Set near the shores of Lough Corrib, one of Ireland’s most famous fishing destinations, the area is a paradise for anglers, nature lovers, and adventurers alike. Spend your days fishing for wild brown trout, hiking through scenic countryside, exploring ancient ruins, or simply soaking in the serenity of the lake views. Galway City is just 27km away — close enough for a day trip, yet far enough to ensure a peaceful country escape.
Inside, Fough East combines modern comfort with rustic charm. Each of the five ensuite bedrooms is uniquely styled, with warm wooden floors, inviting textures, and thoughtful details that create a sense of calm and relaxation. The house is designed for togetherness, yet each room offers a private sanctuary to unwind after a day of exploring.

Bedroom 1: King-size bed, open wardrobe, chest of drawers, and armchair. Ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 2: King-size bed, open wardrobe, working open fireplace, and two armchairs — a perfect spot for quiet conversation. Ensuite shower room.
First Floor:
Bedroom 3: Double bed, built-in wardrobe, and armchair. Ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 4: Twin room with two single beds, ideal for friends or younger guests. Ensuite shower room.
Bedroom 5: King-size bed, bright and spacious, with an ensuite shower room.
Throughout the home, you’ll find free WiFi, central heating, and plenty of thoughtful touches to make your stay easy and comfortable. Off-street parking is provided, and the friendly owner who speaks both English and German is always happy to offer local tips or help arrange babysitting if needed.

The ratings published by Connemara Holiday Lettings are general ratings of the properties they manage, as they are intermediaries between the owner and Airbnb. In fact, upon arrival, a review was posted about this accommodation in which they said that some beds were very uncomfortable and the price was very high for the quality and condition of the accommodation. A price that the owner was unaware of. I did not like that they could charge me a non-refundable deposit of €105 in case the apartment was damaged, or a deposit of €500 on my credit card, because they say things happen. I've been on this platform for many years and I've never left a property in worse condition than I found it. You have to explain well in the listings and be honest if you are an intermediary, saying so clearly. I don't think it's acceptable that if they receive a complaint, their response is that they don't manage the accommodation directly, since they take a significant commission.

This was one of the best rentals we’ve ever had. Great location in a very beautiful, quaint Irish town – easy walk to pubs and restaurants. The accommodation was so nice-squeaky clean, plenty of space for everyone – five nice size bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and a full kitchen and dining area and TV area where we could relax after a day of exploring the Irish coast. The host was very kind and made us feel welcome when we arrived with homemade scones and strawberry jam, answered all our questions and gave us some great recommendations on places to eat. I give it my highest possible recommendation!
