This is a beautiful house in West Ireland with great views across the water. I don’t believe you can have much better views. Large windows and unobstructed views over the lakes. The house is very well equipped and all asks we had were taken care of quickly by the owner. One point worth mentioning is that we couldn’t use the fireplace due to repairs. We stayed in January 2026. If you want to use the fireplace you may want to check before booking with the agency or owner. Other than this, a perfect house in a stunning surrounding. Thanks for letting us stay in your house.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The view was more than incredible and this time of year, we were able to enjoy stormy evenings which we love. The wind and the rain was like a lullaby. We especially loved making friends with the beautiful white horse that roamed the nearby property each day. We named her, Baby since we did not know her name, but she always came running when we called. The carrots may have had something to do with that. We plan to return for the incredible view and of course, our new friend, Baby.

Wonderful stay with an incredible and grandiose view, from the living room or upstairs. The house is large and very comfortable. Nothing is missing. We met the owners to solve a problem on the coffee machine and they were charming and very friendly. For outings, we visited the surrounding ports and villages including Roundstone and Cliffden. Same for groceries. The whole area is beautiful, without having to do too many kilometres, because of the narrow roads. The restaurant and pub addresses given in the booklet are very good. House to recommend for combining walks, rest and views!

Peaceful, scenic, and beautifully designed - this lakeside home is a dream base for exploring Connemara. The house is spotless, private, and filled with thoughtful touches. Both bedrooms are spacious, and the fully equipped kitchen made cooking easy. We ate outside most mornings with a view of the lake - often greeted by an inquisitive white horse from an adjacent property. A movie in the cinema room or a game by the fire was a perfect way to relax after a day of hiking or beach visits. There’s no A/C (common in Ireland) but don't worry you won't need it - skylights and windows bring in a cool Irish breeze during the day and evenings. The added bonus of a washer and dryer made it easy to pack light and stay comfortable throughout the trip. The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Five stars across the board - this is the kind of place you hesitate to share because you don’t want it to get booked up. We’ll be back.
