All in all, the apartment was nice! The location is amazing too, since it is perfectly located in the near all the main attractions, so you only need to walk around 10-30 minutes to reach all the major sights. The option of a late checkin and checkout was also fantastic! As for the disadvantages, we didn’t have enough towels at the beginning, so the first night was a bit of a struggle. There were also some things left from the previous guests, such as socks near the bed or a used sponge in the bathroom. The bed sheets in one room were all in different colours, which is okay considering it’s not a hotel, but was still a bit random and strange. Overall all was fine and we still had a pretty nice time at the apartment :)

Great apartment in an excellent location. Can walk to all the main tourist attractions and shopping areas. Ideal for a family stay in Madrid. Having en suite bathrooms in all bedrooms is a bonus. Marta was so helpful and responded really quick. I would have no hesitation recommending this apartment and would definitely stay here again if we visit Madrid.

I booked the apartment for my mother and her friends, there were 5 of them. They were great, the apartment is spacious and clean. They were able to walk around the city safely because the apartment is very central. The host is super helpful and gives a lot of useful advice. Only advice: a few extra towels provided for guests.

Great location, easy access to the subway and well-equipped apartment! The only point is that very tall people (over 1.90) will have some discomfort in one of the three rooms. Otherwise, the apartment is excellent!

Fantastic place for even more than 6 people. Spacious, clean and full of amenities. Big kitchen and dining. High roof makes it full of fresh air. Fully safe and secure lock system. Very near to everything we needes during our stay. Only one thing needs to be improved that toilet door were see through which is not acceptable for any family. We used by making a rule that whoever goes in, others come out of bedroom. I notified to host and she accepted to improve it. Rest is best. Fully recommended. Another awkward thing that guest has to sign a working agreement with host, may be strange rule by Spanish authorities...read house rules carefully as it is also memtiomed there that guests cannot stay if they are on tourism, so you need paperwork to prove that you are on working or study trip, etc.

The location is good depending on what you're looking for. To go with family, the location is not good, it is in a very central region where there are parties everywhere, a lot of people, a lot of dirt and noise. The building is undergoing renovation at the moment, so there is a lot of dirt on the stairs and noise. If you are driving, be very careful, this region does not allow the circulation of vehicles, even if you are in a permitted category, if you do not stop your car in a parking lot certified by the city hall, you will be fined. The entire central region of Madrid has car traffic restrictions. The apartment itself is not bad, the problem was that we did not like the location, if you are young and looking for parties you will like it.

We had a fantastic stay at Marta & Enrique’s apartment! The location was unbeatable—right near Plaza Mayor and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see in Madrid. The apartment itself was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable for our group. Check-in was easy, communication was excellent, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. We felt right at home and truly appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid!

Air conditioners need maintenance, very loud and dirty. There was issue with one shower, hopefully it gets fixed soon. There are strict rules about being quiet all the time it seems. And trash out the night before you leave, which is confusing with needing to use the apartment in the morning. Residents of building seem unhappy with building being used as Airbnb. Otherwise fine experience and lots to do around.

The three bedroom/three bathroom home was spacious and perfect for our friend group. I never would have thought it would have been possible to find such a great place in a great location. The home was walking distance to Plaza Mayor and a quick taxi ride to Atocha. The washing machine and kitchen full of offerings made it feel just like home. The added bonus of a yoga mat was something I’ve always wanted in an airbnb, but nowhere I have stayed has provided it. Marta y Enrique were the kindest hosts with excellent communication. I would reccomend this home to anyone traveling with a large family or group!

Great location. Walking distance from all the interesting places. The apartment is clean and spacious. Their service and shower in each of the three rooms allows privacy for all guests. The hosts are very nice. We were greeted with pleasure and personally guided us in the apartment at the time of reception. The only issue was that there was not enough hot water for everyone to shower at once. We were 4 people in the apartment and the fourth no longer had hot water left. The landlords said they would check it out with a technician and fix it.

We took this apartment because of its location and reviews. Everything turned out to be just as described, with a fabulous communication with our hosts. We got not only full support from them, but also all the hints and tips on the surrounding area, where to dine, what to try, shops etc. The apartment is maximized, for all 3 of us had separate room and bath. Location is very central, so we enjoyed the area all the way. It is also easily reachable from the airport, and easy to reach IFEMA. We will definitely return with great pleasure! :)

Super well located, less than 2 blocks from the metro and the tourist bus passes in the corner. Close to plaza mayor, restaurants and commerce. They were very friendly and always willing. I think they could improve on cleaning, very clean linen plus no towels.

