Very convenient location! Close to a Metro station and many good restaurants. El Rastro on Sunday mornings is steps outside the door. Greta communication from hosts. The bedrooms are small and don’t have much room for unpacking, but worth it to have two separate bedrooms. Plenty of space in the rest of the apartment. Thanks for the nice stay!

Perfect location, very close to the main attractions of Madrid, you can walk. The two nearby metro stations are very convenient. Automatic check-in is perfect, when you arrive tired and want to access quickly. We liked having the necessary things in the kitchen to prepare something quick, oil, salt, sugar, vinaigrette, garlic, etc.

Super location. In addition to the two bedrooms we made use of the sofa bed which was comfortable and I think a double. The apartment does not have views but the advantage being that it remains cool at all times. Very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

Marta and Enrique's apartment is located very conveniently and has everything you need. In June/July, the aircon has been an absolute lifesaver, making the apartment perfect for an afternoon nap during the hottest part of the day. This apartment is perfectly located for everything you need to do in Madrid. It was easy to access several supermarkets and the local Panishop (breadshop) was a sheer delight to visit and indulge yourself. The La Latina metro stop is half a block away and allows you to easily travel all over Madrid. The range of tapas restaurants is mind boggling and good value for money. The Opera house, the Prado, the royal palace and the cathedral are within easy reach. The hostess anticipated our every need and made our visit most memorable. We would highly recommend this apartment to everyone. We plan to return.

We had a great stay in Marta y Enrique's apartment. Location is fantastic, everywhere is walkable and there is lots to explore in La Latina itself. Lots of great eateries and bars only a very short walk away. Apartment was cosy, as 2 couples it was great to have 2 bathrooms. Bedrooms are on the small size but not a problem for what we needed. Apartment is quiet and peaceful, well kept with an impressive staircase. Also a lift if needed. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. Marta's instructions and videos are very helpful and communication was prompt and clear. Marta shared some great recommendations for places to eat - many of which we explored and enjoyed. Madrid is a vibrant city with so much to see and do - we'd love to return and would definitely recommend a visit and a stay at Marta y Enrique's!

Great location. The apartment is at the back of the building, no view but it is quiet. The lift is useful with suitcases. The communal space is comfortable a couple of settees and a dining table and chairs. The bedrooms are quite small, one with ensuite has a wardrobe the other just a chest of drawers. The second bathroom also has a walk in shower. Reasonably equipped kitchen with hob and microwave. There is a Nespresso coffee machine but you need to bring your own pods. Several supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. Lots of bars and restaurants in the vicinity. La Latina is a good base for exploring Madrid.

We stayed in Martas Appartment for a week - four adults and a baby - and had a great time. The location is very central, close to restaurants snd transport links, but the apartment is quiet and tranquil with light from internal light wells. The lift meant we could get in and out easily with a buggy and everything we needed was there. Marta is a lovely host - responsive, full of suggestions and ideas of places to go. I have stayed at numerous Airbnbs in many countries including in Madrid, and Marta’s place was one of the best. First it was beautifully decorated, designed, clean and welcoming. The brief slide show descriptions on how to use everything from the microwave to the heating were perfect. Her restaurant and local recommendations were excellent. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable and clean. The location is perfect with many grocery stores, bars and restaurants locally available. The place is well priced. Marta was a fantastic host with great communication and always willing to help with answering any of our questions. Marta also gave great recommendations for places to eat around the area. The video showing you how to get into the apartment was very helpful too. The apartment was great with two bedrooms and a relaxing living area. The kitchen is small but more than enough, we did not actually cook there as we were on a short city visit and always eat out, however, everything is there if you want to cook for yourself on a longer stay for example. Highly recommend Marta as a host and her apartment, you will not be disappointed - if I go to Madrid again, I will not hesitate to book Marta's apartment again,

Amazing stay! The location was perfect, right in the middle of the city centre. Plaza Mayor was a five minute walk. The apartment had everything we needed, including a washing machine which was amazing. Everything was spic and span, WiFi worked well, kitchen was well equipped.... can't recommend this place enough! We were with a party of 4 and the apartment was definitely big enough to host us all. When we return to Madrid, we will definitely try to book with Marta and Enrique again. The location was great, very central to everything. Do keep in mind that living quarters in Europe tend to be much smaller than what we're used in the States. Both bedrooms were fairly snug, same with both bathrooms. If you have any disabilities or are larger-bodied, you will have a hard time getting in and out of the showers. All rooms have AC/heating units and there's an extra blanket underneath one of the beds if you like sleeping with more than just sheets. We felt fairly safe and secure as well. The main building door and apartment door are handled by an wifi-enabled lock through your phone, and Marta provides physical keys in case wifi is out. I stayed here with my husband and my two older parents and Marta's place covered all of our basic necessities!

