This property is a true gem, perfectly straddling Malasaña and Chueca. We spent 5 wonderful days and from the moment we walked in the door we felt like we were home. For Madrid, the apartment is quite large and the extra half bath was a great bonus. We had the windows open all day and night, enjoying the sounds of a thriving city. We look forward to returning soon.

This place was quite literally in the heart of city! All the great clothing boutiques, restaurants and bars you name it were right outside. We felt like we were really part of Madrid. Our host Marta was definitely a touchstone for recommendations. If you’re looking for the real Spain experience stay here. We definitely will next time fore sure!

The place has some great charm with large French windows and hardwood floors. It’s also very large and centrally located. Many of the amenities and furniture are very worn out, need maintenance and don’t look as nice as the pics. The place was not very clean. Also, we were provided one towel per person for 5 days and no extra linens which seems odd. It’s in a busy and very loud area, but quiet when windows closed. With a few minor upgrades and amenities this place would be 5-stars easily.

Very cute apartment in a very prime area of the center of Madrid. The apartment looks onto a busy street featuring lots of pedestrian traffic and many modern, trendy boutiques. Although somewhat noisy during business hours, once the stores close it becomes surprisingly quiet at night, enabling us to always sleep quite peacefully even though the nightlife in the surrounding area is amazingly active. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, all within a short walking distance. A well-stocked Mercadona supermarket is conveniently located less than a block away, as are many other food market & retail options. Chueca, Malasaña and other famous, must-see neighborhoods are all just a hop, skip & jump away. Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and Parque del Retiro are also easily accessible. The host provides detailed info as to how to operate all the appliances which was quite useful as European appliances work slightly differently from how they usually do in the U.S.

The place is exactly like in the pictures and its location is a 10/10. It has everything you need and it’s super comfortable and close to everything. Marta and Enrique were amazing and the communication was a 10/10 too. However, the apt is extremely noisy in my opinion especially on the weekends. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were okay and I was able to sleep well. But we got there Friday and it was pretty bad. Drunk people screaming, the guys from the trash making a lot of noise. This has nothing to do with the host or the airbnb, it’s just a very centric location but if you prioritize sleep and rest during vacation, I do not recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at Marta and Enrique’s apartment. From the beginning, they were incredibly kind and thoughtful with their communication, checking in often and making sure I had everything I needed. The instructions for arrival were clear and easy to follow, and the apartment itself was spotless, comfortable, and just as beautiful as the pictures. The location on Calle Fuencarral was perfect—plenty of shops and restaurants right outside the door, and still an easy walk to the heart of Madrid. I really appreciated the local restaurant recommendations, which made my time in the neighborhood even better. Marta and Enrique were truly attentive hosts who made me feel welcome from start to finish. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

It was a beautifully arranged space.Even when I was tired from walking around the city, I could quickly return to my room, and the supermarket was nearby, making it a very convenient location. The host responded quickly, and I felt a high sense of service and security. If I had to say one thing, it was that it faces a busy street, so it was noisy until late at night, and I often woke up in the middle of the night because of the noise. It is not recommended for a woman to walk alone in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Other than that, I think it's perfect. Thank you for your help.

The Spanish charm of this apartment (including the floor-to-ceiling windows that actually open), combined with the modern appointments, is what drew me to this place. However, location, location, location was its strongest suit. The place is surrounded by shops and restaurants of every kind. A full grocery store is a mere block away. Oh, and the Gran Via is just a short walk down the street. As for the apartment itself, it is HUGE (2 bathrooms). Marta and Enrique were excellent hosts, very helpful, kind, and communicative. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

We have visited Madrid every summer since 2018 and this flat is hands down the most luxurious, well appointed and spacious. Everything is wonderful, beautiful natural light, the AC works very well, the extra half bath is a major plus. All things at your disposal outside the building. I will book this place again.

Marta was a great host, and her place was perfect for what my girlfriend and I were looking for while visiting Madrid. Check in was easy with an app to lock and unlock the door. This apartment is centrally located in the heart of Malasaña, most of the restaurants and sites we visited were a 20 min walk or shorter. The place was clean and decorated well. The apartment is nice and location is good, easy walkable to most of the interesting areas. The response from Marta is quick and helpful. However, there is a problem of noise during night time. There is a restaurant /bar near the apartment and people keep drinking and talking loudly even in the mid night. I m not sure is it only happened during our stay or it is normal situation. Anyway, we have a good trip in Madrid, the flea market, the flamenco, the foods..etc

Beautiful large apartment with plenty of storage space, large kitchen and bathrooms. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. They suggested a restaurant, Desengaño 13 that turned-out to be one of the best during our 6 week adventure. We should mention that the bedroom has a couple of very squeaky spots on the floor near the bathroom, and the street outside can be a little noisy, especially on weekends or during events (eg soccer games). I would look to stay here again.

