Hawthorn House is nestled in the quaint, rural village of Ros Muc in the heart
of the Connemara Gaeltacht. The house is surrounded by the rugged Atlantic
Ocean and also boasts spectacular views of the 12 bens. A short walk in either
direction will bring you to Roskeeda Pier or the local historical landmark,
Conroy’s Pier, which was once a hub of activity for past generations. This much
loved home is an ideal setting to reconnect with nature, to explore the
beautiful Wild Atlantic Way while allowing to return to comfort and luxury at
the end of your daily adventure. With ample decking and patio, equipped with
outdoor seating and barbecue, you are invited to take full advantage of your
stunning surroundings while you enjoy a morning breakfast or an evening meal
or simply to sit and take in a breathtaking sunset.

With two living room areas and an office space/hangout den, Hawthorn
house provides plenty of space for all to sit back, relax, and enjoy the luxury the
house has to offer on a rainy day. Having to work shouldn’t mean you can’t
enjoy a break away. The house has a tranquil office space that overlooks the
front garden. Fiber broadband ensures your day is as productive as possible.
The house itself is a much loved and cared for family home. Once you step
inside, you are greeted by a large warm and welcoming entrance hall with a
spectacular bespoke staircase.

The door to the right provides entrance to the first cozy living area with a large
bay window that overlooks the patio and front garden. The 55” tv and three
seater, two seater and armchair, all recliners, provide a cozy atmosphere for
you to enjoy.

The open layout of the plan means that the main entrance, the kitchen, dining
and second living area become one. The modern, yet warm country style
cream kitchen with solid oat counter tops provides the ideal space to enjoy a
meal in. The kitchen is equipped with a Rangemaster stove with duel fuel
stove top as well as the latest kitchen must-haves including a double 9.5l Ninja
Air fryer and also a Ninja juicer/smoothie maker. A special feature of this
kitchen is a state of the art coffee station equipped with a bespoke Sage coffee
maker that bring beans to cup in seconds. The large island area provides
seating for 5 and provides the perfect area to enjoy a sensational coffee. A
bespoke Stanley pellet stove provides a convenient, easy to use, instant
heating source at the touch of a button.

Connected to the kitchen is the dining area with double doors that open onto
the large decking area. The large oat table provides seating for up to 8 people
and provides remarkable views of the Atlantic Ocean and mountains.
A stone step from the kitchen brings you to the second living area with a 3
seater, two seater and arm chair. This is the perfect area to read, watch Tv or
simply take advantage of your quiet tranquil surroundings.

Finally, the kitchen opens into a utility area that houses a washing machine,
tumble dryer and airing room with clothes horse.
Venturing back out to the hall from the kitchen and turning to your right will
bring you to the main bathroom with walk-in shower and marble tiling.
To the left you will find the spacious home office that looks out on the luscious
front lawn. With ample workspace, it is also stocked with a selection of books
for all ages, this space also doubles as a hangout den space.

Directly across the hall from the office/den is bedroom 1:

Bedroom 1:

This double room is located at the back of the house and hosts a king size bed
that boasts a recently bought Emma mattress. The bespoke custom built
sliderobe, with a full-length mirror and shoe rack, provides ample space for
clothing and shoes. The room also features a desk/vanity table and chair with
backlit mirror.

Bedroom 2:

At the top of the stairs to the left is bedroom number two. Equipped with a
king-size bed that boasts a recently bought Emma mattress, a desk/vanity table
and chair with a backlit mirror, and a custom-built walk-in wardrobe.

Bedroom 3:

The second door to the left is bedroom number 3. Equipped with a double bed
that boasts a recently bought Emma mattress, a desk/vanity table, and chair
with backlit mirror and a custom built walk in wardrobe.

Bedroom 4:

The master bedroom is located at the top of the stairs to the right. This extra
spacious bedroom is equipped with a king size bed that boasts a recently
bought Emma mattress. It also is large enough to comfortably house a vanity
table and stool, as well as a large chest of drawers. To the right is an extra--
large custom built wardrobe and dressing room. To the left is an exquisite en
suite with extra-large rainfall shower and extra-large Jacuzzi bath. This
provides a haven and the taste of a spa experience at home.

The main bathroom, number two, is also located upstairs and is conveniently
located close to bedrooms 2 and 3. This bathroom is equipped with a large
corner shower as well as a bath.

Exterior:

Ample parking, a large lawn area at the back and the front and a long
windy drive way that provides extra peace and tranquility.

Hawthorn House is a stunning and peaceful retreat nestled in the heart of Ros Cíde, offering an authentic experience of Connemara's rugged beauty. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the property was carefully designed, and meticulously maintained, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. The house is situated deep in the idyllic landscape, far from the hustle and bustle - a perfect choice for those seeking tranquillity and immersion in nature. Every amenity was in excellent condition, from the fully equipped kitchen to the cosy living spaces that were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Irene, the house manager, was an absolute joy to communicate with. Always prompt and accommodating, she ensured that our stay was seamless and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a secluded escape to truly appreciate the rugged charm of Connemara, Hawthorn House is an exceptional choice. We left feeling refreshed and connected to the beauty of Ireland’s west. Highly recommended!

Beautiful🤩 !! Little piece of paradise in Rosmuc We spent a few days in this beautiful house, the photos and description do not lie, everything was perfect, a breathtaking view of the sea and the surrounding moors, beautiful volumes, very beautiful decoration, impeccable cleanliness, all the amenities we needed and even more! A big thank you to our hosts for this little haven of peace that they make available, we able to enjoy Connemara while feeling at home🥰. And a big thank you to Irene the house manager, who took great care of us, whether it was to provide us with the baby bed for our daughter in record time or who always responded with kindness and speed to all our questions or requests! It makes you want to come back!

A very comfortable home away from home. A large home with lots of space. Ideal for a large family group with a pet. Our dog had a wonderful time. The home is replete with all the mod cons you would expect in a house in an urban setting but very much feels like a country home. The owners have designed and built a comfortable and modern country family home. The scenery is stunning and the outdoor space at this home allows guests to enjoy the views. The home is set in an important historical area. The cottage of Padraig Pearse (signatory to the Irish Proclamation and hero and martyr of 1916), now a national monument, is nearby and well worth a visit. The home is set within a famous Irish language speaking area and it is wonderful to listen to people in shops and pubs, like O’Malleys Post Office and shop, speaking a beautiful language with their beautiful and distinct accent. We also managed to get good weather!! Irene, who helps manage the house, was very friendly and helpful.