We stayed for 4 nights and the location was perfect - we were able to walk to most sites we had planned to see and the metro was just around the corner. The living area of the apartment was large and comfortable. The kitchen was basic - no ice cube trays in freezer (34-38 C° during our stay!), enough coffee for one pot, no sugar. A coffee machine but no pods. The en suite bedroom was very small - the armoire in it took up a lot of space but had no shelves for storage, only hanging space. I kept toiletries in a basket on top of the armoire as there was just a small shelf in the bathroom. Tiny sink in en suite but showers in both bathrooms good size. The other bedroom was larger, room to walk around both sides of the bed. The AC in both bedrooms worked poorly and shut off during the night - we kept the bedroom doors open so living room AC would keep us cool.

The apartment is attractive, clean and generally really good, and the location is fantastic. You can walk to all the main tourist attractions, and the barrios it’s in (Embajadores and La Latina) are fabulous for eating and strolling. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The beds/bedding could be improved - not hugely comfortable and most of the pillows were covered cushions, and the two per bed that weren’t, were pretty lumpy. Our biggest problem was the digital keyless entry system failed twice during our stay. The first time (because we’d mastered the system) we didn’t have the physical key with us, and were locked out of the apartment for over half an hour at night. A very kind helper came and let us in. We then requested a second physical key, which the owners provided, in case it happened again. And it did, the next day. If you’re planning on doing separate activities from your travelling companions during the day, you might request a physical key for each person in your party.

Marta’s flat is a great place to stay if you are visiting Madrid. It’s spacious, clean and modern. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are great. The location is perfect for walking to all the tourist spots and there are loads of great restaurants and bars nearby. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. The only minor problem was that the air conditioning in the bedrooms is not particularly cold, even on the coldest setting.

The Airbnb is exactly as described and in a great location close to attractions, great restaurants (C. de la Cava Baja is less than a 5 minute walk) and close to the metro and bus stops. Considering how central the apartment is, it was quiet at night. The hosts were very responsive and communication was great. It was really nice to have a place with a washing machine after traveling for almost 1 week prior to our stay in Madrid.

As a group of 4, this was a fantastic stay, very close to the centre of Madrid and lots of metro’s nearby to easily get about if you didn’t want to walk. The apartment was very clean and cosy. The only issue we had was as an English family the TV did not support our language and therefore was never used. The surrounding people were very accommodating and always helped with directions. The Airbnb was in a great neighborhood with lots to do but the apartment was very quiet which made it easy to sleep. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we wanted and more. This location was AMAZING! It was our first time in Madrid but after this stay I can confidently say it will not be our last! The check-in process was very easy, and Marta was extremely accommodating- allowing drop off our luggage before check in time so that we could peruse the city. Marta was extremely responsive and helpful, with both necessities and non-necessities. We had some trouble checking into the front door as the system was down, but she had somebody come over immediately to let us in and fixed the issue so that we would have no further trouble getting into the residence. The location of this stay is everything, it’s in walking distance to many of the attractions that we traveled to see, and is located right down the street from this amazing bakery (we stopped there twice a day). Further, the space was great for us. There was plenty of room to put our things and to manage as if we were at home. I will definitely be back to stay at this Airbnb for years to come!

If you have a light sleep and go to bed early, maybe take earplugs, it is indeed possible to hear in one of the bedrooms noises of footsteps and flush from the apartment above. Well-equipped, comfortable and as advertised. Marta gives is very clear instructions, as well as restaurant recommendations. She's always attentive:)

The location was superb and overall check in process was not too bad. The property is smaller than we expected because the Queen sized bed is actually a double size bed for North American sizing. And there was no tissue box or paper towel available. Bath towels were quite hard. But communication was great, easy access to everything, and the property was very clean.

Marta’s place was great! Amazing location close to la latina station (2 minute walk) and a very close walk to the market. We found we had all the essentials and our electronic check in was quite cool and convenient. Super fast Internet as well. Very safe feeling area and close to many restaurants/ shops. I do have to mention one of the bathrooms was unusable due to an extremely strong musty/ mold smell (ensuite bathroom). When the door was closed it did not smell in the rest of the apt so this was our work around, but I did not feel comfortable using it due to this issue. Other than that the rest of the apartment was spotless, clean and felt very homey.