Fite was great. helped me with a couple of things. always helpful. the apartment is beautiful, spacious, and greatly located. cant do better, and i have been doing airbnb in madrid for years. what's outstanding, is that apartment has a full bathroom (large size, above normal for madrid), and another half bathroom. windows offer great light. i worked while there, and having a good view of street is nice when youre stuck working inside. highly recommend it.

We loved this apartment and the lively shopping area where it is located. The space was perfect for our visit to Madrid and to spend time with our son and his friends. Especially loved that there some spices and other nonperishable items available in the kitchen so we were able to have meals there more easily and the mattress was high quality. The metro is only one block away and there is a taxi stop there as well, so getting around town was super easy and many food options nearby (grocery store and restaurants). Would definitely return and stay here again if we head back to Madrid in the future. Thanks!

We had a great time in the appartment at Calle Fuencarral. The location was right in the middle of La Chueca and Malasana where hundreds of bars, shops and restarurants are. The appartment was well equiped and spacious. We will definately be back next time.

Lovely and large apartment. Great furniture and rooms. Nice big bathroom. Missing kitchen utensils, such as wine glasses, smaller water glasses, etc. One of the toilets in the bathrooms was not cleaned. There is a lot of noise at night nearby, so you can't sleep with an open window to get air in. We arrived in Madrid at 10am, the host was not prepared to let us in earlier than the check-in time at 4pm, which was completely fair. But when we arrived at the apartment at 4 pm, we couldn't lock ourselves in and it sounded like someone was in there, we rang the bell several times and couldn't get in. Had to call the host - the cleaning lady was still there, we were let in but couldn't be in some places as the floor was wet. The cleaning lady was not finished, despite the other guests having checked out by 11am - 5 hours earlier. We only had the apartment to ourselves around 17.

We had a great stay! With the app Marta provided, we were able to easily check-in and get into the apartment the first time and every time. The apartment was very roomy. With the inner French doors open, we had trees just outside and plenty of light during the day. The second half bathroom was a nice surprise. The apartment’s location made it easy to walk to almost anywhere we wanted to go. There was also a large supermarket only a couple of minutes away, which was great! As other guests had mentioned, the street noise, particularly at night, was lively, but with the inner doors closed, it was considered reduced and not a problem. The only downside was that the wooden floors were very squeaky (as old wooden floors can be!) and loud, particularly between the bedroom and bathroom. I was about concerned about waking my spouse, but also concerned about disturbing others in the building. Marta was a great host! Thank you!

The pull out couch is very uncomfortable but the unit overall is nice. Not recommended for two sleeping beds. The bedroom is nice. The bathtub is missing a tap, the shower needs drain to clear the pipes and the front door knob is kinda falling off

The apartment is very well located. it is quiet despite the area it is in. The AA was working properly and very good WiFi. The sofa bed is roto and although they tried to fix it, they could not. The upholstery and the cushions are dirty for a lot of use. Missing some kitchenware, like glasses and some fountain.

The space is large and comfortable, located on the 2nd floor just above the busy street. The bluetooth door lock works but can be a little confusing and awkward. The kitchen is adequate but the refrigerator has a distinct smell. Other than that, the space was comfortable and worked well.

The apartment looks just like in the pictures. Big and comfortable for us 2. We didn’t use the sofa bed so I couldn’t say about whether is comfortable or not. The bed was very comfortable, the other 3 sofas also very comfortable and the 1 1/2 bath a life saver :) In the main bathroom there is a jacuzzi that we didn’t use but looked nice, clean and in perfect condition. We also worked a few days and the wifi was as good as at home. The apartment has 4 nice and big windows that when closed, muffled and stopped all the noise form a busy and vibrant street (welcome to Madrid!). The kitchen was full and with all you need to do basic meals. Just a few meters from the apartment, there is a big supermarket Mercadona. In brief: great apartment and great hosts! We really enjoyed it Thank you Marta and Enrique!

Our trip to Madrid was fantastic. We stayed 5 nights. The apartment is exactly as advertised. The location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything, right next to the metro, next to great bars and some of the best restaurants in town, and can walk to center in 15 minutes. The apartment was very clean, everything worked very well. Bed was great. As others have noted, the street below the apartment is very lively and can be noisy at night. However, if you close the shutters, you hear nothing. They work very well. We heard nothing after doing that. I would highly recommend this apartment if you are going to Madrid and want to be in the midst of everything it has to offer.