The hosts are very friendly and pending during our arrival. As for the place, it was older and worn down than we imagined, the building needs maintenance. But the worst part is that you can't make noise at all (or talk) because after 9 pm there is a super rude neighbor who starts calling on the intercom in a very altered way, on the first day the building administrator went to check if there was noise, took pictures and ended up apologizing when he realized that there was no more noise than that of two 1 year old babies, I think they should be very clear before renting in that after 9 pm you can't even walk or they should not accept families with children.

Location was great and easy to get places. The elevator was perfect and there were stairs if you prefer. It was on the second floor. It was very quiet and heard little noise from outside the apartment, but you could hear everything everyone said inside. My mother has trouble getting around and we picked this place because of elevator and what we thought was no stairs. There were 3 steps to get inside the apartment and each of the bedrooms had one step. One step to get into the bedroom and one had a step to get to the bathroom. We were okay, but I would have booked something else if I had known. Also the upstairs bedroom ceiling was extremely low, my brother was too tall. One of the downstairs bedrooms was also low, but better than upstairs. As mentioned, the upstairs bathroom door did not open all the way and did not close all the way. Sharing with another person made it difficult. The stand alone shower in one of the bedrooms was very unstable and not useable. Informed owner of issues

Excellent location, full amenities such as kitchen supplies, clothes washer, Air conditioning. And, great layout for a group, lots of space to hangout. Upstairs bedroom is great, but should be noted that the ceilings are just under 6ft tall. No problem if you are under 6ft, but if not, you have to duck down a little to move around in this bedroom. Other 2 bedrooms are fine. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location to get around Madrid’s iconic sites. Close to great restaurants as well. Great hosts, got from them great restaurant suggestions which we tried several of them and they were delicious. They responded to our questions fast. The place; for five of us (one couple, one adult men, and two adult women) felt small. The room build upstairs is ok if you are not tall. Ceiling is quite low. Kitchen is small but sufficient. Nice to have washer and dishwasher. Living room Furniture could use a deep cleaning.

Location, location, location - this was right next to Plaza Mayor and Mercado de San Miguel. Perfect place to be in. Being near Plaza Mayor we were able to ‘walk in’ to the oldest restaurant in the world Botin. Although a bit farther, but you can walk to Gran Via or take the train. The apartment building had extremely good security, the lobby and stairwell was air conditioned. Elevator was small but working and we were able to bring our bags easily. Locks were all electronic - watchout, needs to have roaming and Bluetooth to work. They also had key entry but, we didn’t need it, the link was good enough. The place itself had 3 bathrooms. This is a rarity for AirBNB in Madrid. The place fits 8, we were 6 and that worked well. Our host was very, very responsive. She took extra care that we were able to find the place and get in with no issues. She would check in us all the time to see if we needed anything. My son left his wallet and working with us on the return.

The only challenge was that our party of 6 needed to get used to the smaller bathrooms with limited ventilation and hard for towels to get dry.

Although the apartment is generally well equipped, the basic dishes (glasses, spoons) are a bit just for a stay of 6 people. I will start from the positive, which is the location, in La Latina, central and bustling neighborhood but on the contrary the apartment is very quiet, when giving the rooms to interior patios. And mention the attention of the owners, always attentive. As for the least positive, the apartment suffers from adequate maintenance. It is noticeable in a multitude of details: damaged window, 1st stair step to climb to the broken second floor, upstairs bathroom door that sticks to the ceiling and cannot be fully opened, the sofa in the room above with stains on the upholstery, the air conditioners not very quiet... Another topic to comment is that it is a high floor in an antique building, in which the height has been used to make a loft and take out a third room. I measure 1'84 and in the room at the top it was facing with my head on the ceiling. In short, nothing super serious but the photos suggest a higher level than you will find.

We were blessed to find this apt. The owners were fantastic, the decor is comfortable, and the location is amazing - we didn’t need our car because everything was either walkable or we used the subway which was around the corner. Shopping, restaurants, museums, nightlife, churches, grocery, wellness, historic sites and more within minutes. We had space to be together and space for the kids to be kids. We are at local restaurants and ate in. The owners were there for every question before during and after. I would recommend and return again. A must.

The location is very convenient for the Metro and for walking to Plaza Mayor, Gran Via, Cibeles and many other places of interest. It is also quiet for sleeping and spacious. Issues included lack of kitchen basics, which Marta partially fixed, mold in one bathroom, one shower not connected to the water, and peeling wallpaper. Some walls and all baseboards and corners are dirty, as is some of the furniture. There is also one safety hazard which we pointed out to Marta—a broken step at the bottom of the stair leading to the upstairs bedroom.