Look for no other place if you plan to sty in Madrid, whether you are traveling with friends or like my husband and I, with our 9-month baby and my mom. The apartment had all you may need on top of the great location, in a vibrant neighbourhood and within walking distance of most of Madrid attractions. the location of the flat is perfect in a lively neighbourhood- lot's of cafés, restaurants, shops. Plaza de Mayor is a 5 minutes walk by feet. the famous flea market of El Rastro is around the corner. the interior of the apartment is not just handy but truly nice. Very well decorated and equipped. we felt immediately at home. Communication was always proactive and very helpful/ friendly. We had an unfortunate delay in our check-in procedure, but Marta was very helpful to get the situation solved immediately. I can 100% recommend this lovely accommodation.

The accommodation is located in Madrid's old town and is ideal to walk to many of the beautiful sights Madrid has to offer. The apartment is spacious, well equipped with all the required essentials, and because of the heatwave Madrid experienced, it was a blessing to have air conditioning. It is also very quiet, so there's no problem having a good night's (or days 😊) sleep. Our host Marta provided great communication prior to, during and after our stay. The place was perfect and very centrally located in La Latina and really easy to get to. Everything is around here from supermarket to restaurants and the tapas bars. Sightseeing is in the doorstep as well with lazy mayor 5 minutes away, the palace 10 minutes and Pravda museum 20 minutes walking. The place itself was great and very clean. Despite the busy nature of La Latina, the apartment is extremely quiet. Marta and Enrique were great and very helpful with local recommendations and advice on how to get around. The places they recommended were excellent. They made the stay very easy and we’re very helpful. I would easily recommend this place and will look to come back again and stay here.

Cute and practical apartment in an excellent location in the center. The owners of the house were friendly. The apartment has air conditioners that it was very important in the heat of July. The apartment is very well decorated. One disadvantage: The mattress in the bedroom without the toilet is a curve on an incline and therefore it was problematic to sleep 2 people there. If a mattress is changed then the apartment will be perfect. The price is a bit expensive but it's probably because of the peak of the season

Travelled with 1y old baby, the place was just perfect - well located, 20 minutes walk from almost everything, with a lot to see and shop around but still remains very quiet, which was important for us. This comfortable apartment is in a hip neighborhood within 7 minutes walking distance of Plaza Mayor. Plaza de Carroscos is a few blocks away with lots of fun restaurants and outdoor cafes. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Prado museum and other sites, and an easy bus or metro ride. We found the apartment to be exactly as described, as well as clean, cool, and comfortable. The building is lovely, on a relatively quiet side street. As I was traveling with my teenager, we welcomed the two separate bedrooms and our own bathrooms, as well as the shared common space. The host was helpful, friendly, and responsive. It was a pleasant experience and we would consider staying there again for future visits to Madrid.

This apartment is centrally located and was perfect for our trip. Check-in was chaotic; Marta sent instructions using the metro, and after paying for the metro we faced a 13 minute walk (with luggage, through crowds) to the key drop before the 5 minute walk to the apartment, so we then paid for a taxi. :( The windows face patios so there is no outside noise. I am a light sleeper and slept well with the air conditioner 'white noise' in our bedroom. The hosts can't control this, but the neighbors above the apartment were noisy both early and late-it sounded like they were moving furniture. One of the neighbors also smokes and a slight smoke smell lingers by the door; however, my daughter has smoke allergies and it did not bother her. We loved having the washing machine. As advertised, there is no shampoo; there was a coffee machine but no coffee pods so we bought some. Marta was helpful with food suggestions and also advised us about shopping for toiletries which we really appreciated.

The flat is very, very quiet because it is located at the back of the building. It is spotless and it has 2 full bathrooms which is unusual for a small flat in Europe. The beds are very comfy and the place is homey. The location is very good, a 5 minutes walk to the Plaza Mayor and a 20 minutes walk to the Royal Palace. Plenty of good restaurants around ! Marta has been most helpful and her son too. Thank you for a wonderful stay and Madrid is such a somptuous city ! C'est un coup de coeur 💜💙💚 !

The host was very easy to get ahold of. We had a shower unable to drain and was fixed quickly. The images posted do portray a better condition of the space. Bedding linens need to be updated and apartment could use a deep clean. I did report a bug issue to the owner and she stated she was working on getting it taken care of. Would of made the stay better if we didn’t have such a bug problem. Location was great.

