The highlight for us? The property’s Roof Top Lounge is a true standout, featuring really lovely comfy seating. It’s the perfect place to unwind after an exciting day in Malta—the breeze is spectacular year-round. The large terrace is ideal for both sunrise and sunset, where you can enjoy an Aperol Spritz, a glass of wine, or, if you’re on a personal detox journey, a smoothie or warm tea to melt your worries away. Our Zzzing recommendation: Take the elevator up to the rooftop lounge, armed with a bottle of local wine, and watch the sky transform into hues of red and orange at dusk.

The location was good and the price was satisfactory compared to the stay. Unfortunately, when we arrived in the afternoon, the room was dirty because they hadn't cleaned it after the previous guests. Until a solution was found, it took 1.5 hours and they made us nervous, mainly because they had the audacity to tell us to cancel the stay and find somewhere else to stay - in a foreign country , 8 o'clock in the evening with a child! Unacceptable! The solution was to send a cleaner at that time and of course we should leave to clean. There was no action on their part as an apology. They only left large body towels - no smaller ones. The room has only one window and is quite dark at the top on the mezzanine. The air conditioning is in the loft so at the bottom it's cold and also because the window is old and it gets cold from it. All of the building has a bad smell. They didn't have any other amenities, like bottled water, slippers, individual soaps, body wash, or shampoo.

Our stay with our host was absolutely great! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, close to the sea and excellent restaurants. The host was very friendly, helpful, and communication was quick and smooth. We would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

The Florian is an excellent choice: you live there quietly, but in a few minutes walk you are at the ferry to Valletta. But Bormla itself is also worth a few days of sightseeing and enjoyment. I especially liked the walk along the Grand Harbour and to a park where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets.

- Cleaning fees are always refunded if the reservation is cancelled before check-in.
