This beautifully renovated property which sleeps 10 includes 4 double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, two roof patios and a gorgeous games room.
The space
La Cantina is full of Maltese features that you will fall in love with. The large stone slabs, the arch-ways, the cellars, the magnificent charm truly give a taste of what a country household in Malta was like - this home will take you back in time. Designed with comfort in mind, La Cantina comes fully equipped with everything you need to ensure an enjoyable stay full of authentic Maltese experiences. This Zzzing Home is recommended for groups, couples or large families who are looking to live in Malta’s village core. The property’s large open social spaces give guests a great opportunity to dine, relax and unwind together. The location is quiet, intriguing, full of so much charm& it’s really close to Malta’s capital city Valletta. The locals are friendly, there are a number of really cute vintage shops nearby as well as popular eateries including an award-winning restaurant specialising in Maltese cuisine.

The Cellars
The cosy games room in the cellars is the perfect balance of comfort and style, with room for everyone to socialise, watch TV and relax - a billiard table and a darts board will make your evenings fun. Smart TVs are all over the house and you can log in to your own Netflix account to continue to binge watch your favourite programmes if you desire.

The Kitchen
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything to make your stay as easy as possible. There is: washing machine, oven, electric induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans and utensils.

The 4 bedrooms
All four bedrooms have an ensuite and are stylishly decorated and fitted with single or double beds, soft bed linens and fluffy towels. Each room has space to hang and store your clothes and a remote working station for full comfort.

The Roof Patios
The roof patios are a great place to enjoy the sunshine any time of the day. Our styling team has carefully curated a roof top lounge set-up for you to enjoy in Malta’s beautiful evenings. Whether you want to read a book, relax and enjoy a glass of local wine, (or taste Malta’s popular beer) indulge in a deep conversation with a loved one or stare at the stars, this magical roof top will quickly become your favourite space.

Parking
There are plenty of parking options located a short distance from the property. You will be able to park up temporarily and unload your belongings in front of the house but please note that you are not able to leave your car here as it is a narrow, one-way road. As described. Thanks to the previous reviews, we were able to anticipate the bells. Too bad we didn't know about the many stairs before because we were with elderly people. There are no utensils in the kitchen, we made do with the means at hand and the help of the Zzzing team for the missing equipment.

We stayed at the property in October with 6 people for 5 nights. Pro: - Easy check in - Good and fast communication - Plenty of space - "Local feeling" - nice little restaurants and shopping - Rooftop terrace - Comfortable bed linen and beds Cons: - The condition of the apartment is significantly worse than shown in the pictures. - Damp/musty smell from the vaulted cellar in the entrance area - Mould/water stains in each of the bedrooms - Shower head defective, but was repaired after two days. - Toilet lid loose/clocks/TV kitchen did not work - Kitchen equipment insufficient and partly in poor condition - Coffee machine not usable with the available capsules despite explanation - Volume from the church bells! Church right next door. Bells ring every 15 minutes. On Saturday/Sunday, a church service will be held for 1 hour and 30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. Sleeping is absolutely impossible!

Would totally stay again. The rooftop terraces (2) were a delight, relaxing above much of the village and catch the fresh air. The basement game room delighted our kids - good memories and unwinding after sightseeing. Siggiewi felt very, very safe. Small streets, good people, etc. Tiny grocery kiosk across street for essentials like milk, fruit, pasta, cans. He even carried our water to our doorstep for us! A larger grocery store was within walking distance. We found the church bells beautiful (quieter in some bedrooms). And at Holy Week before Easter, which was when we went, the church square came alive for one of the big events of this small village: the Maundy Thursday devotional light display and pilgrim walk to Laferla Cross. A very holy thing to experience. And like other Maltese villages, the clapper rang from the bell tower nonstop for that evening. So we experienced both loud and quiet! Typical stone-house smell on lower floors. Owner quickly reinserted a plug for us.