Apartment in itself is fairly nice, and well arranged. Cleaning impeccable. Missed some kitchen things, e.g. a bowl, which tells me that no one has lived there regularly for quite some time. Apartment is withdrawn from the street and immediately next to other buildings, meaning there is literally no view at all (looking into a wall) and air quality is debatable. Poorly insulated so the (noisy) heaters needed to run to just hold a reasonable temperature. Neighborhood is nice for a limited period of time; also noisy and congested.

Ideal location for exploring Madrid. Great restaurants nearby (highly recommend El Imparcial - it’s super close and has amazing food) and very close to the metro. It’s right by the El Rastro flea market and close to Plaza de España. Marta gave us some great restaurant recommendations as well. The elevator was super helpful with our luggage. Two things to keep in mind: The pictures for the apartment appear bright, but it is actually surrounded on all sides so there is not much natural sunlight. You also have to pick up the key from a lockbox, which might be tricky if you have a lot of luggage. But the locker is very close to the apartment so it was not a big deal. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Gracias Marta y Arturo!

We really enjoyed staying in an apartment that was clean and tidy when we arrived. The communication with the hosts was pleasant and flowing, we received recommendations at our request, and helped with the taxi organization from and back to the airport. The showers and toilets are clean, the kitchen and the rooms are also clean. The apartment is fully equipped with what you need for a short and very pleasant stay. The location is excellent and close to the central places. In the pictures it looks like the rooms and the apartment are larger than they are in real life, not that there is no actual space but there is a gap to be prepared at. There are three air conditioners in the apartment, which work fine. The sofa in the central space opens to a third bed, if privacy is important for those who sleep on it then it will be less suitable. Bottom line: I highly recommend it.

Central location in a great neighborhood with a juice shop on one corner, a bakery/coffee shop on the other, and a grocery store only two minutes away. Five-minute walk from Plaza Mayor and the delicious Mercado San Miguel. Close to two different metro stops. The only thing that would make this apartment better would be if it had a balcony or anywhere to sit outside, but it opens up to the center of the building, so only windows. Marta was an attentive and communicative host. We felt very cared for while staying here.

We enjoyed our stay there. It's a beautiful apartment located at the one of the best neighborhoods. Grocery stores, cafes, bars, pharmacy are all one minute away. Walking distance to a lot of major tourist attractions. Love the self check-in idea but with luggage on hand, it takes a few minutes to get the key before heading to the place. It would be perfect if we are provided enough garbage bags, coffee capsules, and shampoo too.

Absolutely perfect location in a young, fun neighborhood. Everything is walkable! One minute walk away from a corner bakery, one minute walk away from some clothing stores, a 24h convenience store, and a couple restaurants. Two minutes from El Rastro flea market, five minutes from Carrefour (grocery store) and other groceries, five minutes to the metro station, ten minutes to Plaza Mayor. We stayed for a week. The location is great - 10-20 mins walking to everything and many great restaurants less than 5 mins away. Marta was quick to respond and sent great recommendations for places to eat, museums, and even flamenco! The place was a good size - the bathroom a little small but manageable! The beds were soft and the heat worked well. We had to buy toilet paper, paper towels, and coffee pods since they didn’t supply enough (2 pods and 2 rolls of tp). I’d say this is a good place for a few nights. If we come back to Madrid I’ll definately look at the other places Marta has!

Marta's place was absolutely great! She was an incredibly considerate host and even went above and beyond to get us a high chair for my baby and booking us taxis with a car seat! Excellent communication. The beds were very comfortable to come back to after a long day of exploring the city. We slept really well! We never heard the noise and bustle outside despite the apartment being in one of the most busiest areas of Madrid. It was absolutely quiet. The vibe of the apartment was exactly what we needed for comfort with a baby in tow. It also had everything we needed, we did cook some light meals and it was just perfect! Thank you Marta! The apartment is very nicely decorated, has two full bathrooms and all main things to have a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful time!