Fuencarral is a perfect location for people who want to stay In a vibrant part of Madrid. Close to restaurants, shopping, metro and all you can think of as needed for a tourist. Loved my stay and look forward to returning. The apartment is really nice: it's big, got a lux bathroom plus a separate loo, a nicely appointed living room space with a comfortable sofa to stretch out on and nice dining/work table and a straightforward electronic lock system. Marta is really helpful with everything - she sent restaurant recommendations and made clear that she was available for anything in addition to checking in with me regularly. And it’s an excellent location. Calle de Fuencarral is a lively, busy street with lots of atmosphere and well located for walking everywhere in Madrid as well as handy for the metro. Tons of nice bars and restaurants including very local ones, in the side streets too. This apartment will be my first choice in Madrid the next time i'm there.

Marta Y Enrique's place was amazing. The location is in the heart of Madrid, with tons of restaurants and shopping at your doorstep. Unlike other reviews, we didn't suffer from any noise issues, but there are calmer neighborhoods to stay in Madrid. The apartment is very spacious and that master bathroom (chef’s kiss)! There’s also a smaller secondary bathroom that was very convenient for us. It’s located in a shopping district with a supermarket also very close by and metro stations are at walkable distances. Also, the A/C here was a godsend, as it seemed like it wasn’t guaranteed in all places. Marta was a great host who was very responsive to my questions and attentive to our needs. We wish we had stayed in Madrid longer!

Marta’s home was exactly as shown in the pictures, it made us feel at home. Its location was walkable, we could come home and rest a little bit during the day. It was also good to be able to access it by car - we didn't have to drag our luggage through the streets. Since it is in one of the main spots, it has been a little bit noisy, but it was not that disturbing for us. We had a lovely stay at Marta's place and would definitely come back again.

Large, comfortable and well located in one of Madrid’s central districts. Marta was proactive in providing details about the apartment as well as very responsive to any questions. We had no issues during our 6 night stay and felt safe & comfortable. Like many other reviews, we did feel that closing the shutters is a good idea for keeping out much of the noise from the street. We took advantage of Marta’s offer for a taxi to collect & drop at Madrid airport. I would recommend this as the process is to first pick up the keys at the locker site, the taxi will take you there, wait and then continue onto the apartment…another 1 km or so through the narrow streets.

Wonderful place to stay. Large one bedroom apartment walking distance to many interesting neighborhoods and very good restaurants; we had dinner at various restaurants no more than a 15 minute walk to different neighborhoods. Could walk to the Prado in about 20 minutes. Two minutes to the metro stop. Among the nice features in apartment: Large master bath with double sink and large, walk-in shower and tub. Second half bathroom. Clothes washer. Large living/dining/kitchen area. Many reviews noted “the noise.“ Apartment is on mid-upscale commercial street. Not wide. Some traffic, but not heavy or fast. Few trucks. You hear people if they are talking loudly as they walk by, but this isn’t a street with bars/clubs, so no continuous loud noise late at night. Close the windows and shutters and you’ll be fine. If you want to go to bed at 9 o’clock at night, why did you come to Madrid? Whatever you think about the noise issue, advantages of this apartment are strong.

The good part: The location is very central, close to most tourist attractions. The downside: this street is busy and noisy; shutting the windows help somewhat, but do bring your earplugs. The apartment is spacious enough for three people and has high ceilings, nice French windows, and a quiet A/C. The host accommodated our request to drop off the bags before check-in. Now a few problems that made me rate it with 3 stars: 1. The living room sofa bed is old and very uncomfortable; you can't use it unfolded. 2. Bread crumbs inside the sofa and the pile of clean linen; dust here and there. 3. Check-in was inconvenient - we had to pick up the key in a lock box 7 minutes walk away from the apartment. It's not great when you carry your bags. 4. The host gave us only one set of keys, which is quite inconvenient when you have three people. Our request for another set was denied. Taken together, I feel that the apartment is not a good value for its price.

We had a great stay at Marta and Nacho’s apartment. It is superbly located - assuming you want to be in the heart of bush Madrid - but surprisingly quiet during the late night. Marta’s communication was very proactive and we really appreciated the taxi she arranged to collect us from the airport, taking us first to the key locker and then to the apartment. Very small asks from the host. It would be nice to have more glasses (especially for wine) and softer towels. Maybe also some nicer bathroom products especially for a four night stay. Recommended!

this place is excellent. really as shown in the photos. convenient location and very comfortable for two people. very clean and has everything Necessary for a visit to Madrid. The only detail that did not seem correct to me is that I had to pay 20 euros because my flight arrived after 9pm, I have used airbnb for a long time in different parts of the world and it is the first time that I have to pay this fee. 100% recommended if you don't mind paying extra to receive the keys.

Well appointed spacious apartment in the heart of busy Chueca. Lots of light and windows that open to the street. It is in the heart of a commercial zone which means great access to bars, restaurants and shopping. This also means noise of course, so if you are looking for a quiet stay, this is not the apartment for you. For us, it was perfect!

