This charming bungalow is in a beautifully scenic location on the furnace road, about 10 minutes from Maam cross and 10 minutes from Rossaveal making going to the Aran Islands very easy, there are loads of great things to do locally, we loved OUGHTERARD, Aughnanure Castle, Leenane, Killary Fjord Boat trip, Killary Sheep Farm, and Bridget’s Gardens and Kylemore abbey. If you have small children maybe bring blackout blinds as the curtains are light. The house was very clean and there is a nice little garden at the front that small children can play in. Very very enjoyable.

Large house with beautiful views of the surrounding area. However, the boiler is old, noisy and generates smoke odors. The bedding is comfortable and the rooms are nice. The kitchen and bathroom are outdated. The radiators are rusty. Initially, we had the impression that the house was occupied: shoes in the garage, not neutral decoration (trophies of darts, porcelain doll, blessed water), old-fashioned kitchen but we got used to it and had a nice stay. We were asked for a deposit of €200 by email and text. We did not follow up and no one finally asked for it but it generated stress before arriving at the rental.

Nice house with exceptional views on the lakes and mountains, if you want to be in the heart of Connemara (1hr drive from Galway or Clifden). The only upsetting event was when the owner came one evening on the property, unannounced, looking for things in the garage, hardly saying a word to us. It was very unsettling.