Marta’s place is everything you ask for and more! It’s in prime location that allows you to walk over to sightsee all the main attractions in Madrid. Also, when we arrived, the place was sparkling clean! Lisi and Marta checked in with us to see if we needed anything more during our stay, and they were super quick to respond to our messages. Marta and Lisi are excellent hosts. Check-in was easy and communication was quick. The apartment is as beautiful as the pictures show: very clean, comfortable and cozy. For our family of 3 it was wonderful to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms—a luxury when traveling. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped for simple meal prep (no oven, but you’re in Madrid and should go eat at the many wonderful restaurants!) The location was unbeatable for access to so many sites of Madrid either by foot or metro (2 lines are within a couple of blocks). The neighborhood is bustling with plenty of shopping and eating possibilities steps away. Though the neighborhood is busy, the apartment is very quiet due to its interior location. Still, plenty of windows allow for a lot of natural light. I hope to return to Madrid, and would absolutely stay at Marta’s apartment again!

Overall, the apartment was as expected. It is centrally located and within walking distance of a lot of attractions, restaurants, and metro stations. It’s fairly close to several tapas bars, so be aware that there’s quite a bit of foot traffic in the area (which can be a good or bad thing in terms of safety). The apartment was ready for us later than promised and check-in was not as smooth as expected, so be sure to maintain communication with the hosts to stay updated about your check-in.

A lovely apartment in a great neighborhood. Very well maintained and comfortable. The apartment is a short walk to two metro stations putting most of Madrid at your finger tips. There is a great bakery just a few steps away and a large market within a couple of blocks. The area is full of interesting, old streets with restaurants everywhere.

Super location! You can reach the most areas within 10-20 minutes by walk. Super neighborhood restaurants, everything you need is just 2-3 minutes walk distance! Super communication and very fast feedback, the local suggestions regards restaurants are really good! Very helpful, when I had problem with the coffee machine, Marta and her husband immediately came for check and fix, really nice! It’s really a very nice apartment to live in if you want to explore Madrid. We enjoyed the stay very much and would like to recommend you all.

Marta’s apartment is located at the city centre down the road from Plaza Mayor which is Madrid’s biggest attraction point. It is super well connected to the other parts of the main city and you can walk up to the metro station which is 3 minutes away or the Madrid train station which is 20 mins away on foot. As far as the place is concerned, I did find the place a little smaller than the pictures, however, it didn’t even bother us even once because of the little things and amenities provided by Marta in the house. The house is really cozy for a small family (which is great) and it really was a great start to our trip in Spain. It is well designed and smallest of things are thought through. This place is highly highly recommended for folks to stay.

The central location of this flat is hard to beat. It’s very easy to get around the city. The flat was clean and cool, which was really impossible during the summer heat. I really appreciated being able to do laundry as we are on a long trip. Having 2 bathrooms was really helpful. The flat is really comfortable for 4 people. Marta’s and Lisi’s home was great. 1. It was very clean. 2. It is bright with all the windows. 3. The beds were very comfortable 4. We were able to walk to most of the top sites to see in Madrid. 5. There is a small Chinese grocery “Nan-Yea” store about 2 doors down (for cold drinks and many small delicious snacks) 6. There is a larger super market “Dia” a little farther down in opposite direction. 7. Lisi was very good in quickly replying to many of my questions. 8. Taxis were extremely easy to catch nearby. 9. If you arrive early before checkin or want to stay later than checkout you can leave your luggage for a small fee at “Lock and Be Free” around the corner. If you need extra towels or blankets lift the bed up as they have storage space underneath. Overall my family enjoyed resting and sleeping in this very cozy home.

Fantastic place and great location. As mentioned in previous review comments, many of the tourist attractions are within walking distance; we rarely needed to use the Metro. We were checked-in by Lisi's nephew, and were given a city map and some recommendations on where to eat, places to see, and nightlife locations. The place was very clean, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we need to cook a meal. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to visit in Madrid.

Place was great. Bathrooms are a little small and there are no external windows (only facing inside the building light well. Place was a great value and everything is close by and super walk-able. I was a bit disturbed by a sign on the door that said "Do not open the door to anyone." It spoke about the 79/14 decree regulating holiday homes as hotels and asking us to state that we are friends of the renters and that the flat is not rented as there have been attempts to gain entry to carry out inspections / shut down this rental. After two weeks in Spain staying at at least 5 other AirBnB's this was the first we heard anything about it.

Very good location between two metro stops (La Latina and Tirso de Molina) and easy walking distance to main sights. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Nice modern kitchen, clothes washer and dish washer worked well. Host’s assistant Stephanie who met us was awesome, very informative and knowledgeable and very friendly and responsive. She arranged for a taxi to the airport on departure. Lots of good local markets for groceries and short walk to Mercado De la Cebada, traditional indoor Mercado. Be careful if you arrive on Sunday - El Rastro Street market blocks entrance to the street the apartment is located on so we had to walk two blocks with bags. There is an elevator in the building but it is a late add to an old building so you have to walk a flight of stairs up or down to get to the apartment door. Not too hard, but if you cannot do steps it will be a problem.