We had an amazing time in Madrid and the apartment has a great location. Easy walks to Royal Palace, Gran Via, Retiro Park etc. Although we didn’t need to meet Marta she was always on hand via messages if we needed anything. Highly recommend the apartment and the area. Marta and Enrique's apartment is very nice and it was super comfortable for my family. There were five of us and with three en-suite rooms each was great. The building is old but has good maintenance. The night area we thought it was not the best since we ran into people who might have mental problems (screaming and fighting). Or it was simple excess of alcohol, bad drink. Always helpful hosts and responded promptly. Very good restaurant options and theater nearby. Metro nearby, etc. I definitely recommend it.

Match the photos. It has a small elevator. Super close to everything. We traveled with my mom in a wheelchair and were able to walk to most places. We take the subway just to go to the Retiro park. Hosts always responded to our msj, they helped us with everything. It has shops and supermarkets around the corner. To make a drawback I would say that, we are a large family and we all usually collaborate with the preparation of meals then we needed sharp knives, we asked for another frying pan and they kindly took it from us. But it has everything that works for cooking. The apartment is very comfortable , that's cold. Yes, it cost us a little to warm up.

Couldn’t ask for a better location! Everything is close by Plaza Mayor, Grand Via, Stores, Markets, All less than a 12 minute walk. If you don’t feel like washing clothes there are places you can drop your clothes off to get washed and they are a 10 minute walk from the apartment. A total of 6 of us fit comfortably and an extra person or two would’ve been fine too.

My kids loved the apartment, I just felt the air conditioner was not great the first few days when it was extremely warm outside, but as the days were a little cooler days later we were able to feel it better. But the room under the stairs never felt the air at all. A portable fan would have been nice.. the little fan that was provided was used for the upstairs room which was worse. Other than that, more towels provided would have been nice too.

We found the apartment very comfortable and very well located. They were very kind and helpful at all times. The elevator is very convenient to be able to walk up and down the suitcases and for those who need it. The apartment is one floor by staircase. Super quiet, despite being in the center. There are many places to go eat within a few minutes walk. On the corner, around… etc. The subway is around the corner. Easy to get around with this mode of transportation in Madrid. Marta was tremendously helpful during our stay. My girlfriend got sick on the day of check out and they made some trip saving accomodations for us. The only thing I should include is that if you are taller than 6ft 2in or 187cm than you won't be able to stand up in 2 of the 3 bedrooms.

Incredible nice apartment right in the Plaza Mayor of Madrid. Perfect for three couples and enjoy the city center. The communication all good and extremely easy. Maybe to take in consideration the air conditioning needed for the rooms but the apartment is relatively fresh as has an air conditioner on the living room and a ventilator. Great location and great host. The location is very walkable to many lively areas in Madrid. To note, the ceilings are low in this unit. I’m 5’7” and my head almost touched ceiling in the upstairs room. We spent most of the days adventuring, so no problem but should note if you are taller.

The accommodation was all that was reported: close to many places of interest, with the metro station and buses just 5 minutes away, restaurants, cafes and convenience stores, and super close by. We had the joy of meeting Marta upon arrival, and she allowed us to stay for once, because the place was already clean, even though it was a few hours before check-in. Of course we are very grateful for allowing us to stay in his place which was very comfortable and very clean, well located. We would definitely come back without any hesitation. The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Very stylishly furnished, kitchen had everything we needed, ensuites with each room were fantastic. Close to everything, good shopping, convenient to attractions, public transport close by. The host Marta was very professional, always responsive with clear details and helpful in organising van to pick us up from airport. Driver was polite. Only downside to the stay was the key was located in a key safe away from property. Suggestion is to place a secured key box by the front door of apartment. Saves time for guest especially when guest arrive after hours. Will definitely recommend the apartment to others.

This place is perfectly located in the La Latina neighbourhood , a very quiet street right near the Plaza Mayor . We walked everywhere and loved every second . Great place with a bathroom in every room and spacious kitchen / dining area . The building itself is a reformed convent which is incredible to see - although sound travels a lot so even your living room conversation echos over to the neighbours. So maybe not a place for noisy kids . Marta was extremely helpful . We tried some of her restaurant recommendations with great approval . Her instructions to check in were clear and achievable - the keys were in a local locker . She found us a ride to the airport also ! Immaculate place, highly recommended !

the home is ideally located in the historic area of Madrid. The accommodation is quiet and spacious for 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms with a low ceiling for tall people. We found ourselves there very well. The 3 bathrooms provide real comfort for a group.

