Oughterard is an attractive, bustling village on the shores of one of Ireland’s premier fishing locations, Lough Corrib. The Lough is considered a trout angler’s dream.
The space
Fough East self catering holiday home is a friendly, welcoming and quiet place to stay. With room for up to 10 guests.It takes a two-minute walk to enjoy a good pint and Irish music in Oughterard’s pubs with lovely food in the restaurants. We are located very close to the centre of Oughterard and just 27km from Galway city. Oughterard is an attractive, bustling village on the shores of one of Ireland’s premier fishing locations, Lough Corrib. The Lough is considered a trout angler’s dream. This is an ideal place to stay for touring the West of Ireland, or relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds us.
The style of the cozy rooms offered in Fough East is a mix of modern and country. All rooms are ensuite Sufficient pillows and eiderdown-blankets are standard. Children of all ages are welcome in Fough East, and babysitting can be arranged if required. Free W-Lan is provided. There is central heating throughout. Off-street car parking is provided. Both German and English, are spoken by the owner.

Traveled to Ireland with my kids and grandchildren. This house was amazing with plenty of room and a separate bath in each bedroom. Our trip to Ireland was a dream. Galway and Connemara easy to get to from this location. We loved our stay in Oughterard where we started our days with a stroll to the small town grocer for coffee and cinnamon rolls, and ended our nights with Guinness and cider in the coziest pubs. We explored castles and cliffs, and ate our body weight in seafoods. I highly recommend this home and location.

We were visiting Ireland for a wedding in Dublin and decided to make a whole trip of it. This was by for our favorite leg of the trip. The house was perfect. We even had a sweet treat upon arrival. It had everything we needed and more. The host was kind and helpful. Our kids enjoyed playing in the side yard and there was plenty of room to wear them out. The town was walkable with really great restaurants, a laundromat, several grocery stores and many cute shops within a few blocks. The host helped us find driver for our day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. We will definitely be recommending this air bnb to everyone and will be back. :)

Lovely place for a larger group looking to explore Connemara or enjoy themselves in Oughterard. Owner lives nearby and is very responsive. The place was super clean, and has plenty of books and games + TV to enjoy. 2 chickens roaming the gardens and a very friendly cat was a nice surprise! Would recommend!

- For a full refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 full days prior to listing’s local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email).
- For a 50% refund of the nightly rate, the guest must cancel 7 full days before the listing's local check-in time (shown in the confirmation email), otherwise no refund will be given. If only 50% of the reservation has been paid, no refund will be issued and the remaining 50% will simply not be charged.
- If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance or decides to leave early after check-in, the nights not spent are not refunded.
- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
- Accommodation fees (the total nightly rate you’re charged) are refundable in certain circumstances as outlined below.
- A reservation is officially cancelled when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Change or Cancel.