This was a perfect home-base for exploring Madrid. Everything was comfortable, clean, and well organized, with extra touches like a sewing kit for repairs. We were met with friendly recommendations and regular check-ins to see if we needed anything during our stay, and they also ordered airport pick-up and drop-off for us. We will definitely try to stay here again if we come back to Madrid! The windows look out on internal air wells and courtyards, so they're mostly there for light and air, but this also makes the apartment quieter than I expected. For people with limited mobility, please note that the elevator stops on the landing between floors, so there's still 1/2 flight of stairs to the apartment. The neighborhood is fantastic, so nothing is far away. One of us ran out in the mornings to bring back fresh pastries for breakfast - there's a bakery chain on the corner, or go around the corner a few more (tiny) shops to a local bakery with fewer choices, but lovely, crisp croissants (0.50 a piece) and other delights.

We loved this place! All the amenities are on point. The location is great with wonderful places to eat very close by. Our favorite was el mercado San Miguel. Everything in the apartment was really nice and clean. I only have a word of caution for larger guests. The bathroom inside the bedroom is really tight and the shower door so narrow that is a bit difficult to get in and out of the shower. Having said that, we would definitely book again.

This is a great place to stay. The apartment was sooo comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were nice. To me that’s almost the important thing. We had everything we needed without having to stock up on household essentials. The location was incredible. We walked to almost everything. To me that’s amazing. We would usually be taking some kind of paid transportation. There were great restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We took a local to one place, Toga, she said was the best meal she’s had in Madrid. The apartment is great and has a really homely and chilled out feel. We really enjoyed staying in this apartment the location is brilliant, we stayed during the festival period and didn’t hear any noise from the street at all, day or night! The amenities were great and the decor and personal touches made the space lovely to relax in, being 2 weeks in Madrid was made all the better for having a lovely place to head back to after a big day or evening of wondering around the cities sites and bars! The team are really accommodating and very keen to support your needs, we had an issue with WiFi as we needed to increase the broadband width (its a standard speed and fine for most families needs, we needed it for work purposes too), and although we didn’t manage to get exactly what we needed we did get a positive resolve to the situation and Marta and Lisi did everything they could to come up with some great solutions. Just for this alone I would really recommend the team, they are extremely helpful and accommodating especially helping us out with our friend who came for the last few days of our break, making sure she had everything she needed and letting her have a little extra time in apartment to get organised before her transport to the airport. So - yes a fab apartment, great team, happy 😃 holidays!

Marta's place is in a wonderful location. You can walk to so many places. On Sunday mornings they have a wonderful market set up on the streets that goes on for many blocks and it starts just one block from the apartment. There is a great grocery store just a few blocks to the right as you walk out the front door. The prices are very reasonable and they have everything you need and there is a second floor (which we didn't notice the first time). There are so many restaurants in the area that it is hard to choose which to go to.

The best place to stay in Madrid, it looks exactly like in the photos here, the building is beautiful and is really close to everthing you want to visit in Madrid Center (3 metro stations, with different routes just around the corner), very easy access to other places, good restaurants around, markets and shops. Don't think, just book! This apt is in a lovely location - 5 minute walk to plaza mayor and 2 minutes from the metro. The apt itself is beautiful - you can tell its newly renovated and they really put in the time and effort to make it pop. It's also quite spacious - comfortable for 3 people to stay. Marta was also very responsive and responded right away when I had any questions throughout my stay. Thanks again!

This was a beautiful place to stay. It's a great location for walking around Madrid (central, most tourist attractions are within walking distance). The apartment was very clean. Michelle and Marta allowed us to drop off our luggage before check-in because our plane landed early in the morning, and this was very appreciated!

This apartment was centralized and easy to get to; it is located in the historical district of Madrid. The metro station was 2 minutes away (on foot); it was a block away from Plaza Mayor, and pretty close to everything else in Madrid. The apartment itself had all the amenities that you will need, especially if you like to make your own breakfast (and/or dinner) prior to venturing out and explore. Michelle and Marta were very responsive, friendly, and went the extra mile to give you tips about what to do in Madrid. Our flight got delayed and we didn't get into the apartment until after 1:30 AM, and Michelle was there to meet us. I like the fact that there are two bathrooms and two bedrooms. There is a grocery (Dia) store very close to the apartment, where you can find pretty much anything that you will need for a family (in the US). Also, there was a convenient store right next to the apartment, where they owner (Vietnamese) sell home made food. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Madrid. Close to all tourist attractions in the city (and very easy to walk around). Thank you Marta and Michelle.