Hi; We stayed in Marta Y Nacho's apartment at the beginning of January 2023, the apartment is located in the center . We found the apartment spacious and tidy. Marta was available and attentive to our requests. It should be borne in mind that the apartment is located on a central and busy street and is therefore highly temperamental during most hours of the day. We loved it and would be happy to stay there again.

Marta's apartment is very lovely apartment , centrally located in Malasana, very close to shops, plenty of choices of restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay overall, just a bit loud at night, so its tough to get a good night sleep, but perfect if you want to be close of all shops and restaurants. Marta is very pleasant and responsive to our messages, which we appreciated very much. We look forward to returning.

Marta y Nacho’s beautiful, mid-century modern flat is in a fantastic, high-energy, youthful part of Madrid. There is no end of options for food and drink and plenty of shopping. The flat is comfortable, with a great bed and 1.5 baths. The kitchen is well-stocked, down to thoughtfully provided bottles of water. Right now the flat only sleeps two, contrary to the description.

Marta's apartment is wonderfully located, right where "all roads lead to" Gran Via. So while one has the lovely shops and cafes around, it also has the feel of an upscale residential Madrid neighbourhood. Every possible convenience required is close by. The apartment itself is very well-equipped, comfortable, stylishly done and a great place to come back to and relax after hectic shopping. Marta particularly is a great host, always in touch and happy to provide suggestions, answer queries, etc. We enjoyed staying there and hope to go back soon.

Great location, close walk to Metro and lots around to do and see. The whole apartment had a lot of space and very comfortable bed. It was great to be able to have a washer to use as well. I’m older buildings, it’s such a blessing to have an elevator as well so you don’t have to lug suitcases up the stairs. Check in and check out was super easy, and the host was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Marta and Arturo’s apartment was perfect for our first trip to Madrid. It is centrally located on a main shopping street (noise is not an issue) and only a 10-15 minute walk in every direction to the city’s best attractions. The apartment itself was clean, has everything you need to feel comfortable, and even bigger than we expected. We’d definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip.

The apartment is in a great location. The Malasaña neighborhood is fun and filled with great restaurants and shops. It is walking distance or a short metro ride to everything in downtown Madrid. I felt safe and comfortable. There was street noise at night, especially on Friday, but that is to be expected given the location. Ear plugs helped. The apartment had everything I needed and I had a great experience with the hosts — they were very responsive and check in was very easy. Thank you Marta and Arturo!

Great apartment, well located right in the heart of the city with easy access to both Metro and restaurants. It is a first floor apartment and as an inevitable result of its central location it was noisy late in the evenings and overnight. Just remember your ear plugs and you will have a great time!

Neat, clean apartment in a terrific area of Madrid. Everything is updated. The bedroom was very comfortable, spacious and lovely and the bathrooms were newly renovated. The apartment is in a great central location. The posting says that it sleeps 4 but the pullout sofa is really more like a futon - my teenage son was able to sleep on it ok by himself - two young children may fit on it- but two adults would not sleep comfortably. Overall, we enjoyed the apartment very much and had a lovely stay!

The best part of the apartment is an unbeatable location. Floor furnishings and decor are nicely, however, there are plenty of details that could be better taken care of. The sofa bed is disassembled from the rail that holds it with the weight of an adult, in the bathtub the shower head does not work, the sink is somewhat clogged... and the cleaning of the floor is quite surface, when mounting the sofa bed and moving the bedside tables you could notice old dirt... An apartment that probably enjoys a young couple without children who are going to enjoy the nightlife of Madrid, for a couple with small children, as is our case, not so much...

Room darkening shades kept it pretty quiet from the street noise and was great for a solid rest. Updated apartment and stocked with whatever you may need. This apartment is located right on Fuencarral, one of the busiest shopping streets in Madrid, very close to Tribunal metro. For us this was fantastic, as we like being right in the middle of things, but be advised it’s crazy foot traffic on the weekends. We didn’t find it noisy or anything and we loved walking out into that energy. There are lots of groceries very close by and just about everything you could need for a long stay in the apartment, one of the better stocked kitchens and linen closets I’ve run into. We had a little trouble with the water heater which Marta helped us with right away. And in general all our questions were answered very quickly. The decor could use a little sprucing up but we were very happy there for the month.

Great apartment! Excellent location in one of the major thoroughfares in Madrid. In spite of this, it is very quiet inside. The apartment is big, even bigger than it looks in the pictures. The A/C works wonderfully, the bed is extremely comfortable, the shower is great, and the internet is fast and reliable. There were very minor issues, like one of the bathroom sinks was not draining properly. And the check-in was a little bit of a pain, since I had to grab the keys from a public locker that was at a 7 minute walk from the apartment, and dragging my large bag around was cumbersome. But I would absolutely stay there again, and highly recommend it.