Very nice to have three separate full bathroom and showers. Clean and modern kitchen. Spacious central living room area. Hosts were very friendly, reachable, and helpful. Overall a great stay!

Great location for walking to many must see locations in central Madrid. Marta provided detailed instructions for check in and responded quickly to questions. She went above and beyond to check via message if things were going well during the stay and provided many recs for restaurants and activities. The apartment had all the amenities listed and it was everything we needed. It was great having a bathroom for each bedroom. One downside was the hot water was touchy, when someone used another faucet for even cold water it seemed to cut the hot water for a few moment. Also, for those that value having a view, of the street below or over rooftops, there are only windows looking onto the next building here, however they are frosted so your aren't staring into neighbors apartment. But, we weren't there very long during the day because of so many things to see, so that didn't matter much.

I stayed here with my two daughters. It was the perfect space for 3. We each got a bedroom and bath to ourselves. The location is walkable to so many things in Madrid and close to the La Latina metro. El Rastro was a block away and Plaza Mayor was a 5 minute walk. We were able to buy groceries down the street and keep food in fridge at apartment. 2nd floor location made it easy to just use stairs and not bother with elevator - but it was there if you needed it. I felt very safe in neighborhood and Marta was extremely helpful to order us a cab for our 4:30 am departure our final day.

Our stay at Marta & Enrique’s place was exactly what we needed in our lodgings :) Traveling with first-time visitors to the city, I knew it would be best to be centrally located for my mixed-age traveling companions. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. The entrance to the building is kept incredibly clean and the wide stairways give plenty of room to those ferrying their luggage upstairs on foot. Entrance/exit to the apartment is easy and the locks smooth (no tricky keys). The layout of the apartment affords privacy for each group, with the convenience of each bedroom having an en suite bathroom. The shared spaces have tall ceilings with great lighting. The flat is easy to warm or cool, depending on your preference. As some note, if all persons in your party are tall, two rooms may req. some stooping but it was fine for our group. (5’1 & 5’9 in the upper room; 6’0 & 6’1 in lower; 5’4 & 6’0 in other). Finally, Marta is both proactive & quick to respond: a perfect host!

the apartment is very central and in a strategic position: all the main places of interest can be reached on foot,and it has nearby 2 Metro stops (Latina and Tirso de Molina).The check in was easy.The apartment is large,but 2 rooms, one above the other,have low ceilings.Cleanliness:approximate. Some basic directions were missing (for example, how the space shower works) and maintenance is very neglected. For example: the door to one of the bathrooms remains open in half,the last step of the staircase is not stable,the wall-mounted heaters do not work(answer: take the portable heater) or even the hair dryer(answer: we come immediately to replace it- but we have not seen anyone). Heating with fancoil: the room at the top was very hot and the other 2 cold,and portable thermoses did not solve the problem, especially since the blankets were very light. Hosts available only in words compared to the reported inconveniences, we arranged on our own. We wouldn't go back there.

The place is super well located, everything is in walkable distances. Also Marta and Enrique were extremely nice and gave good tips. They were extremely responsive, though we never met in person. The problems are: we had to search for the keys in a locker in the city (5 min away from the apartment). We had just 2 sets of keys though we were 6 persons renting the apartment. The place is dark and difficult to heat. Last, but not least, no one actually lives there but it is just rented as an airbnb (as it seemed to be the case with some other apartments in the building), which is a pity and helping with the gentrification of city...

Marta was a lovely host during our stay in Madrid. She quickly responded to all communication. Her apartment was perfectly located in Centro, 150m to a supermarket and less than 5 minute walk to the tapas bars and restaurants of Cava Baja and Plaza Mayor. The apartment was clean and cozy. We are a family of 6 and we were all comfortable. It should be noted though, that if you’re over 6’ tall, the 2 bedrooms that can be spilt in to single beds will require you to stoop/ duck your head. There were 3 bathrooms, 2 hot water systems, which was great. Marta also supplied some dishwasher tablets, cleaning products, Al foil, food wrap, salt and pepper etc in the kitchen, which is always appreciated. We would happily stay at Marta’s apartment again. She was kind enough to allow us to keep our packed luggage in the corner after check out too, so we could maximize our time exploring Madrid. Thank you Marta🙏

Marta and Enrique's apartment was perfect for our two families having comfortably used the three bedrooms (each with its own en-suite bathroom). The area is quiet while still being close to the center and therefore ideal for reaching all the interesting areas of the city (the metro station can be reached in two minutes on foot). The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Special thanks to the very kind Marta who made herself available for any request and information.