My family and I loved Marta's apartment. It is beautiful, clean, and the location is unbeatable. It's in Barrio de la Latina and walkable to so many Madrid attractions. There are plenty of places to eat and drink after a long day of sightseeing. The apartment has been done up really nicely, and our check in was very smooth. Michelle, who checked us in, marked several things on the map for us and gave us some very useful information on things we might want to see or where we might want to eat, shop, etc. The bedroom with the attached bathroom is a bit tight on space, as is said attached bathroom. But that's literally the only negative thing I have to say about Marta's place. If I went to Madrid again, I would definitely stay in this apartment.

A gem. Such a nice apartment and perfectly situated in the city. Some neighbours are doing renovations so unfortunately it came with some early morning construction noises but that's just life. Not a reflection of the apartment. If you need to sleep in, you may want to inquire about the status of the neighbourly construction. Marta's daughter met us at the door and allowed me to leave my bag 4 hours earlier then check-in which was incredibly kind. She proceeded to give us a map of the city and restaurant recommendations amongst other things. She was lovely and a true hostess. Also, the kitchen is incredibly well stocked with cooking equipment and also with teas and coffee and salad dressing etc. I recommend this place.

We are a group of 4 (i.e. 2 couples). This is our first experience using Airbnb. We were very impressed with Marta as host. She personally met us upon our arrival. Marta took the time necessary to show us the apartment’s amenities. As well, she provided all necessary information about the Latina neighbourhood, which is quite central, easily within walking distance to Latina Metro station, Plaza Mayor, Padro Museum, etc. The apartment was nice and clean and well decorated. It looked exactly as shown in the photos. Being located in the old part of the city, the apartment has a decent size, although the washroom inside the master bedroom is a bit small. Marta is a perfect host in every sense of the word. On the day of our departure, she arranged for the taxi to pick us up to Madrid Atocha Train Station for our next destination. Marta met us on arrival and explained how everything worked & where we would find the best tapas etc. the apartment is exactly as it is portrayed on the photos and is well located for walking to the major attractions in Madrid's old city. The only issue we had during our 3 day stay was the noise from the bars on the street on Saturday night which went on till around 2am, but if we were 30 years younger we would probably have been down there till 2am ! The windows are double glazed and actually cuts out most of the noise. The apartment was very clean & comfortable, and had many small touches that made a difference (like cooking condiments, coffee etc). This was our first Airbnb, but we would be happy to return again in the future.

We had a perfect stay at Marta's apartment. It is in a GREAT location, two minutes from La Latina metro stop, 5 minutes from Plaza Mayor and Cava Baja (the tapas district). There were four of us and it fit our needs perfectly. The apartment has everything you need for a wonderful visit to Madrid. Marta gave us recommendations for places to eat and shop on a handy fold up map. She was available for us the entire week were were there. She even checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time. If we are ever back in Madrid we will stay here again!

We arrived at La Latina metro and was greeted by Marta herself, who came from the apartment to ensure we found our way there quickly. The apartment is in an amazing location 2 mins from la Latina metro and a 5 minute walk from Playa Mayor (turn right out of the apartment and walk straight for 5 mins). It is however, quiet and not in a tourist hub- so perfect. If you cross over the road and walk 5 mins in a different direction you are in Cava Baja, the tapas district, mainly local and much cheaper than the centre. It was a great location. The apartment is clean and quiet and perfect for a stay in Madrid, Marta has provided everything. There are towels, a hair dryer, and a full stocked kitchen (appliances not food!). I found this apartment perfect for our weekend due to its location, and enjoyed resting in it when we were not site seeing. I had been to Madrid the previous year, and so knew the area. I had no idea how good a location this place is in. It really is an excellent apartment, with an excellent and helpful host.

We met Marta at the apartment and she was so incredibly helpful and kind! She showed us some great places to eat and shop on the map. She was available for the entire time through the trip. The place itself was comfortable and very clean on the inside. So much light in this apartment, too. Marta even offered to hold our bags for us while the apartment was being cleaned on the day of our departure so we could stay a bit longer (we didn't end up taking her up on this, but we appreciated it). Only down side of this apartment was one bathroom was very small, and construction noise/cigarette smoke came in through the windows, which was annoying. Not Marta's fault at all, but something to be considered.

