This was an ideal letting for a big family. The local contact, Colette, was very attentive and helpful. We were generally very happy. Three negative points; - There are no coat hooks in the entrance hall. With 6 people and 12 coats, this is a real problem. - There was no shoe rack in the entrance hall. Again, 6 people x 2 pairs of shoes each minimum = a real need to store shoes. - As with many places, there was virtually no surface in either bathroom for cosmetics, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, hairbrush and all the other little items needed when travelling. Why do hosts never think of this need?

The house has plenty of room for 8 persons. Colette was very friendly and always responded quickly. The house is a little worn out and very clairaudient.

Very pleasant stay, where we were able to celebrate Saint Patrick on Galway, always as lively and pleasant. We spent eight days as a family with our 88-year-old mom, who had her private bathroom. Beautiful terrace, large kitchen/dining area. Quiet and private place close to the sea and at the gates of Parc du Connemara. Colette has always been responsive and available for us. Idyllic stay! I highly recommend this place and Spiddal is a charming place to discover, probably very pleasant in summer too... So we will come back to the sunny days!:) Thank you for the welcome, Colette. The house is mazing, spotless and in an ideal location to explore the Connemara coast! Walking distance to great pubs and restaurants in Spiddal and on the Wild Atlantic Way! The team are responsive and super helpful!

Our stay in Spiddal was so comfortable in this great house. It was so spacious and the clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also the location is great, you can walk to the village in less than 5 minutes. We would definitely stay here again, 100% recommend.

Such a lovely stay and the perfect place for us to get away from london but also see family in Galway. Love the area, the cafes are great and there’s lots of walks to do. Colette was so lovely and helpful too. Would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay in Spiddal in Colette’s house. This was our second time staying there, and the house is very comfortable for a family of 6. We appreciated having some essentials in the house and the ease of contact with Colette. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in Bláth Fiáin in Spiddal, and a walk down to the craft village. Would recommend this house for a stay in Spiddal.

The house is excellent, high standard, very good heating, nice location and local neighbours very friendly. My dog loved the house and green that the houses surround. The house is easy walking distance to Spiddal village and the sea. The host is very responsive and friendly. I had a fantastic time here.

Lovely stay, great location in the centre of Spiddal and Colette was lovely to deal with. House has every thing you could need including a games room upstairs. Would recommend bringing bath towels, there are lots of towels provided but they’re small.

Very comfortable spacious house! Really well equipped. Also ideal for families. It's located in a very small estate but very near the centre of the village, the pier and the endless beach. The sea is visible from the upstairs windows and one can hear it on a stormy night. We loved it.

Great location, a few minutes walk to the harbour and beach.some nice bars and restaurants within easy reach. Very clean and comfortable house, friendly and helpful owner.

This was a fantastic space for our large family gathering. The open plan ground floor was completely toddler proof and this allowed us to feel very relaxed! The house is no-frills but it’s large, clean and comfortable. Very easy to heat and to keep clean. We had many swims on the nearby beaches, including the iconic Silver Strand. Spiddal itself is gorgeous with a beautiful grotto at its centre, a couple of cosy pubs, a little shop and a beautiful arts village just a short walk away. The surrounding countryside is spectacular, with every little road offering views, traditional cottages, old stone walls and plenty of donkeys to feed an apple to!! We found the local people very friendly indeed. A fantastic place for a outdoorsy family holiday. Galway city is also just a short drive away and was just buzzing with activity. I highly recommend this lovely getaway!

House was fantastic, lots of space, comfortable and well laid out. Big kitchen which was ideal for us as we were cooking all of our meals. Location was very close to Spiddal village with shops, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, Check in / out was great and Collette was helpful in answering all of my questions. This would be an even better location in the summer if touring around Connemara etc.

Lovely comfortable house in a quiet area, only a short walk to Spiddal, the sea front, the craft village and great pizza! Colette had all the essentials in the house for us, with plenty of towels and spare bed linen, which we appreciated. Would highly recommend this spacious house for a family or group of friends.
