We spent 5 wonderful days with breathtaking views and a vastness that soothed the soul, our favourite dogs, a sandy beach all to ourselves, and the nicest host in the world in a perfectly furnished apartment! We knew within an hour of being here that we’d wish we could stay longer - such a wonderful view of the ocean, thoughtful renovation of the building to host guests, and the wild beauty of the landscape... In the end though, it’s the Hosts themselves who take an experience of a place to the next level - and this wonderful family has a sense of hospitality, from fresh delivery of homegrown eggs to helpful guidance on exploring all the wonders of the surrounding area, that helps you settle in to slower days and calm. (Two of the friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet as well!)

We had a wonderful time in Roundstone. We received a very warm welcome. The apartment is very nicely furnished. The view is unparalleled! Thanks to the great weather, we were even able to go into the sea on 2 days at the "private beach", which is within walking distance. Bridget was always there, and she is very likeable. You feel at ease right away. Her son brought us eggs from his chickens 😊. There are also 2 dogs who were sociable and popped by every now and then. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay very much.

What a magical spot by the ocean! You relax immediately upon arriving there. Bridget couldn't do enough for us - including supplying fresh eggs from her hens. The home is clean, well-appointed and very comfortable. An awesome stay. Thank you Bridget for looking after us so well.

Superb. Wave Watchers was a fabulous stay and it was sad to walk away on check-out day. Our arrival began with a wonderful in-person greeting from our very affable hosts, Bridgette & Philip. They're the type of people you feel you've known without having ever met before. The house was super clean, well-equipped & nicely furnished. The landscape and seascape views from the place are spectacular; the surroundings a true sensory goldmine. Wave Watchers is ideal for visiting the area highlights, close enough to town for restaurants and shopping, yet far enough away for some great chill time and countryside walks. Added niceties were the daily visits from the dogs & chickens and Harry even treated us to some of his flock's world-class eggs (Thank you again, Harry!). Rating Wave Watchers five stars was simple math. Highly recommended!

We had a truly wonderful stay and can highly recommend this place. The house is beautifully located by the sea, with stunning views of the waves – perfect for switching off and leaving everyday stress behind. The area is fantastic for relaxing, walking, and exploring nature, with great routes starting right from the house. It’s an ideal spot if you want a mix of calm, fresh air, and beautiful surroundings. Bridget and her family were excellent hosts – always helpful, easy to reach, and full of great local tips. A special highlight were the fresh eggs from Harry in the morning. The animals also added a lot of charm, especially the friendly dogs who always came by to say hello. Everything was clean, well prepared, and exactly as described. Overall, a very special place that we would happily return to.

We spent 4 days at Bridget's. The chalet is renovated with great taste. Everything is comfortable and designed to make you feel good. The views are just beautiful. Bridget is full of little touches and very attentive to making your stay perfect. A big thank you to Harry for his great eggs!!

Bridget and her family welcomed us very well. The house is outstading and extremely well-equipped. The view and the sound of the waves... How peaceful ! The calmness of the place, the true sense of plenitude... You Just have to spend a few days here and your worries will be gone. Around, all is sheer beauty, a “savage beauty” as Oscar W. would say. The local beach, at low tide with its small creek, is incredible. The sunset, after a quick walk at the end of the road, is magical. At less than 1 car hour of every activity/place we planned to do/visit, we recommend it 1000 times and more. Thanks a lot to Bridget, a marvelous host, for her pure kindness, very thoughtful throughout our stay. “Wave watcher” has become our favorite place in whole Ireland.

Wave Watcher Chalet has a wonderful and magic atmosphere. We had an absolutely amazing stay. The Chalet has everything, really everything you need to feel at home. Nothing was missing. You just want to sit at the house and look to the sea with the rough coastline ( if you are lucky you will see dolphins, like we did ). Or walk the coastline with one of Bridgets dogs. We couldn't have expected our last days in Eire to be the highlight. But it was. Bridget is a very gentle and kind person. we loved to talk with her. Thank you for everything. And special thanks to Bridgets son Harry and his hens.

The surroundings and the view from the chalet is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed exploring the rocks and having a beautiful sunny day out. Bridget was also such a lovely host and made us feel right at home. Harry (Bridget’s son) even gifted us a few eggs from his beloved hens! It was such a memorable stay here and we would love to come back again someday.

We stayed with Bridget in her beautiful holiday home and had the most wonderful time. She is an absolute superhost – warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Our little son was thrilled with the friendly dogs and curious chickens, and to top it all off, we even spotted dolphins from the garden! The views are simply breathtaking. The house itself is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, and has everything you could possibly need. We would come back in a heartbeat!

This adorable chalet met and exceeded our expectations. Bridget, the host, was so welcoming and hospitable, we felt right at home and simply didn’t want to leave. We loved that her pups and her son’s hens would pop by every now and then to say hi! The chalet was very comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The location is perfect and quiet with the most amazing views. We were within walking distance to a lovely beach and only a short car ride from Ballyconnelly, Roundstone, and Clifden. I literally can’t say enough good things about this place and will definitely be returning!

We had the most magical holiday in Connemara. Bridget's holiday home overlooking the sea is a wonderful spot with beautiful views. Bridget was so helpful and thoughtful, keeping in touch with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our kids were able to feed chickens and meet the lambs too. The house is so well kitted out. We were made to feel very welcome. There are lots of great walks in the area, including Diamond Hill and Errisbeg, picturesque beaches (so many!) and gorgeous views in all directions. Nearby Clifden has lovely restaurants, bars and shops and is definitely worth a visit. There's also a small shop in Ballyconneely too. We highly recommend Bridget's place, we absolutely loved our stay.

If we could give more stars we would. What a fantastic place to recharge our batteries for a few days. Bridget could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Her home is beautifully decorated and has everything you might need for a family of four. The most stunning views, comfortable beds, hot shower and lovely touches all made it feel like home from home. Very quiet beach within walking distance and dogs bay only 5min drive. Both beaches perfect for kids to splash about. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Bridget and her whole family were wonderful with us. We were pampered. They were very welcoming. We had a few present in the fridge, fruit, etc ... nice trooop. The house is gorgeous. It is very beautiful externally and internally. It's tastefully furnished. It feels like a home away from home. It is well located for walking and sightseeing. The conemara is beautiful. The house is by the ocean. The place is beautiful and breathtaking in terms of landscape and views. We're close to a beautiful beach on foot. The nature is beautiful, you can see the sheep of course. And wild animals such as rabbits. We had an amazing stay The Irish are very welcoming too. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality from all of you Bridget Solange

Our stay at Bridget’s Airbnb in Connemara was absolutely magical. The location is breathtaking, right by the coast, offering total tranquility while still being close to incredible hikes, stunning drives, charming towns, and amazing food. Every evening, we watched the sunset on a peaceful private beach before relaxing by the cozy stove with Netflix. Our days were packed with adventure, from hiking Mweelrea and driving the Sky Road to visiting Kylemore Abbey and enjoying fantastic meals in Clifden and The Misunderstood Heron. Bridget is an outstanding host, warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. She even had a fire lit for us each evening before we returned, making it feel like a true home away from home. This trip was everything we could have hoped for. The scenery, the house, the peace, and the hospitality made it unforgettable. We completely fell in love with Connemara and can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for the perfect escape, this is it.