Marta was a great host; she not only responded quickly to questions we had, she contacted us to ask of we needed anything. The apartment isn't huge, but we and another couple found it comfortable and liked having our own bathroom. Good location, very close to public transportation and parking (which isn't cheap). The neighborhood is bustling and local, but it isn't far from Plazas Mayor or Sol, many restaurants, and a great food market with dozens of stalls. In terms of cost, it's a good deal.

We were a group of 4 staying at Marta's apt. She was there to greet us upon our arrival. She gave us a map of Madrid with tips on restaurants close by, flamenco shows and travel by the Madrid Metro. She responded quickly to my text. She's a wonderful host. The apt is on the 4th (US definition) with an elevator (great with luggage!). The whole building seems to have been renovated recently. The apt has 2 baths which is great. It is spotless and clean which is very important to me. The location is absolutely fantastic. It is 1/4 mile away from the Plaza Mayor and is basically in the center of all the attractions. We walked to most of the attractions and restaurants. The Rastro flea market, held on Sundays, is only 1 block away. The location is safe. Even though its in a busy location the bedrooms are quiet and you will be able to sleep. We made great use of the washer for clothes. Bear in mind that most European apts do not have dryers and clothes are hung dry. We would definitely stay here again!! We felt very comfortable in the 9 days in Madrid in Marta's apartment. Very centrally located in the middle of a very enjoyable zone of Madrid, but still very quiet, as the apartment does not lead to the street but to the courtyard. Marta and Adolfo welcomed us very nicely when we arrived. The apartment looks exactly like the photos, the subways are 3-5 minutes away, as well as shopping and a number of cafes and pubs. The Rastro flea market is also within walking distance. We would book this apartment again and again. We also got lots of good tips and were also able to get in touch with Marta at any time. I highly recommend this flat. Cute, comfortable, cheerful, well decorated, well equipped (it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable), super clean , tidy. The bathrooms are perfect and the rooms are comfortable and cute. The neighborhood is well located and very nice: a bohemian touch, full of cafes and bookstores. Martha was very kind. Recommended whether you're going for tourism or work.

Very nice house, convinent public tansport. The railway station is just 5 minutes walk. Plaza Mayor and St Miguel Market are just 10 minutes walk. The apartment is bright and comfortable, everything is new and clean. Marta is helpful and kind, told us a lot about visiting Madrid. Fabulous stay!

To begin, Marta and her husband were very kind and responsive. They provided guidance prior to our arrival and met us exactly as planned. They then gave us a lot of great ideas on places to visit during our stay. The apartment is in a great location. Very urban but you don't hear street noise at all. There is an elevator in the building that takes you within a few stairs of the floor. There is a metro stop very close by. We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment had everything we needed. We appreciated the coffee and tea. The small kitchen was modern and super clean, as were the bathrooms. The bedding was great and there are closets in both bedrooms. There is ample seating in the living area. (Note: there is a washing machine and clothes rack too.) Marta was also helpful when we decided to extend our trip by another day and to depart a little later than regular check-out. We were really happy with our choice!

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Madrid (5 min walk to Mayor Square and Sun Miguel Market where you can have a wonderful lunch/dinner in an indescribable atmosphere). Marta is a very hospitable host, at the scheduled time met us and explained everything we needed to feel in Madrid like we knew a city already! We traveled with two families and children (two boys 10 years old each). The only significant disadvantage for us is the terrible Internet in the apartments. He worked either very slowly (it was not even possible to get/send mail, let alone children's toys) or not at all. For us, this is important, since together with some work issues it was necessary to bonuses in the next city of our trip - we did it in a nearby cafe. If the Internet does not matter - the apartment is highly recommended!

A++++ thank you Marta for a great airbnb experience. The flat is exactly as pictured, clean, spacious and v nicely decorated. The area is perfectly central and easy to walk to all the main sites. Despite the central location, the flat is in the center of the complex, meaning it is quiet at night despite any street noise. Communication with Marta was always quick and easy, highly recommended.

Very friendly hosts with great recommendation on local bars and restaurants. Two bedrooms and a comfy sofabed in the living room means the flat was more than enough for three guys. Also in a great location, walking distance to great nightlife, markets and shopping.