The location is EVERYTHING. First, the unit doesn't face the street so it was extremely quiet. Second, the unit is located within walking distance of every major Madrid attraction or place to visit. It was a very spacious place and with 3 bathrooms it was super ideal for each bedroom to have their own. The living space was great for groups or families like ours so we could all have dinner at the table or all lounge in the living room comfortably with enough seating. Marta was very very responsive and we were very grateful. Accessibility - we ended up having a guest in a wheelchair and the doorway to the building had no steps, the elevator was perfect and the unit itself was spacious with two bedrooms easily accessible. There were 3 steps into the unit from the apartment door but we were able to carry the guest up in the wheelchair no problem. Again, the unit and hallways being spacious made it very convenient.

Well located place in Madrid Latina Area BUT not convenient for people that are 180cm taller or more. The heigth of the appartment has been split in two to build an upper level /upper room which is barely 180 cm tall. If you are a regular/tall person this is not going to be a convenient place for you. Rest is ok.

Great Airbnb because of location and space. This Airbnb is located within a 5-10 minute to a lot of the major tourist locations. If walking is not an option there is a metro location within a 2-minute walk that can take you to all major tourist spots within 15 minutes. Location is the biggest selling point. Airbnb has 3 separate bedrooms with 3 beds. The sofa does turn into a bed as well if needed. My family was a group of 4 individuals and space was not a problem at all. Will definitely stay here again.

It would have been a great Airbnb if not for these reasons: The check-in and check-out times are 11am and after 3pm. We arrived at 3:50pm, the cleaning lady was still there, cleaning. She left at 4:20pm. But on the check-out day she came at 10:45am. Pros: The apartment is big with nice size kitchen and dining room. We used dishwasher as we ate breakfast at home. It has 3 working air conditioners, which kept the apartment cool The location is close to Plaza Major and other attractions The host, Marta, was very helpful with taxis and accommodating our request to get extra towels Cons: The upstairs bedroom ceiling is too low, I would say it is unusable for adults. But it might be fine for kids. Two bedrooms downstairs: one has an air conditioner and the other does not. The one with air conditioner is very bare, a bed and a lamp and nothing else. I had to put a phone on the floor. The showers are small and uncomfortable. There are no little shelfs in the shower, nowhere to put your own shampoo or a soap, except on the floor. There is no a suitable place to hang your wet towel to dry inside, except outside of a window

Our stay in Marta's apartment was excellent from start to finish. Location fantastic, a few minutes walk to Plaza Mayor. We loved the apartment, it was just as it was described and perfectly quiet, which was a hugh bonus in such a central area. Marta couldn't have been more helpful, she organised a taxi to pick us up from airport and another to deliver us back. We hope to visit Madrid again and will definitely be looking to stay in Marta's.

Every aspect of review is a great score. I can't imagine a better location to spend a few days spending a few days in sightseeing in Together with my family composed of my wife and 3 children (18; 26 and 32 years old) we stayed 7 nights. The apartment is very comfortable as it has 3 rooms each with its own bathroom. The kitchen equipment is super complete. We will definitely come back. 100% recommended.

We stayed 4 nights, 4 adults and 2 children. Positive: 1. location (5 minutes from Plaza Mayor) 2. One bathroom per room 3. Very peaceful and peaceful Negative: 1. Revenge mattresses, horrific 2. Correct cleaning… 3. The rooms do not have a blind. The worst part is that we previously asked the specific question and they said they did. The truth is that I personally would not stay in this apartment again

It is an apartment that is super good, it is central and we have barely taken the metro. We went in "winter" and the heating is great, in addition there are two thermoses of water. The kitchen is ready and the dishwasher leave it with products to be able to put it. And it'S CRAZY that each room has its own bathroom.

A central apartment, very well located, with an ecological products store across the street, restaurants, cafes, cafes, next to the Tirso metro and the Latin one. Very comfortable and well equipped. Despite being so central, it is very peaceful and quiet. Each bedroom has its own single bathroom and the living room is spacious and comfortable. Everything was working perfectly. My friends & I were hosted by Lis during our Airbnb stay and she was in good communication with us since we all arrived from 3 different locations to the stay in Madrid. Upon our arrival the place resembled the pictures and post. Hot water, wifi, washing machine and Air conditioning were operating smoothly 👌🏾 The stay was at a very convenient location to restaurants, metro, bakery downstairs outside of the stay. The spot was great for my 6 day 4 tour Madrid visit. Also you can drink faucet water is been clean for centuries.

Plenty of bars and resteraunts to choose form in all price ranges. Hosts couldnt have been more helpful during our stay. Would return on another visit without hesitation
