Nice and welcoming apartment that can accommodate up to 3 people, located in the modern Milan-Bicocca district, in a very convenient position to reach the Bicocca University Campus (700m), the Niguarda Hospital and the Arcimboldi Theatre. Just 400 meters away is the Ca' Granda stop on the lilac M5 metro line, perfect for reaching Garibaldi, CityLife and San Siro Stadio.
The space
The 50m2 apartment is located on the ground floor of a Milanese building (please note: there are some steps in the entrance hall).

Internally, the accommodation is organized as follows:

-Living room with single sofa bed, TV, split AC and open kitchenette with induction hob, oven, fridge, kettle

-Bathroom with bidet and shower cubicle

-Bedroom on the mezzanine reachable via internal stairs with double bed, split AC and TV. Please note: this room is not acoustically isolated from the rest of the house

Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 383 - 6/10/2022).
Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings
Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.

The apartment has potential, but a few essential things are missing that make the stay difficult. It is close to the metro, which can take you directly to San Siro, and has a good surrounding area. The apartment itself was also nicely decorated, but there was perhaps a TV too much. The check-in was cumbersome. To check in, we had to enter a lot of information about passports and so on, which took a long time. When we reached the apartment we had to wait for instructions on a remote key box over Whats App. Since Whats App is not an app that people in my country use, it just becomes cumbersome - also because Airbnb writes that you have to communicate through them, for your own safety. Deficiencies in the apartment. The kitchen lacked both a cutting board, cloth and dishcloths for the dishes. In the bedroom there were nicely arranged towels, but there was no duvet cover. The fridge was filled with condensation when we arrived, which made our food wet.

The apartment was clean but very noisy. In the bedroom, the window is completely blocked with a metal sheet facing the busy street, so it cannot be opened. The street noise at night makes it impossible to sleep peacefully without earplugs. The air conditioning is very loud – the external unit is most likely located in the bedroom closet. I did not feel safe – the entrance door was fully glazed and opened onto a courtyard where people were constantly walking. On the day of our departure, long before check-out time, someone entered the apartment and took the bed linen and towels to the laundry while we were at the grocery store. We were not informed that third parties might enter the apartment during our stay. Another person appeared at 10:50 a.m. (check-out at 11:00) to inspect the apartment – I was still finishing packing my suitcases. The area is fine, but the apartment has no additional amenities.

You can always reach someone easily, unfortunately no dishwasher available. The cleanliness was moderate, you have to wash everything yourself again. The location is quite good and otherwise the apartment is beautiful, you feel comfortable and safe. Bed linen is very strange, but apparently it is like that in Italy - you should definitely bring your own bed linen. Otherwise, it was super nice, everyone was very friendly and the location is relatively central. If you arrive by car, a day's parking costs €12-13.

Difficult arrival, because the host was more than an hour late, with no news from the latter. We had to wait in front of the building for 1 hour 30 minutes in the mosquitoes. Once inside, the accommodation is as shown in the photos but lacks everyday items such as a bath mat, tea towel, bin bags. Accommodation close to metro and supermarkets, so convenient.
