The space
This is a great two-bedroom apartment on the beach front in Fuengirola. The apartment is situated on the second floor with a south westfacing balcony offering stunning sea views.This spacious apartment is just set slightly back from the front line, with a large balcony looking out to the Mediterranean sea.The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, with air conditioning, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, a living /dining room with air conditioning and a balcony.
One of the bedrooms is en-suite; both are spacious, comfortable double rooms with twin beds, fitted wardrobes and French doors leading to the balcony. In one bathroom there is a shower, sink and toilet; in the other, a full size bath, sink and toilet.
The apartment has a modern kitchen and is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and a washing machine.
The lounge/ dining room has 2 comfortable sofas, a dining table, coffee table, there is internet with Wi-Fi, smart tv and UK TV channels plus other language channels.
The balcony has a large table and chairs for eating “al fresco” with direct view to the sea and there are sun blinds if you need a little shade.
The apartment is situated in a quieter area of Fuengirola, but still very central and close to all amenities and the beach. There is a large supermarket just 2 minutes walk from the property and just outside the door is a mini market, shops and bars.

Four of us stayed for a month and the location proved to be excellent for local walking, restaurants, shopping and excursions to Malaga, Marbella Mijas Pueblo etc. It is also walkable to buses and train station if you enjoy walking. The unit had had a good layout for 2 couples and a very nice balcony overlooking the Mediterranean and garden. We did find that the toilets were not as clean as we would have liked. The main bathroom seemed to have a slow drain at times. Furniture and kitchen utensils need upgrading as well. Madeleine was a very responsive host whenever we had questions or concerns.

There are a few! Do not rent a car, parking is a crime! The apartment is fine, somewhat dated but recently renovated. Everything is sparse, like cutlery old and not complete, old worn pans but when you eat out, which is not a problem in that neighborhood, you don't need it. The beds are less, but they do. We are not going to Fuengirola again it is a bit too busy for us, not in the apartment, that is very quiet. You will be very kindly accommodated and also the check-out went perfectly. So it wasn't up to the host...
