what a bonus to have 2 roof top terraces . I would definitely stay there again.

Apartment is very centrally located, looked exactly like the photos, was clean and tidy, and was a good base for a long weekend trip and first time in Madrid. So all positives and should have no issue booking this if using it as a convenient place to stay whilst exploring the city most of the day. Nice terrace as well. Not negatives but things to note: Seen some comments about the number of stairs and the height of the apartment ceiling. I am 6’1 (185cm) and there is just one low beam in the sitting room which is easy to avoid. Can stand up elsewhere. Same with the upstairs bed area which is where I slept. For us this was all fine and no issue. There was a digital lock for the main door onto street which we never used as key provided was just as easy. The door did close slowly though so sometimes found it open. Door into apartment was easy to use with keypad and number. Host Marta was very responsive and happy to allow us to drop bag off earlier than check in time. Very helpful.

Super central location, apartment is really nice and cosy! In some parts ceiling is a bit low so for tall ones it can be a chalenge 😀 Super clean, Marta is really nice!

A wonderful experience& a lovely home: you will love the balconies as well! Marta & Arturo were always there if you have any questions. It does not felt like Hotel more like a home where your friends are helping. Beds are comfy and the check in/check out was sooo easy you wanna install at your own home. The minimalistic design style where everthing was available. Pleasure to be your guest: graciasss :)

Good points: - location (walking distance to Sol Square and metro station; - Quiet (even in a crowded area); - WiFi works very well; - Check-in is easy; - Equipped kitchen. Bad points: - 4th floor without elevator; - Ceiling in the living room and upper bedroom is low, if you are taller than 1.80 m be careful; - bathroom in the room smells very bad; - the main bedroom smells cigarettes; - the floor was dusty.

Great hosts and beautiful apartment. Right next to puerta del sol, so everything is a walk or metro ride away. The only problem was the heating went out on our last day, but Marta sent someone over right away to fix it.

If you are going to Madrid for the first time, this is the house to stay in. It is within walking distance to all the museums, palaces, etc. and there are also many nice restaurants and cafes around the house. The owner, very patient :) answered all the questions we asked no matter what time it was...

We had a great stay in this accommodation, well equipped, accessible and close to all the places of life, despite the very busy street, sound insulation is effective, Marta and Arturo are other caring and available. I highly recommend this rare gem in the centre of Madrid. I hope to be back soon.

We stayed 3 nights in the accommodation in Puerta del Sol. The location for getting around the centre of Madrid is unbeatable. Metro stations 1 min. away. A wide variety of restaurants, shops and important points of the city. The house is very cozy, it was in very good condition and with two terraces overlooking the city center. When I return to Madrid I will try to rent it again. Communication with Marta was very easy and she is quick to answer, always attentive. 100% recommended.

The apartment is in a very good location, it was clean and the landlord was always friendly and helpful. The apartment is not for larger people, it is smaller than the photos show. I would describe the apartment as a cozy apartment rather than luxurious.

Amazing location! The apartments itself is fairly small, and there are a lot of stairs- but all of the necessities and minor details, and you absolutely can’t beat the location. Close to everything but on a quiet pedestrian street. Marta was so friendly and welcoming, you couldn’t ask for a better host

We have stayed with Marta Y Arturo for a total of 5 days, and we felt very welcome. The apartment was very clean, it had all the necessary utilities for a home, and the best part was 2 balconies with a great view of the city! The host was always responsive, giving clear instructions and professional. We really can't complain on anything. Everything has been well communicated, and on time, from arrival, check in, up to check out. I would totally recommend this host & apartment suite. The location was also perfect. :)

We had a wonderfull stay. the flat is very central. quick walk to the metro, supermarket is 100 meters away. big variety of restaurants in a 500 meter radius. well worth it.
